Part 14
The dinner was a splendid one. Everyone enjoyed a great time and returned to their rooms.
Yash was seated in a chair shifting the TV channels when Aarti came out from the bathroom. Yash pressed off the power on the remote and still not looking at her.
Yash: Aarti, please sit down here.( pointing to a seat opposite to him) ...infront of me.
Aarti: what is the matter?
Yash: I'll tell you... Please take your seat.
Aarti sat down. Yash continued to stare blankly at her with a sweet smile.
Aarti was getting uncomfortable.
Aarti: why are u looking at me like that?
Yash shook his head : nothing...specifically.
Aarti: Then can I move (prepairing to leave)
Yash quickly grabbed her hands .
Yash : No ..no let me say...
Aarti: Then make it fast.
Yash remained silent and then asked her softly.
Yash: What 's happening to you.
Aarti raised her eyebrows.
Yash: I mean, what is happening between you and me?
Aarti was totally shocked to here such a plane question from him.
Aarti: what...what do you mean ?
Yash:...what I said.
I have seen you eavesdropping me many times. what do you have to talk for that?
Aarti was speechless...She felt to runaway from there.
Yash( slightly angry) : speak up.
Aarti kept quiet.
Yash: Are you...are you in love with me ???
Aarti's face was pale. She felt as if she has been beaten with a cane.
Then he cooled down letting out a sign.
" I thought not to tell you anything...but your actions always provoke me."
" You must understand that you have a clear face that that shows the emotions you withholds in u. Everything is like a mirror to me. You have changed a lot... I know perhaps it is too late but the fact remains..."
Yash: I love someone else, I cannot even think about any other girl. She is the only girl who touched my heart.
Aarti wasn't able to believe.
Yash: A pure one sided love. I was never able to tell her my love because I never got an opportunity.
Do you remember our wedding night?
Aarti remembered that night when Yash tried to talk to her something but never made it clear.
After a long pause.
Yash : I saw her first when we had a program in their college. That performance of her's...mindblowing it was. Later I saw her many times, in bus stand, park, beach, among friends...
That 's how it started affecting me. I secretly started admiring her. Finally I was in deep love. But before I could open my heart to her something happened that changed both our lives.
Aarti remained silent.
Yash : I'm sorry. Please forgive me.
Aarti was really depressed. She never thought of such a flash back. But it was too late for she is already in deep love with him.
" I am ready to wait even if it takes long. But don't tell me not to love you. I will not disturb you for anything . But please I have started hoping that you will be there for me please don't leave me. I only want your presence around me and nothing else. It was indeed a forced marriage but ultimately it was me to fall in love, firstly. You are really a nice man. If I ever had dreamt about a man then it must be like you, that's why I wasn't able to resist myself from falling in love with you."
Aarti thought how friendly he was during the early days, that opened her heart to fall in love...
She tried her best not to cry soundly as she lyed on the bed. And waited for sleep to save her from further pains.
