I echo Anupama Chopra's review...

P.S I'm not a Chetan Bhagat's fan and this is his only book I've not read so I'm completely ignoring the fact that it's based on a best seller .

PREDICTABLE is the word best defines it. Too slow , too mushy and so damn predictable . It hardly had anything new to offer . There were some feel-good moments though , Revathi singing in the event She was stunning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Arjun-Ronit's hug and Duke and Ananya's confrontation scene 👏
Acting wise the movie is awesome , all were good especially Ronit , Amrita & Revathi 👏
Aliya looked very charming And Arjun was adorable as goofy lover. Music was soothing 👍🏼

I wish they'd have ignored Arjun slapping Ronit scene.

Rest - average movie - ⭐️⭐️

2 States First Week Box Office Collection

2 States has collected an estimated 59.3 crore nett in its first week at the box office. Film has further added 5-5.25 crore nett on Thursday (7th Day). Film remained extremely steady in weekdays and collections are more or less on similar range throughout. There are elections in may part of India on Thursday, which helped the film to do well there.

2 States has collected around 37.5 crore nett in opening weekend and further around 21.75 crore nett in weekdays.

Film has able to retain majority of its screenings for 2nd weekend. Thus, it has every chance to collecting big numbers for this week also. Film will start slow on 2nd Friday and should show good jump through the weekend. Film is a big Hit at box office and now question remains how much is the bigger Hit film is in coming days.

Collection Breakup -

Friday: 12.3 crore nett.

Saturday: 11.75 crore nett.
Sunday: 13.5 crore nett.
Monday: 6 crore nett.
Tuesday: 5.4 crore nett.
Wednesday: 5.1 crore nett.
Thursday: 5-5.25 crore nett (est).

Total: 59.3 crore nett (approx)

Amazing movie 4 on 5 from my side.

Ronit > Arjun > Amrita 👏 all 3 were absolutely brilliant especially in the emotional scenes. Alia was blah 🤢 wish there was some other girl opposite Arjun.

2 States had an excellent first week of around 58.50 crore as the weekdays were rock steady. The Monday to Thursday period saw each recording business between the 5-6 crore nett mark which meant the four days collected similar numbers.

The first week figures are similar to Gunday which had the second highest first week total of the year after Jai Ho. The weekday figures were rock steady across all circuits which means a strong hold in week two is on the cards.

The second Friday will be affected slightly by new releases but the Saturday should see huge gains and a good numbers throughout the rest of the week.

2 States 2nd Friday (Weekend) Collection Update for Morning Shows.

2 States is set to show first major drop in collection on 2nd Friday at box office. Film has opened to 20-25% occupancy across India on 2nd Friday Morning. Good news is that film has managed to retain majority of its screens from first week, despite multiple new releases.

Film has opened better than all new releases which is another plus. With day progressing film should show jump as weekend is approaching. Collections of 2nd Saturday and 2nd Sunday is set to be better and bigger than 2nd Friday.

2 States has already accumulated nearly 60 crore nett in the first week. It is not about Hit status anymore. Question is how much 2 States can collect in 2nd weekend and consequently in 2nd week and that will determine how much is the bigger Hit film is and also whether it can go near 100 crore nett mark.

Occupancy of 2nd Friday in Selected Cinemas (Multiplexes Only) -

Delhi - 25% (Morning shows).

Gurgaon - 20-25% (Morning shows).

Mumbai - 20% (Morning shows).

Ok So I watched the movie again online and finally figured it out. When the film started, Krish was shown in the post break up stage with Ananya so he wanted to commit suicide and came to visit the psychiatrist for that. he narrates the story to the doctor till Ananya comes to meet Kavita in Delhi. Then right after the interval, they show a 4 year gap where the present day Krish comes to the same doctor for consultation since he is stressed that his book his being rejected. That's when he narrates the ending of the story since he ran away the last time. That is why Krish says that the doctor has gained weight in four years.😆

I remember coming in a few minutes late after interval coz i was stuck at the popcorn counter.😳probably that's when they showed the transition of the four years.😆
