ishq toh humne bhi kiya unhone bhi

matlab ko humne bhi samjha unhone bhi

gehrayi maano samandar jaisi

din dhalte gaye raatein kat ti gayi

zindagi behti gayi

phir kuch aisa hua ki zindagi ruk si gayi, saasein tham si gayi

hum sochte hi rahe shayad hum hi the jo gehrayion ko samajh paaye baki toh lehron ki bhaanti behte chale gaye...

------------- DAYDREAMERS -----------

The above verse is penned by Daydreamers .. & she was kind enuf to let me use them as a precursor to my post ...

This ones for u daydreamer ... thank u

The words really caught me when I first read them .. it was actually at a time when I was writing my post ... & the accuracy with which these words resonated the curx of my post was simply breathtaking .. THANK U so much for letting me use this as a lead in to my post ...

Disclaimer this ones gonna a b a long one ...

She had shouted at him in the middle of the road ... U DON'T CARE ... I have borne every one of ur INSULTS ... but this INSULT .. that of CULPABILTY this I will not bear .. I will not give a character Certificate ...

He stood there dumb .. not a word coming out of his mouth in his defense .. cause he knew she was right .. what was care if it was not FELT

Amidst a huge drama unfolding in their house .. they stand together .. but apart ... they are of similar mind .. but they stand apart .. he stands up to his mother for her beliefs .. but they were still apart ... & then came the day when lovers celebrated being together ... Lovers celebrated FOREVER ...

Karwa Chauth ... she was planning to fast & he let loose .. she would not fast .. he knew he would not be able to live with himself if something happened to her because of him ... He makes sure that she would not fast.. by bringing SIRF RUHI KE LIYE in the middle .. Ruhi .. the conduit to JOIN .. the bond that JOINS ... The soul of these 2 mates ...

Tera Mera Pyaar Amar

Phir kyun mujhko lagta hai dar

Mere jeevan Saathi bata

Kyun dil dhadke reh reh kar ...

When I saw this scene .. him looking at her thru the mirror my first reaction was pure technical ... I hated it .. simply coz mirror distorts an image & Raman ogling & being completely mesmerized by his wife was something I wanted to see first hand .. then as my knee jerk reaction cooled down .. I understood the message of the shot & was once again bowled over .. shockingly by the director who interpreted the written word so well ..

He looks at her dressing in front of the mirror .. a beautiful bright red Punjabi suit clad Fantasy of his ... just a couple of weeks back .. in a similar puja & vrat he had asked her .. ur no more a SOUTH INDIAN .. ur a PUNJABI .. dress like one ... & tonite his fantasy came to life ...

Pause & think about this .. the deep messaging ... he is looking at her thru the mirror his image is distorted .. what he sees is the BEAUTIFUL woman .. & Passion comes to fore ... Passion normally clouds vision ... & hence while he acknowledges her beauty .. what he did not catch was her MESSAGE ...

There stood in front of him ... ISHITA RAMAN BHALLA .. the PUNJABAN .. not the MADRASAN ... she had accepted him TOTALLY ... the words which come to mind were .. sajna hai mujhe sajna ke liye ...

She had made Vrahlaxmi Vrat into a Punjabi karwa chauth she had joined the two festivals ...that day while she did the vrat in the Punjabi style .. she maintained the look of a madrasan .. a lovely way to indicate she had accepted a part of their life .. she was his WIFE .. but she had yet to give herself to him ... in hindi its called .. pati ke rang mein dhalna ... but today she was ONLY PUNJABAN .. she was Mrs. Raman Kumar Bhalla .. no trace of Ishita Iyer ... to mar his CLAIM .. today she said very clearly .. DHAL GAYI RANG MEIN TERE ...

(now for a moment equate this thot with the new promo ;) hold the thot will explain when time comes)

But a mirror only ever gives a distorted image & hence he was unable to look at what she was really communicating thru that beautiful RED PUNJABI SUIT ...

He tells her ... beware a raging bull does not come after u ... whoa .. did he just call himself a raging bull ...raging bull = passion ... The passion was firmly ignited .. he was ready to embrace his passion ... he was ready to be one in that moment ..

He had fasted for her ... a sign of his complete devotion & love ... but love today was expressing itself in PASSION .. hence the colour of the day was RED .. the colour which denotes Passion ...

( here I would like to make a comment to the Production team as well .. what a delivery .. a RED SUIT which had no dilution of colour Just red .. from top to bottom ... clearly making a statement .. tonite it was about UN RESTRAINED PASSION) ...

She stood up .. turned & looked at him .. .both lost in the moment .. his passion was clearly to be seen ... her heart beat a very naughty tattoo ... it galloped forward ... when he uttered the words .. "ur looking good" she simply smiles at him .. shy . looks down .. does not have a single retort to it .. & goes away ... the heart wanting to believe .. the heart singing a song ... but a slight pause ... was this for real ...

Now this is only one fourth of the real meaning of this scene .. heres a hint .. this scene describes the way this mohabbat will move forward .. would ask one of u brilliant writers on the thread to decode this .. believe u me the moment u get this deeper meaning of this scene .. u will love the director even more ..

Oh well because I love u guys .. heres the thot ... a mirror is a look into the past its used by makers to show how u look into urself or ur past ... now see the placement of the scene .. Raman faces the mirror .. he sees Ishita's image in the mirror .. denoting he is facing the past .. While Ishita turns around & faces Raman .. that's her first glimpse of him .. she is not looking at him thru the past .. she has turned her head away from the past ...

When u equate the scene with this lens .. what looked like a perfectly normal shot .. of a husband deeply clutched in the passion of the moment ... was so much more .. it was a simple precursor to the track that would soon unfold ...

Why mention this here .. well often enuf we bash the technical team .. but when they deliver we hardly have a word of praise ..

Guys take a bow .. nothing cud've shown the future track & the upcoming problem in a better way than this .. Recall the moment when Shagun had come to the Bhalla house ..at that time I had written a similar thing about the use of mirror in VYas ( mancityfan's) thread ...

Hai Shabaab Par Umang, Har Khushi Jawan Hai

Meri Donon Baahon Men, Jaise Aasmaan Hai

Chalti Hun Main Taaron Par

Phir Kyun Mujh Ko Lagata Hai Dar

The colours of his name .. joined with hers .. adorned her hands .. the colour a dark intense red ... mehendi surely RANG LAYI thi ..

When does mehendi bring colour ... Myth says when ur husband loves u .. but reality is .. its directly proportional to the heat u generate ...

Tonite the one thing which was assured was that MEHENDI would be DARK .. she had her husbands love .. but the REDHOT passion he had unleashed earlier had also guaranteed that the colour would be deep dark red ...

which reflected beautifully on her face in the most becoming BLUSH ..

She sat staring at the colours of the mehendi in her hands .. the heart which surrounded their names ... a becoming flush a reflection of the red on her hands came onto her face .. she was being teased mercilessly ...

