398 Episodes in 40 days

Hello Everyone,

I am Arti, another crazy lover of Iss Pyaar ko kya naam doon and lovely pair of Khushi and Arnav. Though I joined India Forums in 2006, but I hardly post anything. Because I hardly follow any series now 😊 So basically I am new for this forum for all of you but I read the posts daily.

Wanted to share...that I never watched IPKKND during it's original run. I didn't know who is Barun or Sanaya. But in March this year, I was checking some videos randomly in dailymotion and I just clicked on Love scene 336-Arshi reunion... I was like...what is this? Who is Arshi and a series of love scenes???????😲? who watch this?

But somehow I started watching this scene...it was mesmerizing 😛. and it was love at first sight with Barun 😳 but obviously I became curious to know about them...all flashbacks... and everything. I decided to watch episode one...then two..then three and whole night I was watching IPKKND. I completed my first 10 episodes in a night 😆😆

Still I wanted to finish all episodes till this scene but couldn't. I had no idea when this scene will come and I didn't want to break the interest. I finished all 398 episodes in 40 days despite my super busy schedule. In between I also checked off screen videos and news items.

I felt so bad for regular viewers due to abrupt ending of this epic love story. I can recollect When I read this news in India forums back in 2012, for me it was like any other show going off air, yet another actor leaving the show, I in-fact used to laugh on crazy fans and their emotional comments on the news confirming Barun leaving the show, but see I am doing the same now. I have never seen any such show with such brilliance of chemistry between lead actors.

I regret as I missed all fun, excitement , craze of promos, pre-caps, curiosity, SBB/SBS segments & all crazy discussion with you all 😭, what a fool I was, i remember whenever my sister used to watch this show, I would change the channel and would ask her to stop watching star plus, it has nothing new to offer. Now only I realized what I missed. I have watched all episodes and love scenes at-least 4 times by now and even today, I watch 2-3 love scenes on daily basis... 😊 Still ornignal run has it's own charm that cannot be matched with recorded one.

lovely post, welcome 🤗 omg almost 400 episodes in 40 days, wow, i think i caught up on the first 6 months of the show in about 3 weeks with no sleep and little food! 😆 u have a similar story to so many of us here and a lot of the newer fans of the show who got hooked either because of YT/DM or because of the rerun outside india 😃 yep, the show is a true classic, a gold standard in how to get it right and definitely worth watching again and again, but omg that excitement, charm and craziness of the fandom during the original run was something else biggest fandom online and definitely still the biggest fandom on IF, so of course the hysteria and fun of offscreens and spoilers was just as huge 😆 oh and Barun, me too 😳 ❤️

If u r in India u can watch Tamil IPK on Star Vijay at 12.30pm now PayAsh haldi epis r going on

IPK in Malayalam gonna start next week on Asianet plus channel Mon-Fri at 9pm

after reading ur post, even i would like to share mine. in 2011 i was not a member of IF n even i was not a regular viewer of any daily sups. some time i was watching my regional language show. i had stopped watching hindi show after Kyonki saas after gowri n hiten character over. they were my most favorite couples b4 arshi.

k one saturday i was browsing the tv channel n saw dia aur baati hum promo n was really impressed by the title song of that. d show was suppose to start on sept 2011 month, so i decided to watch that show on sept, but i forget to do so. so again on one Saturday i was browsing d channels n saw dia our epi n watch the whole week epi, by then around 15 epi were aired in SP. so in the evening by 6 PM i started searching in YT for rest of d epi, every time i search for DABH, IPKKND videos adds were popping up, which i was hating like hell, coz i was hating the man with beard (Arnav) , while on d process of searching for DABH i accidentally clicked on IPKKND love scene( i dont remember which), that time i certainly not aware of d fact that my life is going have a different turn😛, never knew that a new joy n lively life is going to accomply me to d rest of my life. d dream land which i experianced in my college days while watching Kutumb is going to be back with arshi...😃

