ktlk...a classic..

Ktlk..was a tv serial...but then was it just that??not quite..otherwise it would have been buried in the graveyard of time ..one year after its end...bit thats not so..ktlk is still on today..not on tv..but in the hearts of its innumerable fans..
Thus ktlk shall always be referred to in present tense ..not past..
The story of a brooding middle aged surgeon who "is too old for anything new"is swept off his feet by a young vivacious intern...and the rest as they say is history...
Dr ashutoshortrayed majorly by sharad kelkar and dr nidhi..by kritika kamra..did not just act well..they lived the roles..bringing on to the screen the nuances of the characters effortlessly...
The strength of the show lies in its out of the box story line, sensitive dialogues by kpji, a brilliant support cast aka alok nath, nitish pandey, rukhsaar, kavita vaid n vijay kashyap..each character including solankis n cs were well etched out...the story remained linear..with no major digression..it is a love story with a difference..and yet the relationship between baba n ashutosh..a relationship of heart..not of blood is the pivot of the story..
The evolution of the lead pairs' chemistry is just perfect..from a strict disciplinarian to an awkward silent lover..to a shy groom...n finally a loving husband..ashutosh comes offf beautifully..n nidhi with her energy..her spirit ..n yet her strength of character stands apart,..
The show has fans across continents..across time zones..and we r not regular saas bahu watchers..thus ktlk appeals to us..
The impact of the performances is so deep that an ashni separation makes us weep inconsolably and ashni baby..makes us feel..we r gonna be parent..too!!
The top notch of the show is the emotions conveyed thru silences...the intensity thru eyes...it penetrates the heart...
The romance is beautiful...sensuous yet dignified...love n desire all so subtley portrayed...no emotion has been magnifiedto dramaric proportions..
That is the reason that even today this forum is active...the couple inspires us to write stories...n yes we all watch ktlk every day...thst is the power of this love story...the show may have ended but it resonates n echoes across twitter n fb, in the hearts of its fans...
Whenever we hear"hey doc"!!a plethora of emotions..of memories is played in the eyes...and the journey of ashni starts all over again...the lead chemistry is so real n natural..the moments so much identifiable..that each one of us sees ourselvesin ashutosh or nidhi...

YES...SOME LOVE STORIES ARE FOR EVER...THEY BECOME A PART OF US...KTLK IS ONE OF THEM...

Whenever I think of AshNi, the same song reverberates in my mind too: Rahe na rahe hum mehka karenge banke kali banke sabaa bag-e-wafa mein...
