Jyoti and Abhay

I was wondering how Jyoti and Abhay got together? Was it a love marriage, or arranged? If it was arranged, I don't understand why such a rich family like the Aghnihotris would marry their daughter to such a loser. He doesn't even have a family, and he is barely middle class. Most of the money they have, comes from the Aghnihotris. He has such a small house and he has no status compared to them. I would never imagine them getting Jyoti married to Abhay. I would think they would marry Jyoti off to a very rich family, who is equal in status like them. Seems as if they quickly married her off, without even caring about who she was marrying. It's like they just wanted to get her off their hands. I feel very bad for Jyoti, you would think that she'd get more importance and attention.

I think it was about control. You can make yr dammad dance to yr tunes by throwing him a few bones every now n then. Has to NA's ideas of course.
