Sister shows, Rangrasiya and
Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon appear
to be following in each other's
footsteps. As if having television's
most prominent beauties and best
friends was not enough for the
shows, both Rangrasiya and
Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon follow
some similar plot lines. Here's a look
at some of the underlying
similarities.
a)Laila & Deepali
Both Rudra (Ashish Sharma) and RK
(Vivian Dsena) have a bewitching
past. A single woman entered their
life and vowed to ruin it. While Laila
(Ankita Sharma) is out to ruin Paro's
(Sanya Irani) life, Deepali (Seema
Misha) created hell on earth for
Madhu. On the other hand, both
these men hate the previous ladies
of their lives and always stay away
from them no matter how much they
try to invade the men.
b)The Shaadi Of 8 Pheras Vs 4
Pheras

Both Rudra and RK marry out of spite.
Their need for revenge engulfs them
and they end up married to two of
the most determined yet gentle
souls ever to tread this earth. While
Rudra adds an extra oomph to his
shaadi by adding the vow that he
will never love Paro, RK leaves
Madhu (Drashti Dhami) hanging at
the alter with only half the vows.
c)The Shadow Of Past
RK is haunted by the gruesome
image of his father's death, Rudra's
ways can only recall one sentence,
"his mother was characterless". The
incidents mold who RK and Rudra
grew up to be. Not only does it affect
them, but those around them.
d)RK and Rudra's Hatred for
Women

The leads of the show hate women
all thanks to one woman! While RK
felt that he had been cheated by his
mother who remarried a money
hungry man, Rudra is spiteful
because his mother left him at a very
young age.
e)First Marriage FailureBoth heroines expected to spend
the rest of their lives with someone
else. While Madhubala was
previously engaged, Paro was
married to someone else. Both of
them were happy in their respective
relationships but Madhu's fianc
deserted her and Paro's husband
turned out to be a con man who was
killed by Rudra.
f)Alcoholism
If there is anything which held Rudra
and RK together in their time of
grief, it was their dear friend alcohol.
Every night RK would drink his pain
away while Rudra continues to
drown himself in his misery.

Ok nicely summed up. Me too have noticed at some places, dialogue delivery of Rudra vaguely sounding like RK, there were similarities between RK-madhu drunk scene and Paro-Rudra scene, but it is so little that its negligible.

Similarities must be because the makers were the same. But I think story-wise, 2 stories hold their own charm, attract different audiences. Whole ambiance of RR is opposite of MB. RR appeals to me, so i watch it rather than MB.

Yeah. Very much Similar to MB. They have different backdrops, but most of the things are similar. Like the Vamp, Dark Past etc. But MB had a Bollywood backdrop whereas RR has Rajasthani\Village one. And so MB appeals me more.

MB never appealed to me... but from what I read, i totally disagree with the comparison...saw an e24 segment long ago abt the drunken marriage and it turned me off...
He always cared for her in his own way in RR...

I watched MB's few initial episodes.. But didnt like it.. So stopped watching then.. But i am hooked to RR from the very first episode..

One biggest difference is that.. RK hates madhu and married her to take revenge.. But here Rudra loves Paro .. He is incapable of hating her.. And married her in anger .. Thats wat unique about RR..:) and the Rajhastani backdrop gives earthy , raw feelings to it.. And i love colorful sets of RR too.. Its total eye candy.,😊

RR has such depth and so are the performers!! And if there are similarities then obviously because of the same PH who made them!! And of course because they both are indian soaps!! 😆