i clicked on one love scene of IPKKND by 6:30 PM on one saturday of Oct 2011 month n i struck there for good of my life, luckily, that day my husband, inlaws n my little daughter had gone out so no body were there in home to disturb me. from evening 6:30 PM to morning 6: 30 pm i watched there love scene (dont know how many i watched). in B/W my family came home on 11 PM (sat night) my daughter had already slept. i had totally forgotten abt my dinner, till my husband ask me @ 11 PM tht what i had for dinner n i realized i missed my dinner. but luckily my hubby had brought burger so i eat n started my mission till morning 6:30 in our room with my laptop. only when my mom in la woke up n started making noise. @ d same time my hubby was astonished seeing me all awake n still in front of my laptop. he ask me if i have any critical office work.😲

then d Sunday i was suppose to attend a family function with my family. coz of short sleep (6:30AM to 8: 30 AM) with 2 hrs i could open my eyes even 2 hrs i didnt sleep properly, was only thinking abt future epi. so i had severe headache (i pretended to family) 😉 , some how i stayed @ home alone (n happy 😛) @ 10 AM i started watching the remaining epi. my hubby called me @ lunch time to esquire abt my lunch which i hardly bothered to answer n @ night i forcebally went to fast food to have some eatables, just to escape my husband taunt. again my family return by 11 PM, by that time i had finished all d love scene till date. by 11 pm my hubby started to share abt d day n previous day events, which i hardly bother to talk to him for whole 2 days. he ask me again n again if i have a huge work load😲 , here i was busy watching show like mad.😛😉😆.

finally my husband come to know that i am busy with watching a show for which he was totally speech less😲, after that i started watching IPKKND on SP, till 11 PM i was doing office work, n from 11 to 1 PM spend on arshi.

one more very interesting thing is my family, de had never c me sitting in front of TV controlling d remote when de r @ home, but for IPKKND i was d sole owner of TV n remote from 8 to 8:30 PM every week days. even more interesting is my father in law also started watching dis show, b4 this show he use to go out n come home by 8: 30 but after our IPKKND he was back home exact 7: 50 PM in front of TV with SP. till final epi me n my fa in la never missed d epi if @ all i miss was catching it up in net n he on d repeat telecast. even my husband was asking random updates on d show.

my sweet daughter even today say khushiji, arnav, hello hai bye, bye, n hai re nanda kisore.

so this is how me n my family were ( am still) attached to the best ever show IPKKND.

after this show i am not watching any of d show right now, even d regional show. am waiting for our arshi/sarun to come back n spell d magic again, till that time, i am ok with IF, YT, OS, SS, TS, FS, n FF n all d thing which is related to arshi r only my entertainment.

Hey dear, our stories are quite similar, though I preferred to watch it alone 😉 and never had privilege to watch original run 😭 . My husband till date doesn't know that I am hooked to this show. He thinks I am doing my official work 😆😆😆.

I was also a huge fan of Kutumb and Hiten Gauri... 😊 during my college days.

I too could not sleep whole night when I started watching it. I started feeling so nice about everything during my stint of watching unwatched episodes.

but I love all the episodes till their wedding, after wedding, this show started losing it's charm. May be because of uncertainty of it's future as Barun was leaving. Majority of scenes post wedding were shot on Body doubles and track was also not that good, annoying sheetal-aarav and miss India tracks.

The beauty of the show besides Sanaya-Barun chemistry was it had a gripping story line. Unlike other shows which changed their original story within 4-6 months of run, it had a pre-written concept and storyline that was narrated beautifully. They never deviated from original story of brother sister love, Arshi's love story and evil shyam. I never liked any soap star, but Barun is exceptionally hot and talented.

I don't watch any other show except Kumkum Bhagya. It is also a nice show and reminds us about IPKKND. Same misunderstanding due to sister's husband/boyfriend, forced wedding, fights and nok jok so I enjoy watching it too. U can give it a try dear.
