I'm not indian and I wanna know why too 😆
after all it is Rudra and Paro who would bkissing and not Ashish and Sanaya.
I don't understand why a lip lock n Tellywood create such a HYPE when in Bollywood we cant see a single movie nowadays without a lip lock or more

I would love a liplock but a large no. Of TV viewers are from the rural areas and they aren't open about such things and I respect their opinion :) so it's okay!

It wasn't an actual liplock...it was a trick of the camera 😊

But I do wish Ashish and Sanaya were comfortable enough to do a real kiss...

I think somehow Indian TV, the budgets they have and how it is shot, a liplock does not even look good. I have seen in a few shows where there has been a liplock and frankly it looks super tacky. Actually even a lot of Hindi movies the kissing looks awkward (like SRK and Katrina in JTHJ). I am going to conclude that Indians are not really that great a kissers 😆

I think we can't exactly compare cinema and TV. There is a greater intimacy between an audience and the movie - a darkened hall and you invest a few hours. On the other hand, a daily soap is more about familiarity. They are people who become part of your lives and I guess you don't want to see them kiss or get intimate. It is just a little too much information, I am unsure if I am clear.

Also, tons of actors are generally speaking uncomfortable with kissing onscreen. A lot of Bollywood A-listers don't. I think SRK did a liplock after doing some 100 movies. Probably did it because it was a YRF product.

Another thing I notice, the women actors are judged too harshly if they do kiss onscreen or wear a bikini, for example. I still remember there was some backlash when Aishwarya Rai kissed Hrithik in Dhoom 3 and after a few weeks they edited out the kiss even. So, yeah a lot of factors - culture, patriarchy, the works!

I don't see the big deal at all either. But I think it's cause some actors go to television cause they don't have to kiss or do to intimate scenes. Which is kinda lame cause your an actor but whatever it's what their comfortable with. I just don't understand why someone would be an actor if they can't handle a kiss. But also a lot of families watch dramas and the parents don't want to watch a kiss scene with their kids or other family members. I mean a lot of ppl don't go and watch a movie all together anymore because of the intimate scenes unless its a comedy or something. But a lot more families watch dramas together and it reaches a lot of different people. A kiss scene doesn't necessarily mean it has to be raunchy but to some
Ppl any kiss scene is to raunchy. I don't know if telly wood will ever change but Bollywood did so maybe telly wood too. Just not as extreme as Bollywood hopefully.
