Or is it really all just as simple as Mala despite being a married woman with an 8 year old child to boot and for all practical purposes in a HAPPY marriage, all of a sudden decided to leave cuz she found a more handsome hottie?😆...Cuz all she said today was that she wanted to take Rudra with her when she left...she doesn't seem to feel at all that abandoning her husband was an issue...it was all love after all...also no thought at all to the fact that she would also be seperating a FATHER and SON?😕...It's not like Dilsher was abusing Rudra...and even now he seems to look back at his wife's things almost fondly.
So is there a gap in my understanding or glaring loopholes in their presentation that this is not coming through?😕
Mala understands that Rudra needs time to let her in...sure...but there doesn't seem to be any more depth to the thought process than that...she just wants to apologize for having chosen the wrong man to run away with? The fact that she ran away PERIOD is the bigger issue, in my opinion.
Lots of body doubles and lack of flow today again...but bits that stood out:
1) Rudra's expressions in the first scene when Mala is overcome with emotion at seeing her "chhota sa Rudra" all grown up...fantastic acting from Ashish...especially the switch of expression just as Mala is about to touch him and he backs away and storms out.
2) Paro telling Laila to back off and clearly demarcating her patni haqs...Nice!
3) The Dilsher-Rudra scene when Rudra tells him that Mala is back..."woh laut aayi"...the line of the epi actually😆...I liked the contrast...one minute Rudra bitterly goes, "Teri patni laut aayi, Ranawat" and the next minute when Dilsher is about to fall back onto the bed in shock, Rudra rushes to hold him, "Sambhaal ke Bapusaa"😆
4) I was thinking Rudra getting drunk would all go to waste until the very last scene when he lands up at Mala's room in the BSD place to confront her...I wish we could have gotten atleast one Rudra-Mala scene without body doubles but it doesn't seem like it's happening so far...maybe next week then.
The moment when Rudra repeats the line that has been echoing through his mind all these years, "Pata hai tujhe? Iski maa bhaag chhuti"...brilliantly done...
I guess the rest of this taandav will play out next week...Rudra telling Mala to leave them since they've finally learnt to move on in life without her.