She caresses their names ... blissful & poignant .. the heart wanting to desperately believe ... he was HERS ... the rub .. the caress .. once before she had caressed his name ... it was the day he had claimed her openly as his wife ... the day he put up her name on the nameplate on the door .. that day it was being the owner of the name .. MRS . RAMAN BHALLA ... but today the caress was the R encircled in a little circlet of the heart ... today it was a caress which put its first claim to his HEART ... She was ready to claim his heart today ... but a pause a poignant reflection entered her thot

What was in the heart .. found it very difficult to come out from the mouth .. she was literally carrying her heart on the palm of her hands that day .. but there was also the fear of the unknown .. would her love be returned ?

Tera mera pyaar amar ... Phir kyun mujhko lagta hai dar ...

Raman comes back home .. & then takes stock from his little guard .. he is reported to that his wishes have been adhered to the letter .. she had not fasted .. she had not endangered herself because of him ..

But the red flag which she wore ... could not keep him away ... even if there would be a strike .. he would have her in his arms ...

A note to the writer & maker .. to me every feeding scene in YHm has been unique .. its been miniscule but has packed a bag full of romance & a very passionate message .. my fav moment of YHM is also the feeding scene .. when she breaks her hands & he feeds her the apple .. have dedicated an entire post to that moment .. so thank u both writer & maker for this gem as well ...

He held her to him .. this time right in the middle of his family .. who were watching them ... he made it about feeding her .. a playful look to his face & a playful lunge later she was in his arms ... but it is difficult to romance ur REDHOT biwi when ur 6 year old daughter is looking on ..

So he clutches her to himself ... but looks at his mother .. saying why don't u FORCE HER TO EAT ... whoa he is standing there holding her & has food in his hands .. but is asking his mom about it ... Well .. he had just got a pat on the back for Strategy ... & this strategy of Raman always wins .. he always made it about how he was forced to feed her.. but it was an excuse to be close & indulge in this ONE INTIMATE ACT WITH HIS WIFE .. on the day .. when PASSIONS were ruling high in his blood stream ... he feeds her the pakora ... yes he touched those beautiful lips .. had her in the circle of his arms ... & just as he finished feeding her the pakora .. he looks at her .. with a small nod .. message sent ...

Yea he had indulged one of the senses ... its said .. feeding ur partner is a beautiful foreplay .. a legitimate foreplay ... & today the Bhalla's indulged the foreplay once again ... This is their way of expressing intimacy & it started on the first day of their marriage

Kya Kaha Hai Chaand Ne, Jisako Sunake Chaandani

Har Lahar Pe Jhum Ke,

Kyon Ye Naachane Lagi

Chaahat Ka Hai Harasu Asar,

Phir Kyun Mujh Ko Lagata Hai Dar

He is standing looking for the CHAND ... he is hungry .. but his thots are on his wife .. each word which comes out is about his WIFE .. he thanks the lord that she did not fast .. else it would've cost her health .. he sits with his friends & says .. it's a commendable how women can indulge in this ritual ..

Mr. Raman Bhalla had it very bad that day ... each & every thot was about biwi ... he blushed .. he flushed .. he was teased mercilessly ... but in the end the words PERFECT PATI did him in .. he acknowledged he was doing a fast & that to for his wife .. did he use words .. no words were not needed that day .. the message to the 2 men sitting in front of him was clear ... RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA was DEEPLY .. IRREVOCABLY ... COMPLETELY in love with his RED HOT PUNJABAN patni .. ISHITA BHALLA ...

And only a pati who loves his wife completely , irrevocably , deeply .. can ever be a PERFECT PATI ... yea all a woman wants in a perfect pati is .. for him to love her ... that's what Ishita meant that day on the phone when she spoke to Bala & today .. Raman Bhalla showed himself as the PERFECT PATI ...

The blush .. the flush .. the anticipation fairly poured out of him .. he was so ready for the festivities to end ... he was so ready to be the knight in shining armor .. the one who stood in front of his wife .. he was so ready to be THE MAN for his wife ... He was ready to be her HERO today ...

He had finally delivered on every accusation she delivered in the middle of the road .. he cared .. he could commend .. he could well love ...

But passion had clouded the vision ...he pushed one out of his conscience ... I am not going to give u a character certificate ...

She is standing in her parents house ... with her two sisters ... the elder one comments on her husbands dedication towards her & her well being .. she says what LOVE ...

The younger one makes it known to her .. that he had observed the fast for her .. her health meant the world to him .. his devotion was complete ..

This gives her pause ... once again the heart which was desperate for LOVE ... flowered with renewed hope ... COULD SHE HAVE MELTED her RAAVAN KUMAR .. could the red hot passion In his gaze be LOVE blazing ... COULD she be so lucky as to have the love of the man she LOVED ... could she be so lucky as to have the DEVOTION of the man she was DEVOTED to ...

The heart beat a naughty tattoo .. wanting to desperately believe what was told to her ... desperately wanting some sort of validation ...

Tera mera pyaar amar ... phir kyun mujhko lagta hai dar ...

Kah Raha Hai Mera Dil, Ab Ye Raat Na Dhale

Khushiyon Ka Ye Silasila, Aise Hi Chala Chale

Tujhako Dekhun, Dekhun Jidhar,

Phir Kyun Mujh Ko Lagata Hai Dar

They stood in front of each other .. lost in the moment lost in each other .. his eyes caressed each part of her .. each part that was his ... he couldn't take his eyes away .. SONALI KOTNIS came to life once again .. she was his very own fantasy come to life ..

She stood with tears glistening in her eyes ... each drop which glistened her eye was a testament to her love .. an acknowledgement of his love ... She stood facing her HERO .. her own Knight in White ... her heart in her eyes

She starts to thank him ... thank him for his gesture only to be cut by him .. saying the moon is out .. he does not let her say the words ... he does not want her to say the words ... tonite was about passion for him ... his lady in red .. was really dancing in his sight .. tonight he was in no mood to talk .. he was in a mood to feel .. to make her feel .. to show ... tonite while one veil was lifted .. another was firmly pulled down ...

They parted for a moment ... but that moment created a distance of an abyss a distance which would take a lot to traverse .. a distance which was wrought with FIRE .. & a distance which to travel they will have to let go of their EGOS & their INSECURITIES ...

At that moment .. the heart which was dancing a tatooo ... BROKE .. the anticipation which had risen to FEVERISH levels got a douse of cold water .. all his dreams .. all his fantasies lay in a dark puddle of lies & deceit .. she had lied ... she was not talking to a patient but to MANI ...

The Heart which had just learnt to BEAT ... found a premature DEATH ...

Tera mera pyaar amar ... phir kyun mujhko lagta hai dar ...

The final rituals of karwa chauth were underway .. festivities strung from every corner of that vast terrace .. A glowing Ishita went about getting ready to complete the puja & open her husbands fast .. her smile one of pride .. her smile one of love .. her smile one of contentment .. she was in love .. & she wanted the world to know it ..

She did the rituals with utmost sincerity .. a promise to herself even if she had not fasted .. she would uphold the promise of the VRAT .. she would protect her husband against all odds ..

