"As much money and life as you could want!
The two things most human beings would choose above all -
the trouble is, humans do have a knack
of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them."
~J.K.Rowling
- Raman's choice: To have Ishita dress up in his choice and show her off as his partner
- Shagun's choice: To have what she wants and to use any means to get it
- Mihika's choice: To not be able to say an outright "No" to her fiance's sister
- Ishita's choice: To be comfortable with her choice.
Somewhere in there is a wrong choice that not only sets the pattern of expectation and behavior in the individual. Shagun is narcissistic. She would not hesitate to use Ishita's benevolence to her benefit without even batting an eyelid. Both Ishita and Mihika need to understand that before they choose to give in to her whims and demands. Sometimes being selfish in the long run benefits the loved ones who we're trying to protect.
Ishita was caught up between the advices of her her mother and her mother-in-law. She chose the one that she was comfortable with, though knowing fully well what affect it would have on Raman. She chose the saree over his gown...without realizing she's rejecting his gesture...his wish to have his wife as THE woman of the evening.
On a different note jealousy finally makes a subtle entry into Ishita's mind...in the form of a receipt from Kakkad Jewellers.
Note:
- why was Ishita averse to the gown?...She had worn western gowns before to match the theme so didn't fully understand the logic behind it.
