After months-long hunt, Ssharad Malhotra has been finalised to play the grown-up prince in Bharat Ka Veer Putra " Maharana Pratap.The show, which launched in May last year, will introduce the generation leap next month. The actor, who was last seen in TV show Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, is returning to the small screen after five years.
While Ssharad didn't revert to our text message, producer Abhimanyu Singh confirms, "This has been the most difficult casting so far. Not only does the role require a certain physical appeal, but also an inherent kindness and courage, since Pratap is one of the greatest freedom fighters India has seen. Ssharad fits the bill perfectly."