She puts adorns his forehead with vermillion .. she showers flower petals on him .. she does his aarti .. almost like she was preparing him for battle ... unbeknownst to her .. she was preparing him for the BIGGEST BATTLE OF HIS LIFE ... he had one of the toughest battles of his life coming up .. the battle to HOLD HER ...

Just as he is about to offer her water .. she stops him .. & says its m turn to offer u water .. this time it is you who have done this for me ... she offers him the sip of water .. but he refuses to take the piece of sweet from her ..

Flashback ... it was another vrat ... similar to the one being undertaken now .. she had fasted for him that day ... & he had given up his career for her that day .. his President ship which was something very very dear to him .. he sacrificed in a moment for her ...

Tonite he fasted for her ... her well being ... & today she was putting up in danger something which was MOST DEAR TO HER ... her INTEGRITY ... she had told him a countless times .. she did not LIE .. tonite to save him .. SHE LIED ..

That time she had to come in the end & gift him back his President ship ... this time lets see what Raman does to gift back Ishita's Integrity .. or will he gift it back to her ... my money is on these two figuring it out ...

Life did take a full circle for these two today .. need I say more on how this will end ... nope I guess not ...

Aasoon ka rishta aakhon se hota hai

Dil ko bhigota hai

Do alag alag dil ka ek samjhota hai

Teesre ki khatir hua hai ..

ek dusre se hai shikayatein .. phir bhi sunte hai yeh hai mohabbatein .

She Is in her room .. getting ready for bed ... but all her thots were on her man .. each & every thot dominated by the man of her dreams .. her knight in white .. she was overwhelmed by his gesture ... by his declaration of love ... cause was this not love ... ofcourse it was love .. what else would've made him do this for her ...

She vows to uphold the promise of the vrat .. when the man of her dreams walks in ...

Raman walks in ... leaving the DOOR TO THEIR ROOM WIDE OPEN ..

was there any other way for the maker to show us .. how deeply was RAMAN crushed today ... the man who just a couple of weeks back .. had decisively closed that door today left it WIDE OPEN .. the space was back .. the chasm was back ..

He sits on his desk .. when she comes up to him .. she whispers THANK u .. she talks about how his gesture had TOUCHED HER HEART ...

Just a couple of days back .. the same words brought a million watt smile on that rugged face .. today anger spread like wild fire on the face .. his face showed his anger & his eyes warred between tears & anger ... his lips scrunched together ... holding himself in ...

He refutes her claim .. he says he did not fast at all .. he tells her DON'T BUILD DREAMS ...

To me this was one of the most poignant moments of YHM till date .. the man who spent the whole morning dreaming .. within just a moment said ... DON'T BUILD DREAMS ... the heart had truly broken that moment ...

He tells her .. our relation was for RUHI ... & this was no 7 birth relation .. it was a relation which was for RUHI .. for just this birth .. next birth onwards he would figure himself out ...

A bow down to the Dialog writer of the show .. & the screenplay writer .. Ritu's take a bow girls .. what an amazing scene what an amazing dialog

What did he say ... this was the cry of the man ... this JANAM it was about RUHI .. he had settled his mind about that .. he was never going to be the MAN of her DREAMS in this BIRTH ... but next birth it would not be about RUHI .. that time it would be about HIM ...

FLASHBACK ...

Lets go back to their room when they have their talks about past .. she tells him ..she found love .. she found love & a reason to live .. & that love was RUHI ...

CUT TO ...

Tonite the heart which bled .. the heart which broke on that one innocent lie said .. this birth it is about RUHI .. this birth I was not first .. this birth I had no choice .. BUT NEXT ONE .. it will be about US ...

Could any other dialog have underlined Raman's total devastation better than this ,...could any other word .. describe a lost man better .. & could any dialog have conveyed .. how he let go with one word & HELD ON WITH ANOTHER WORD ...

Yes the final veil ... SIRF RUHI KE LIYE was for the last time USED ... this time when it is lifted .. it will never be between the couple .. TICK TOCK on the SIRF RUHI KE LIYE veil has started ...

He goes lays down on his bed .. & plunges the room in darkness ... darkness gives the blanket .. in light he would have to show .. darkness gave him a natural VEIL .. something to HIDE BEHIND ...

She stood there taking blow after blow ... this day had started with feverish aspirations for her .. the passion of his eyes .. the dark colour of the mehendi .. the circlet of heart around their names ... the teasing .. the fasting .. the way he fed her .. the way he held her .. the way he kept looking at her in the corridor .. all moments passed in front of her eyes .. each moment dropped like pearls of tears from her eyes .. it was like each moment was being washed away with the venom of his words ...

With leaden feet she walked towards the DOOR ... she shut the door firmly today ... in her heart he was MERE RAMAN .. her hand had their names entwined in a circlet of a heart .. for her .. she was In love .. she had nothing to hide but her broken heart & broken dreams ...

She stood hiding her face in the wardrobe ... crying for what she had lost ... she vows to stil help him even when he spouts venom at her .. she vows whether he wants it or not .. SHE WOULD NEVER ABANDON or LEAVE HIM ...

A note to the technical team ... the director really hit it out of the park tonite .. each & every scene was a masterpiece of interpretation of the written word .. each & every scene HIT the audience right in the heart ... The background score of aasoon ka rishta .. was so aptly placed .. it was amazing .. loved the way they show both wiping tears on dil ko bhigota hai ...

Tonite it's a firm BOW DOWN to the entire TEAM of YHM .. this was a very HAPPY DIWALI GIFT FROM THEM ...

There are a lot of pointers in this episode .. there are a lot of Ashok , Mihika & Shagun Toshi Mani Ruhi Romi Sarika in this episode ... while in the course of discussion on the thread I will visit each of this topic .. tonite I want to only dedicate this post to the POIGNANT ROMANCE OF TWO BROKEN SOULS ...

Gud nite ... catch u later ...

Wonderful post as always Ruby was awaiting this one as much as the episode since Saturday.

Special mention for that song you have used - this one has been a part of my childhood, my growing up years, a favorite of my parents I have lost count of the number of times I must have heard it but it never ever fails to enchant me. The best thing about this song is its timelessness. I have often found myself hearing it with closed eyes and in a serene moment just to soak it in ever since I began understanding it.

Moreover, it goes without saying no song could have been more apt. The song speaks of love, of longing, of hope but also fear. A young woman at the precipice of realizing her dreams is scared of finally having what her heart desired. She is scared it can all be a dream, a mirage - something that would turn to dust the moment she touches it, fade away as if it's a figment of her imagination.

The song has such serenity, such calmness, a sense of fulfillment that the young woman feels when she says Meri dono baahon mein jaise aasman hai - I have the whole world in my arms, because I have you...but her heart fears is this calm the one before the storm?

Before a storm hits any place it gets quiet, eerily so...Then it unleashes havoc, does it job and moves on, what it does is its job it has no worries of the consequences it leaves in its wake - it doesn't care if you end up bawling your heart out or do you find the rainbow that shines bright. What you get or find is all up to you and no one else.

