Okay ! I am here to share a lovely experience that I have had recently... 😃 I know most of you all are already aware of it... surprisingly😆
First of all, I am sorry for not being able to come online on IF much these days.🤔 Its been a month that I have shifted to Mumbai as my training location for Wipro is here and I am going to stay here till Feb ! Fortunately, 11th Dec falls within my stay period and I surely had made some plans in advance in order to make it big😛. However, being a weekday, I had almost lost hope of going to the sets and celebrating Daya sir's bday with him at all. After a lot of difficulties, somehow the plan was made possible and me, along with my mom and some friends visited the Adaalat sets where the shoot for the Adaalat-CID movie was on. The shoots were from Adaalat's side and not by FWP so I was a little worried if we would be able to meet Daya sir at all or not. However, the few people from FW who were present there were sweet enough and took good care of us😊. We had reached there at around 3.30 p.m. and were asked to wait as the shoots were going on inside the court room. We waited outside, eagerly, 😃😛 patiently and listening to the dialogues that we could hear from outside. We had taken a cake(specially ordered one in the shape of a Darwaza😆😆), a gift on behalf of all Fans that Debasree di 👏had designed and kheer prepared by my Mom.😃 Okay now at around 5 o clock, they took the much awaited break and the celebrations began. Ronit sir☺️ and the entire Adaalat team had brought one cake for Daya sir, apart from one 3 tier cake from FW... The court room was soon filled with people, with media persons ready with their cameras and microphones on and crew members with their cameras on. We too entered the room and the first one to notice us was Mrs.Billimoria of Adaalat fame. 😃She was extremely sweet and said "Wow... One more cake is here!! Cmon go and put that cake on the table too"... We hesitated as we didn't know anyone in the crowd and the only ones whom we knew were trio and we hadn't met them yet. We told her "Mam, we are only fans... " to which she became even more excited and announced to everyone "Hey, Daya's fans have come with cake!". Many people turned around to see us and Trio too finally looked back and greeted us with smiles that I suppose we can never forget... Satam sir said "Oh! Shogonika!!!😳 (That's how he has been pronouncing my name since years now and I think its sweet as long as he remembers my name😛😳).The people around started arranging for another table so as to keep the cake along with the other two that were already there. Finally we handed over our cake to them and as soon as Ronit sir and others took it out from the pack, there was a series of laughter, claps and comments on the shape of the cake🤣! Daya sir blushed and looked embarrassed😳 more than anything else. Aditya sir laughed out loud and so did Ronit sir. Satam sir praised the concept and asked whose brainchild it was. We told him that it was my Mom's idea and he seemed impressed. Moving on, the cake cutting ceremony began with cutting the cake arranged by Ronit sir and Adaalat crew. Most of you have already seen the entire cake cutting ceremony online as uploaded by some websites. I remember some people from Adaalat crew wished the entire CID team for the show to be a huger success even in the future and said that they hope CID runs forever .. Personally, I found it very sweet 😃😊😳 and felt very proud myself! I love how Aditya sir takes a piece of cake and makes Daya sir eat it, saying "Yaar, birthday tumhara hai, tum to khaa lo cake😃". Now everyone insisted Daya sir to cut the darwaaza cake... Some media persons said "Sir kaatie mat, tod dijie! ", even Ronit sir and others had many comments passed before Daya sir actually cut the cake. Aditya sir very sweetly says "Yaar, Daya to darwaza deserve karta hai yaar "😃 After the darwaza cake and the other cake was cut, Daya sir moved out of the centre of the crowd and came towards us. He greeted us, we wished him happy birthday and handed him over the gift that we had taken along with us. His right hand was in a mess as it was covered with cream, so Adi sir helped him in holding the huge gift😛 that we had just handed over to him. By now the media persons and everyone else had already made him the centre of attraction again. The media persons asked him to open the gift. Aditya sir and Daya sir together unwrapped the gift... (which I found extremely sweet😳😃 :P ) and then, Aditya sir explained the gift to Daya sir ( as he was experienced in this matter having received a similar gift on his birthday this year from us😃😆). In the meantime, I told Adi sir that it has exactly the same number of names as it was in his case ...i.e. 143(which also had double meaning associated with it which Aditya sir had pointed out to us)😉😆 to which he laughs. Next thing that happened was how Daya sir explains the gift to the media and says how grateful he feels to have so many people who love them a lot. I remember how he says... that he feels he will almost be in tears cos of the love shown by all fans for him😊. He explains on camera how we fans send artistic gifts(thanks to Debasree di) for every character in CID on their birthdays... All of this was extremely extremely touching for us😊...One thing is for sure, that every word that Daya sir spoke on camera was directly from the bottom of his heart😃. Nothing was artificial in it. You could just feel it!