There are those who fear the storm in this world and run away at the slightest turbulence, then there are those stubborn enough to stay put and brave it. However, there is also a third kind that deals with storms - the kind that chases it, studies it and finds it fascinating.

Depending on your position, the effect this storm can have on you - you take your stand and frankly neither of the above three kinds is wrong, everyone has their own set of beliefs and they are free to choose and follow it.

In this instance IshRa are about to hit the eye of the storm and I find myself in the third category - I am fascinated, enchanted and cannot wait to study this more, learn more. while a storm is scary is hell, it teaches you survival, it teaches you how to fight...it tests you and if you are brave enough to take it on either brave it, to not let it take you down it leaves you stronger, tougher and also it teaches you a thing or two.

This couple is about to face its toughest storm to date - one which will finally bring them together, one after which they will finally find that elusive rainbow that they had always been chasing.

The winds of this storm started blowing the day he learned her best friend is a man, a man she cannot stop praising. He gets mildly agitated, hassled at the point. He sees his wife get dressed to meet her friend for a dinner date and is peeved.

Silently he follows her, sees a decoy, and is relieved, he thinks he was panicking for no reason. He gets calm. He thinks I have no reason to fret after all.

He met another similar looking man, a man who was an uncanny mirror image of his past and ridiculed him too. He knew that guy always loses, that guy doesn't have it in him to win, to hold, to snatch away, to fight.

Then he came face to face with the real thing and the storm started brewing once again. This time it was stronger, harder and harsher.

However, he fought it, this turbulence - it affected him but would not let make him budge.

Things finally got to a point that he got defensive and as they often say, the best form of defense is offence.

He lashed out - at her when she got him a gift - a token of her love, her affection for him. he has assumed she would get him something that he might use occasionally like cufflinks, she wanted something more permanent

He realized his error soon but to rectify that he made an even bigger mistake and she accused him of being an insensitive man, someone who DOES NOT CARE FOR HER.

He remained silent, he remained in shock and failed to respond to that and she walked away thinking she hit the nail on the head and her heart broke.

Silence found its way again between them and it seemed it would last but of course in the face of bigger things they kept aside their issues - unresolved, unattended again.

Finally, amidst the tension came a day when they could celebrate - things that mattered, that were cherished and more important.

He finally showed he cared when he stopped her from fasting for him - his words rude and harsh - his intent anything but that. However knowing her as he did he spoke of Ruhi - to remind her lest she go against his wishes and remain stubborn she may hurt their little girl who was already so scared when she saw her Ishimaa once in a hospital bed.

Even as he looked out for her, he once again reminded her of Ruhi - he veiled his concern for her. He did not mention that if something happens to her he would not be able to take it as it is, so if she means him well all she has to do is take care of herself, so long as she is fine, he would be too.

She begrudgingly gave in.

Then came the day of love itself and he caught a glimpse of her in red - the color of love, of passion but mostly he caught a glimpse of her in the avatar he always desired to see her in - that of a Punjabi Bahu, that of Ishita Bhalla.

His ex had once dressed in a similar outfit in black when they were in cahoots on that day he gave her a onceover but his face was of incredulity, of repulsion.

On this day, it was of awe, wonder and so much love and passion for his wife - all of which she remained blissfully unaware off since she never caught him in the act.

He adored her reflection, his dream but the moment she turned around and faced him - he once again schooled his features and reigned himself in.

However, he spoke of her watching out, he said do not step out you may be attacked by a bull. But does a bull merely attack on seeing red, no it doesn't - it does only when its provoked again and again - to him she was provocative, tempting and he didn't want that the object of his desire should be admired by anyone else, but more than that he spoke of his tightly coiled passion, spoke how he is being provoked and has so far kept himself in check.

However he does something next that she didn't expect - he surprises her with a compliment, a genuine one with a wink and her heart skips a beat, she blushes...but her mind that has now assumed that he would backtrack even on this one makes her wonder would he follow this up with something mean/rude/harsh but he only smiles and she finally leaves happy in the moment of love and adoration that she shared with her husband.

Later among a circle of women, she lovingly gazes at their initials on her hand written in a heart. She wonders could this be happening for real was love really in her destiny? Was she lucky enough to find it again and with him? Was a pattern drawn on her hand with a temporary ink an indication of her destiny? Was this how it was always meant to be - their names together, two halves of a whole?

She wanted to believe that - she wanted it more than anything in this world at the moment.

He returned home, to her but still he knew they were apart but he could not help himself. Therefore, he did things as per his priority list - he ensured her well-being and asked his daughter about her. Next, he went up to her and held her hand even as he talked to his mother and finally fed her.

For those brief moments on this day he held her hand, almost embraced her and caressed her - as much as he could do and while it showed such progress from the last time that he fed her, it also showed another thing...the fact that they could only come close enough when they had covers to hide behind...in privacy there was still so much keeping them apart.

However, as is said love and cough cannot be hidden for long.

His love revealed itself too, when he was teased and as he blushed upon that in front of his comrades and in front of her as she learned his secret.

She got the answer to the question she had been looking for in that moment. She knew she hadn't misinterpreted the designs on her hands, she knew he loved her.

And with that revelation done they came face to face - their eyes spoke volumes but in essence they stayed silent...he didn't let her finish but understood she knew.

All was well, beautiful in fact perfect finally only storms come without warnings and this one finally did.

He overhead half a conversation barely and was pulled back into the same place he found himself years ago, with another woman.

All his happiness, his excitement vanished. She remained in the dark.

They came together once again and she saw him through a sieve and broke his fast but the festivities had already ended for them, only she was blissfully unaware. She thought this was another one of those moves her unpredictable husband pulled as always.

She promised to herself she wont let any harm befall him ever and he avoided her.

She thanked him, spoke how he once again touched her heart and that finally was the last straw - he raged and thundered, he spoke mean words. He uttered we are not real, do not be deluded. Said all things are a sham - those were the words he used; said to her, meant for him, his mind that refused to be calm after he found his wife hiding things from him.

He wanted her for himself and in saying Ruhi' name he brought up why it hurt him so much - why they still are separate.

A man hurt lashed out, a woman who had barely peeked out of her shell got hurt once again but decided she won't let his anger or temper change her feelings - she is too far in for that now.

On the day of VarahLakshmi - the priest spoke - the relationship, the marriage between Shiva and Shakti is that of Tyag (sacrifice) and Samarpan (Surrender/Devotion).

When he gave up his post for her that day - he sacrificed but in return won her devotion unerringly. That day she surrendered her heart to him so completely - something she admitted when she was asked for her KKHH moment - until then that had been the most thoughtful, sweetest thing he had done for her.

He had protected her and had done so silently.

They would find themselves back to a similar place when this time around she risks her image, her honor much as he did to save his...this time she would sacrifice for him.

In the end, it would result in him having to do what he had been so far unable to do completely - he would surrender. He would devote himself OPENLY. The Samarpan which would be done with Raavan Dehan post which the Silence (Maun( would be no longer in practice.

However, before that surrender - that Samarpan which would at last unite them - that would happen they would have to face this storm together.

"I have found the paradox that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love" - Mother Teresa

Its said that love hurts. Loneliness and Rejection hurt and only LOVE can heal them, ease the pain.

He had thrown the gift that she bought with love. From the heart.

He hurt her. She said he didn't care and was insensitive. He stood there defeated, unsure what to do.

All this time he had shown a thousand ways that he cared and she did say it touched her heart.

So what was the issue?

He spoke to her while she was asleep. He didn't know where he was wrong but he promised to keep trying to set things right in their life.

Just for them

He heard her speaking to his mother about fasting for him. He out rightly rejected that idea. He didn't want to see her faint and go through the pain again of losing her, seeing her suffer. He didn't want more barbs about not being a good husband

But he made up his mind to keep a fast. For her and for them.

He saw her the next morning. His bride. In the colors of a bride. He was mesmerized. Passion burnt him, consumed him

He couldn't resist telling her he noticed how desirable she was, though hidden by barbs..

That moment his eyes conveyed his love for her. She blushed, couldn't meet his eyes and smiled. Her smile conveyed her love for him

She could feel being desired by her husband..a slight hesitancy near the door, whether to cross the threshold and say it aloud or not.

They let it pass... to take it step at a time.

She got their names etched on her hand. I R. Ishita Raman. Names joined long back. Hearts joined long back, yet still there was that distance.

She kept staring and caressing his name all day, hoping he would feel her love with each look, each touch. Blushing like his bride.

He came home and the first thing he did was check whether she ate as he had instructed.

He fed her with his hands.

Two times before too he had fed her. First time due to Ruhi's insistence. Second, when she broke her wrist. The care hidden in the apple waving in his hand, feeling a little embarrassed to show it in front of his family, yet wanting to feed her.

This time he was all out showing his passion. No pretence. He caught her by the arm, with the full right as her Man, in front of the whole family and fed her with his hands.

Mihir and Bala told that he was the perfect husband, a husband who cared for his wife and pampered her. Who was sensitive about her..

He was happy that he was on the right path. The doubts that had been seeded in him were discarded. And she would understand all he did for her. He couldn't wait for the vrat to end. The maunvrat.

She came to know that he was fasting for her. Her heart swelled at the gesture. A hope rekindled. Will the maunvrat end?

She met him midway both searching the others eyes for love. His eyes took in every inch of hers, showed his passion. Her eyes showed her love in every tear drop that glistened. She wanted to thank him for putting her accusations to rest. But he didn't allow her. Thanking would spoil the intention or the lack of it behind the gesture. What he showed was his love for her because she is his wife. His soulmate. His passion and reason to live.

But the moment was short lived. A call changed it all. A call for which she lied to him. She had said she doesn't need to prove anything by giving a character certificate. She was hurt he called her a liar

But isnt that what she just did. She lied. Also why does she have to lie or hide, he questions.

Oblivious to the raging conflict in his mind, she set out to complete the rituals. She saw him through the sieve. Veiled.

Vrat to aapne rakha hai meri taraf se.

She was talking about the fast but he was in maunvrat because of her. The man who almost let out his feelings today was pushed back into silence.

He's hurt. His love is hurting him as he feels lonely and rejected again. All the same emotions he had once survived through.

Her love was healing him, but she hurt him again.

He took only water from her hand. He didn't let him feed her. Because he was not satiated by love. He was broken

She came to thank him. He became restless. Then she said the words - touched my heart. He lost all control. The nerd was pushed deep down.

His alter ego came to the fore, a personality which refused to believe love and affection. Trust and ownership.

He refused to look at the light as it was hurting him. He preferred the darkness. Where no one, not even himself, could see his fears and dejection. His loneliness. He found it better than getting hurt.

He was hurt that she lied to him, but it hurt him even more to pretend that he didn't care. Every word that he said showed how deeply she hurt him, shattered his dreams.

He stepped back wanting to live in the zone of Sirf Ruhi ke liye. That way atleast his heart knew she will be around. He refused to see her love for him but he cannot be blind to the love she has for their daughter. She wouldn't abandon their daughter. He hung to that thread again. Ruhi. The Nerd might let her go but the Alpha male will hold on to her, fight for her. Do everything to keep her with him

She too took refuge in the darkness, not knowing what changed and why. She only knew that whatever Janam they took she will be with him, for him and by him. Forever. Now she will have to show it to him.

In her quest to keep his position secure, the family together, she became obtuse to his feelings. His needs- HER. That's what he had asked her that day. Cant you pay some attention to your HUSBAND..

She told he was insensitive and didn't care. This time she was insensitive.

Its her turn to fix things and break his vrat

The day which with started with love, ended with hurt.

The day started with tears of joy and love ended with pain

The day which started with two people as bride and groom ended as just two people who came together as parents.

The only thing unchanged was the color red. But the meaning changed. From passion to heart bleed.

If only for a moment, they could swap their pain with each other, they would understand how hurt they are because of the other's actions.

*****************

This to me is the same scenario as the accident track. Only Raman and Ishita's positions are swapped.

Last time she suspected that he was still in love with Shagun and he did not refute it.

Going by the discussion in the LU(I haven't seen the promo or BTS), Raman is going to assume that she is in love with Mani. And when he says that will she outrightly refute it or play along till she gets him the position back from Ashok.

Main aapka vrat kholungi apne haathon se. Will she break his and her maunvrat when he breaksdown?

Again, Shagun might take advantage of the situation a la the accident track

*****************

I have a little complaint though ( ok.. the pinch of salt, I understand) but if one knows what hurt him/her, wouldn't he/she do everything possible not create the same situation for the person whom you love so much. Won't you protect them from getting hurt in a similar situation as you understand how the pain rips your soul.

We need to see how this plays out. I hope he doesn't get misled further. I know the end will be a happy one but find it a bit difficult to digest the same thing recurring. Hope they change it a bit.

Ruby,

Just loved, loved, loved your post! I love it so much it hurts! The way you describe, interpret a romantic scene, is simply superb. No words to describe it.

If my heart did not flutter when I watch the scene in QN, I will surely flutter 100 times when I read your take on the scene. They just leave a never fading impression. For eg, The scene that etched in mind among others is also the "ishitha lovingly caressing IR" .This scene, the mehandi scene and the touch you gave to it, instantly brought back memories of another mehandi scene. Visions of two lovers, she complaining you donot love me, bcze my mehindi did not bring color and he, sets out on a mission to turn it dark. Body temperature aka passion, makes mehandi dark" That scene is still etched in my mind. Even after 2 yrs .. Such griping is your writing. A heartfelt shukirya.

You have covered the KC scenes so beautifully, so thoroughly, whatever I say will end up sounding like a repetition.

Still, I want to share my thots on couple of scenes that touched me deeply today.

1) Chaand Nikhal Aaya, Chaand Nikhal Aaya, Chaand Nikhal Aaya

The moon is RISEN

You know, whenever I am upset, whenever I am confused, whenever I feel lonely, whenever I feel hopeless, looking at a Moon has helped me.

Especially a beautiful full moon. The beauty of the moon, just leaves me awe stricken. It just calms me down instantly. Fills me with hope and light. Brings a sense of balance and clarity. At that moment I am content. I am full.