Anyways, moving on... the next thing I did, was handing over the kheer to him. I told him how we Bengalis eat kheer on our birthdays and so My mom had specially prepared the kheer for him. Again, he seemed very much touched and overwhelmed😊. ACP sir instantly asks to arrange for spoons to which we reply that we have spoons, bowls and tissue paper already arranged 😆😆!!! I offer Aditya sir and ACP sir the kheer as well to which both reply that they would surely have it but first of all the birthday boy should taste it. Once things got ready, Daya sir was about to take the kheer, Satam sir tells me to click a photo of this moment😆😆 , which I do... But before tasting himself, Daya sir makes it a point to first give it to Satam sir, followed by the other senior actor who was sitting next to Satam sir and then to Aditya sir and finally he tastes it himself. Satam sir, who is usually extremely fond of sweets, loves the kheer and instantly asks who prepared it. When we told him that my mom has made it, he seemed very happy and said that he would one day come to Kolkata and eat Jhaal Maachh from mom😆! While Daya sir was actually busy eating and distributing the kheer, we were discussing about clicking some photos with them, which Adi sir noticed and so started calling Daya sir for it. When someone comes and asks us to come out of the court room cos the room was to be prepared for the next scenes, Adi sir asked us to wait😳😳 and click the photos before we leave. So he calls Daya sir and makes us click photos with Daya sir only first. On constant insisting, finally, Satam sir and Aditya sir join us for a group pic. After the photo session, we came out of the court room and waited for trio to come out too. My mom, who is a very big Ronit Roy fan, wanted me to ask someone if we could meet him too. So when Daya sir comes out of the room, we talk to him about some random stuffs and finally asks him if we can meet Ronit sir as well. He asks us to wait as Ronit sir would soon come out of his make up room again. In the meantime, he asks us to come out of the room as it was getting a little crowded and we do as he asks us to. We follow him out of the room, and again stop him to click a groupfie... to which he readily agrees like always😃😃😃 ! This was the second time we were clicking selfies with him and so this time too, he knew that being the tallest among us, he would obviously have to be the one to click the selfie for us! Like experts he does this in some seconds😆. We hand him over the CD which had the video that Debasree di had made for Hrishikesh Sir for his birthday. He says he will surely give it to him. He then goes inside the vanity for some more celebrations with his dear ones, but before going inside, he makes sure to tell others to help us meet Ronit sir in the meantime😊. We went towards Ronit sir's make up room and waited for him to come out. After few minutes he does come out and we tell him how much we like him and his work. We then click some pics with him and then let him go inside for the shoots. One thing I would like to say about him is that, this man is sooo stylish😳😳😳! His personality is so different from anyone else and the way he carries himself, I bet any girl would go flat for him :P Seriously😳😳😳!!!! Anyways, moving on... Soon Trio too come back for shooting. On seeing us, Daya sir makes sure to ask whether we managed to meet Ronit sir or not. They then enter for the shoots, but before going Daya sir asks us to have our seats and make us feel comfortable. Once they were inside, we decided to click a photo with Mrs.Billimoria for the extremely sweet personality that she was😃. She happily agreed and we clicked some lovely cute pics with her. We also wanted to talk to Dayashankar sir and also another veteran actor who was playing the role of the judge. However, before we could decide how to go about it, they were already inside the courtroom for the shoots. So, after all this, we decided to leave for the day as it was already quite late and the place was quite far away from our homes. Later in the evening, Daya sir called us up and asked whether we had already left and thanked us for everything that we did. This man is such a gem of a person! No one can prevent himself or herself from falling for him. He is simply one of the sweetest human being I have ever come across.😊 May God bless him always!
Well, that's it I suppose! To sum it up, I would say that we felt really special cos we could make some people feel special who are already very special to all of us! We hope Daya sir felt as good as we felt in trying to make him happy. Birthdays are those days, when we fans thank God that we have these people in our lives. Unknowingly, they have influenced our lives to a great extent, and whatever we do in return is nothing compared to that. For a gem of a person like Daya Sir, it's an honor for us to spend this special day with him. I wish I could spend all their birthdays with them, I wish I could make each of them feel special on their birthdays. It was my good luck that I could be in Mumbai during his birthday... And I hope I get many such opportunities in the future too. Apart from that I would like to thank Debasree di a lot for without her, none of their birthdays could be half special as they usually are. Its her unconditional efforts that always do the magic and bring the much wanted smile to our stars faces. Be it for Daya sir, Hrishi sir or Aditya sir, she just perfectly manages to do something extremely creative and beautiful and surprise them everytime. Thank you Debasree di. I would also like to thank Sonali di and another friend of mine who isn't on IF for accompanying me for that day. Without you guys, the experience would have remained incomplete. And before I end this, I am sorry for making it so long. I thought it would not even reach half a page, but !!! Never mind, I just hope I haven't bored you guys😛