Today when, Raman looked at Ishitha, And said chand nikhal Aaya, It was for me the most perfect phrase to use. Yes Moon is risen. I felt Raman was so happy and content at that moment. His voice was full of love. An unexplainable joy. There was no sarcasm, no barbs, no roughness..

His words, I told you three times already, the moon is RiSEN, let move on, complete the remaining of the rituals, mother is waiting patiently in hunger..

Haiyeee, so full of passion. Was he talking about rituals of KC? Was he talking about his mothers hunger for food? From the follow up scene, we come to know ladies are still waiting for the moon to rise.

So what was Raman talking about? Was it a blooper? IMO, no not at all..

My romantic heart tells me,

Raman was talking about, him, his love and how he was anxious to move forward, to finish the ritual of the marriage, that stopped at tying the mangulsutra.

He was talking about his mothers hunger to see his son living a full life. A happy life with his wife and kid.

Ishitha and Raman were in a happy place. She was basking in her realisation that her man loves her and he so ready to show her his love.

I wished that the screen will just freeze at that moment. Let them enjoy the moment to the full. It was a kodak moment. So serene so beautiful

The moon is Risen.

2) Things are moving beyond the boundaries.

One day on a rainy night, heading home together, in a rickshaw, he asked her, was it someone important you were talking to? girls in a similar situation generally do not tell the truth. Why did you? The answer was, Contrary to your belief I donot lie.

That day, the important man in question was her fiance. She chose to tell him that she was traveling alone with a paraya mard, in the middle of night , on a rainy day. She knew her fiance could question her integrity, but still chose to give out the info and stick to the truth. That was the day Raman started to trust Ishitha.

Today, what he saw was his wife hiding some information, and telling him a story to covering up. The thought that she lied to him about a trivial matter like a phone call from Mani-a friend shattered his core belief. He was devastated. He was scared of history repeating again. Shadow from the past was clouding his moon. He just couldn't believe the evidence that she lied to him. Why would she lie to me about talking to a friend? Are things moving beyond boundaries of friendship? What is she hiding? Is the past repeating itself? The man who just few minutes ago was so eager to finally open up to his wife, saw himself dragged back to the start of the line. Hopeless, fearing the REJECTION.

3) next 6 janam, I will handle me all alone.

To pen the beauty of this scene, is merely impossible for me. I have tried to string my thots but all in vain. The more I watch the scene, the more it talks to me. Each time new message. Each time a new connection.. I am like a child who wants to talk non stop but knows only few words to say.

Then I read Ruby's post, and I was relieved, I donot have to say anything she has spoken my mind. The words that were jumbled up in my mind was penned down beautifully. Par just one thot, one dialogue

Raman's dialogue, this lifetime you are in my life for Ruhi , next 6 janam I will handle it by myself..

I remember, the scene where Shagun told Raman, I am leaving Ruhi with you. Its only fair as You r the one who wanted a second one, not me. And the scene where Raman tells his mother, by the time Ruhi came to my life, there was no love left. Only darkness. With this thot running in my mind, what I heard Raman saying was, even if I donot count, even if My love does not mean anything, remember your love for Ruhi, the reason you are in this marriage. Donot leave me

To me it was a shout out to his past. He was reliving the moments where the love was fading away from his life and he was trying to hold on to it, using Ruhi as a crutch.. Past and present somehow merged in that moment.. Beautiful writing...

I would like to end my post with reference to couple of scene from the Accident track.

The beautiful collages are by our own Gandhari. She is such a sweetheart, even in her busy work schedule she found time to custom edit these collages for me. Thanks much Ganz🤗

That day Ishitha told Raman, what hurts is the fact that you did not share the truth with me. And I doubted you. I misunderstood you.

If only she remember how she felt that day, she would not be hiding information from Raman. Maana ke, she has only his interest in mind, but then that day he also had reasons to hide.

That day Ishitha was devastated at the possibility of her husband still harboring feelings for his ex wife. She feared rejection. .Her trust in him was tested. But the track ended with Raman asking Ishitha to be her strength. Today Raman is at the same spot. Wonder in what positive note this track will end?

Rubyy... 😛here I am .. another post in 2 days... its strictly random ramblings and without realising a looong one.. hope I make some sense by the end of this!😛😉

Your post if just perfect and romantic...!!😳 I would never be able to interpret the way you do and love to read your posts for this! 🤗

Karwa Chauth... 😳 When he forbid her from fasting, I totally loved it that he did it with complete authority and did it himself, he didn't need a veil to hide behind to stop her from fasting.. he told her upfront and made sure she wouldn't play smart by asking Ruhi to take care! 😛(Must say here Toshiji convincing Ishita not to fast is the only progressive thing she has done in a while!)

The morning scene when Ishita is getting ready... your one line sums this up beautifully "Dhal gayi rang mein tere 😳"... The subsequent scenes when she gets the mehendi done and looks at it fondly... the mehendi had IR.. Ishita Raman...no Ruhi.. it was about them...! The smile that adorned her lips throughout the scene and how she responded to all the teasing around her .. it made me believe she may fear if her feelings would be returned, but it was clearly a girl who was in love...!

The next scene...Raman walks in .. the first thing he does is pick his angel up and what does he ask.. about her Ishima...he has done this before... during the license fiasco there is a scene where he walks into the house and without even looking up from the phone he calls Ishita... everytime he does it I find it very cute and just emphasizes how much they have travelled in their relationship.. Then the scene where he forcefully feeds her the pakoras... and what made the scene more beautiful for me was it was done despite everyone present in the room...😛

"He is standing looking for the CHAND ... he is hungry .. but his thoughts are on his wife .. each word which comes out is about his WIFE .. he thanks the lord that she did not fast .. else it would've cost her health .. he sits with his friends & says .. it's a commendable how women can indulge in this ritual .. " - This is put so perfectly 👏.. he has fasted.. but his thoughts are just on his wife..!

In the scene with the guy gang.. he doesnt hide behind his anger or denial when they tease him.. he is basking in the glory of being labeled a perfect pati... in the house across the hall Ishita on hearing her husband has fasted for her wonders if he loves her... 😳😳

When they come face to face.. this was one of the most beautiful scenes for me.. 😛 where they were genuinely smiling at each other and I wished this scene had culminated with her breaking the fast before the dreaded phone call came... /faceplam!

From here though the episode was heart-wrenching, a lot of what they showed made no sense to me. I understand the drama is needed, considering the audience they are catering to , etc. But simple kostin, how would the drama have been affected if they had completed the KC rituals and then she had answered the dreaded phone call. In the morning when Mani had told her he wants to speak to her alone, she was completely lost in her husband that she cut the phone.. (either she sensed he was not happy that she was on the phone or she was too lost that she didnt listen to Mani.. whatever the reason)... cut to the evening, she has just found out her husband was fasting for her and that the moon is out.. at this time would she go away from her husband and answer the call from Mani who she knows her husband is not fond of..? Raman has never forbidden her from speaking to Mani though he has not been pleased about it.. then why go and answer in private... she could have just told him she would call back ... if Raman had overheard her later...we would have still go the drama but atleast the KC moment for the couple would not have been ruined...

This serial has imperfect characters... thats what I love about this serial...but over the past episodes one character which has been consistently butchered according to me is Ishita... I don't know what they are trying to potray her as.. mahaan atma for the TRP viewing audience or very naive.. but to me she is coming across plain stupid... The character sketch I feel is not consistent.. I agree Raman when it comes to her has always blown hot and cold and this is difficult for anyone to handle. He has said I love you twice and immediately brushed it off as something inconsequential.. any care he has expressed has been hidden behind the veil - "Sirf Ruhi ke liye".. something both of them are guilty of... Considering this if they had shown Ishita immune to Raman's advances (if i may call it so) I can still understand.. first she concludes raman still loves bechari Shagun (I dont even know where this came from, anyways... ).. then the bechari Sanjana fiasco happens, then she wonders if her Ravan is jealous if its even possible... then she concludes her Ravan is jealous and tells Mani let it be she enjoys it...and in her monologue she also wonders if she is in love...after the prank gone all wrong she spells it out to him that I CARE...and then today's scenes..

With so much happening in her head.. and also the fact that Raman is not comfortable with Mani.. she still choses to tell Mani Sambar recipe over the phone right in the middle of a busy working day morning routine.. really? and that guy calls the second time after she cut the call the first time.. This was just plain ridiculous. Disclaimer - I have no problem with Mani, I understand he is being used to heal Raman from his past.. I have no problems with him depending on ishita for things as he is new to the place or them hugging as friends... all this is okay... but in the quest to show him as a totally positive and perfect character.. he is screwing up too many things.. ( and the perfect guy doesnt know how to make sambar.. wow) A couple of other dialogues about how he is the hero etc after the carpet fiasco.. It just makes it weird to say the least... there are so many ways like Bhanu said to set up this misunderstanding ... I am not completely surprised that Ishita has not yet guessed what is bothering her husband so much but... Before her phone call he was smiling and on the terrace he is pissed off and then the showdown in the bedroom... she didnt reflect on what could have gone wrong? Her jagga jasoosi doesnt come in handy here.. sigh! I can get where this track is heading to.. so not very concerned about that.. but the way it has been set up has left a lot to be desired.

I know lot of people in this serial need redemption.. one among them is surely Ishita... I totally don't want Raman alone feeling guilty at the end of this whole fiasco...he has a lot to redeem for what he has done in the past.. but that doesnt mean Ishita is allowed to go free..!

I love reading your posts Ruby.. plz keep writing!😛😃 and I will get better at connecting dots aapke chatru chaaya main 😃😉

Fabulous Ruby... Karwachauth wasn't this beautiful for me till I read this post of yours. I don't know if I can catch the actual interpretation of that mirror scene. So, lemme go with the flow.

Let us discuss their past here. I want to look back...not to see those pages which was written 6 years back but to see the history which has been re-written...in these two days as well as the tensions between Ishra... She said that he doesn't care for her, she said that she cares for him, she refused to lend her ears for any other explanation... He wanted to bring things back on track... The next day, they got carried away... Once again by the whirlwind...This time, it was named Romi... He had to take a stand against her to meet at the same destination point again... What did they share in these two days but for an angry eyelock... So, did Raman get a chance to correct his mistake? No... But, did he correct his mistake? Yes... He did. That was where that KC scene jumped inside. She accused him of being insensitive towards her and her emotions...Today, he proved her wrong. There she was, all decked up, for him. As Ruby pointed that out, "Sajna hai sajna ke liye"... And what did he do... Acknowledged the same... He allowed himself to get lost...not once but twice... Yes, he allowed himself. Ishita has always been beautiful... This was where things became normal... Ishita forgave her Raavan Kumar. But that word Shaq', it was there. It was there because it is there in Raman's mind... But, what did Ishita do is not the question here... It is time to ponder upon what did Shagun do? To understand Raman's perspective, we must put ourselves into Raman's shoes... This means that we are going to remain oblivious to Ishita's stand. Hurt soul and its thought process is going to get its limelight here. This means that questions like valuing friendship, fidelity is not going to make its way inside. Let us start it here...

She left this man for Ashok Khanna... It is all that that been said till date. But, cv's have given few flashbacks where naive Raman unknowingly let himself into this trap by letting Shagun move with this person, Ashok Khanna. So, it all began with an innocent friendship... This woman, Raman's first love, Shagun gave more importance to Ashok than her husband, Raman. Who's this Raman? He is the same man who was ready to bring heaven onto earth...for her. When did Raman get his first hint? We don't know... Going by those flashbacks, we saw that Raman felt insecure and inferior when Ashok managed to apply colours on her cheek while he was forbidden. Ashok did something that Raman couldn't do. Then, we saw that Ashok lured Adi... with his expensive gifts and foreign chocolates while Raman was struggling to get his ward admitted to a big school. Ward...the child under his protection and care. But, what was Ashok's motive behind the same? Shagun... He wanted to win over this woman by using Adi. Adi, Shagun's first child, her weakness... Then, that fateful night, when Raman lost his first love... He pleaded before her but she berated him and his love... She asked him if love can offer her those comforts which she's yearning for. Raman didn't have an answer... She threw those divorce papers on his face and moved out of his life...forever...

So, is this called completing a full circle? Same friendship, Mani scoring points over Raman by gaining more importance, Mani managed to break Ishita's fast when Raman failed to do the same... This time, its Ruhi...Ishita's first child, his ward. And now what's not present in this round. Nerdy Raman... This Raman doesn't know to value this relationship leave aside paying heed to her needs. Now, last stage... Shagun wanted a luxurious life rather than love and Raman couldn't offer her the same. Now, Raman can offer a luxurious life but he doesn't want to give her the love required... But, what does Ishita want now? Again, he's not able to satisfy this woman...

So, isn't this track needed? Yes, he's crying again...for Ishita and hiding those tears by letting his pillow absorb them... But, this is the need of the hour. When this track ends, he's not going to be alone... in that bed as well as his life...

Thanks for this post Ruby...I don't know if I managed to give an answer to this post but when it comes to your post, things never go the planned way.

PS: I wrote this before watching today's epi...😆

Awesome brilliant wonderful amazing mindblowing post Ruby.. I truly am at a complete loss of words that could do any remote justice to your very apt, well thought out and liltingly written thoughts..😳

I apologise for the delay as I have been crazily tied up and have just about managed to watch the episode.. And I see so many pages of comments to your post already that I doubt if I can add anything that hasn't been said before.. I am yet to find time to read through any of them but im sure it will all be wonderful..👏😳

I'm trying to touch on something related here! Bear with me and apologies if it doesn't fit in well!

Love... is just such an important thing in all our lives! But is there something called unconditional love at all? Atleast I don't think there is.. Love doesn't come alone! It always comes with its own baggage - of insecurities, possessiveness, fear, passion and probably most importantly - trust! You can trust people without loving them - like u would trust ur colleagues, teachers, etc but you can never love anyone without trusting them (friends, parents, partners)

"To be trusted is a greater compliment than being loved."

Now, this quote has me both confused and wondering! Is it easier to trust or love? I have always found it very difficult to answer the question.. Sometimes we do end up trusting ppl around us on a day to day basis but blindly trust we don't as we shouldn't too!! But love - we don't love everyone we meet.. It takes its time.. But most importantly love almost always happens only after trust! We first meet someone, get to know and understand them, place out trust in them and then we gradually fall in love (yeah im sorry I don't believe in love at first sight).

Here too, isn't that's what been happening? They met, and met again. And they misunderstood each other. Until one day trust happened. Yes, Ishita told Raman she doesn't lie when he asked her why she told the truth about being out with a man to her fianc - but did Raman believe her then - believe her enough to fall in love? NO! Trust he did (over the next few days) - but the trust was that she would be a good mother to his daughter! And that was the trust that mattered to him then! And for a fair number of days later as well...

"Everyone suffers at least one bad betrayal in their lifetime. It's what unites us. The trick is not to let it destroy your trust in others when that happens. Don't let them take that from you."

This quote sits so well with our leads! Yes, I say both of them here! I agree Raman has had a betrayal so harsh that it destroyed him from within - so much that he reinvented himself to become someone who couldn't be teased or taken for granted, leave alone betrayed.. And Ishita had a betrayal so harsh yet she chose to reinvent herself to become someone who would not let her past affect her present.. But both Raman and Ishita did carry forward one baggage of their past. While he feared trust, she feared rejection! While he feared trusting anyone, she feared trusting anyone too - lest she gets rejected! And why would I say that? Cos what else can explain the simple fact that they don't trust each other with their convictons/ideas/etc on issues not related to them? I know we have named it communication gap and that the day they talk they will be fine.. But my question is what stops them from talking? Do they not even trust each other to come up with what's right for a situation?

Raman doesn't trust Ishita to tell her he doubts Ruhi being his daughter (that incident by itself is a great example of how scared of trust he is)

Ishita doesn't trust Raman to tell him about his own sister's problem! I mean I would have thought someone as smart as Ishita would have told Raman about Simmi's problems and asked him to not bring in his parents but help! (yeah I get the drama build up part but still)

Raman cant trust his wife to tell her about the whole Mihir-Mihika engagement plan (I know he wanted Mihir to speak up, tease ishita etc but really, I felt it was too big an issue and it involved too many people's emotions for him to work alone)

Ishita can't trust Raman to tell him she's being hounded by Parmeet! (Seriously?? What was that about? - I mean I could understand when she was only having doubts but after he explicitly tried to take advantage of her and after she trusted her mother-in-law with it, why delay telling Raman only? No please don't tell me cos Toshi asked her not to!!)

Raman cant trust Ishita to take the right decision in Adi and accident case (Yes he keeps telling Shagun Ishita would understand but seriously if he also trusted Ishita as much as he claimed he did he would have told her that he had promised shagun he won't say but he believed her to make the right decision)

Ishita can't trust Raman after seeing a message on his phone from Shagun (It was her fear of the past plus the insecurity creeping in - they had become friends now and friends trust don't they?)

Raman cant trust Ishita to not have stolen a picture! (Yeah - no one else can suspect you and I would guard you If they did but in private I don't believe u either!!)

Ishita doesn't trust Raman to tell him her license has been revoked until he finds out later and asks her - Raman doesn't trust her to tell her he sorted it out (Yeah I get that whole sacrifice wala pyaar thing but still) - Ishita in turn doesnt trust him to tell him Suraj's truth and just expose him together and sort the issue

Now it gets interesting - they have both started feeling something towards each other and obviously they are both not willing to let go off their own minuses - their veils but they aren't yet ready to openly admit it even to themselves.

So again - there are a series of events (her not trusting - she didn't tell him about her plans of getting Param home until after/she didn't trust him to make the right choice by calling him after finding Shagun in the middle of the road, about Mihir's sister, about Ashok not wanting to marry Shagun etc- I mean there are just way too many - and him not trusting - he didn't tell her before asking Sarika to leave the job, didn't trust her when she was going out all decked to meet her male friend - how many times had he followed her when she went to her clinic at night?)

Phew - im sure I have left out a few incidents but seriously! Point is they have both not trusted each other enough at various times! But through the various times, we know from Raman's past that his betrayal in love led him to lose trust in every relationship! And Ishita's betrayal in love only stopped her from trusting someone with her heart again! So now. At this juncture when both of them have started feeling strongly for the other - despite the several veils and shadows of the past - the one thing - the one BIG thing that they need to sort out is trust!

"Loving someone is giving them the power to break your heart, but trusting them not to."

THAT is Raman's biggest fear. He has done that once and unfortunately the pain of ur trust being broken is bigger than the pain of ur heart being broken. This man, who couldn't trust was repeatedly being told and made to believe that she wont lie. Even the other day she cried and told him she doesn't lie! And he had just begun trusting her! Yes he is jealous of her friend and doesn't like their closeness and has his insecurities but did he doubt her even once? NO! But now he's caught her lying! He may have been wrong to see her phone but this is the man who's wife - someone he trusted implicitly got close to another man right under his nose and he was nave to not to have noticed it until it was too late - the result of which he's been having to bear and live for 6 years! He may be wrong to see his past in every present scenario but shouldn't he be once bitten twice shy??

If we ask why Sarika wasn't being careful after almost having been in soup once already shouldn't we be saying Raman is right in being cautious? Ishu is no Shagun we agree cos we know Ishu is the lead and Shagun the vamp - but did Raman know what Shagun was back then? For him, until the day she walked out she was the one he loved with all is life.. he wouldn't have in the wildest nightmares imagined her to do what she did.. So is he not right to fear the worst and try to avoid it atleast this time?

And really shouldn't Raman have the right to know if Ashok Khanna is trying to malign him or his family? Should Ishita compromise her principles and lie to save Raman? I mean couldn't she have just told Raman that Mani called to say Ashok is instigating Sarika and still continue with her plans to help Raman with Mani? (and really is any business position more important than ur honour?

I know its all going to come down to trust! And how they sort that out to finally confess... Trust can never be partial.. You either trust someone completely or you don't! so yes.. Yes it has to be a dramatic confession... And going by the awesome intensity of scenes off late, its all building up to one helluva drama... But as of today, just seeing the last two episodes.. I still wonder if at this juncture don't they have a LOT to talk, a LOT to clear, a LOT to know and a LOT to understand before they actually confess??

I'd like to end with this quote by Maya Angelou.. For both Raman and Ishita

"Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time."

Thank you for the patience to have read this! And sorry for such a long post! And I apologise of I may have veered off track! 😊

au contraire ... it was packed with a lot of meaning .. specially the Toshi & Ruhi role ..
but tonite i wanted it to be only about the love affair in my post it was not a review of the episode so much as it was a poignant take on 2 struggling .. wires crossed lovers ...

As i wrote in the end of my post .. am willing to discuss all nuances or pointers in the thread .. so fire away
