Diya I guess you are affected by last night episode...

I beg to differ here...made a seperate post Fatal Attraction...if you care ot glance...

Somehow I felt Paro is fighting a self battle here. Hence the self-harm.

I will not deny I loved the mehendi scene for its sheer sensuality, camera angle and peformances of two stalwarts actors Sanaya & Ashish.

I felt for Paro Today but Mr Arrogant couldn't resist feeling her pain either. He always have concerns for her from his heart but he masked them and that is what makes her think about him as a Jallad.

Today the Jallad in Rudra took over. He did have concern for her, he even made sure he applied mehndi to cool the burns ... but did it in a way to win the challenge she had thrown him. Which I understood, but the way he did it was humiliating, it was a show of brute strength, which sent a shiver up my spine, and made me feel how Paro must be feeling so utterly defenseless and alone, and completely helpless in the situation she is in. Not a comfortable place to be in.

Hi,

Fantastic post Diya!

Today's episode was heartbreaking to watch. I really hated Rudra today for his sexual intimidation and harassment...good performance by Ashish! His response to her burnt hands was lacking when compared to how troubled he was by her bleeding forehead yesterday. Today he was more Jallad than human. He is determined to win at all costs...

I felt so frustrated and sad for Paro today. She truly feels backed into a corner with nowhere to turn and no one to help. For her to purposefully burn her hands speaks a lot about her feelings towards Rudra and her desire not to let him win. Does she want to win this battle? Yes, to some extent...but I truly feel what is most important to her is not letting Rudra win.

Emotional episode for sure.

Enjoyed seeing Aman again 😳 But I didn't like seeing Sunehri making moony faces at him...😳

KCM was quite surprised to see Paro's burnt hands...In this scene, I think KCM finally realized Paro is a touch competitor in this whole game as well.

Hey Maggie 🤗

Today, the sight of the armed men in his compound brought home to Rudra that time is running out for him ... hence he upped the pressure. And Paro's defiance brought out the worst in him ... he has to win at all costs ... he is justified in his mind because he is doing it for the honor of his men and his country.

What he refuses to understand is that Paro isn't worth a sous as witness ... even if she signs the papers, the moment she appears on the witness stand, her story will be blown to pieces, and he will be doubly in trouble, for getting a false statement under pressure.
He is on the right side, but going about everything the wrong way.

On the other hand, Paro is on the wrong side ... protecting the arms lord ... but her intentions are pure ... more than the thakur, she is protecting her village people, all of whom are as innocent as she is. So she is on the wrong side ... but doing it for all the right reasons.
She cannot let Rudra win ... because if he wins, it's not only Paro who loses, her entire village suffers.

Very emotional episode ... beautifully acted.

We were meant to hate the Jallad ... and we did.
We were meant to feel for the tormented Paro ... and we did.

Me no likey too!

Felt like giving Rudra a tight slap today! Hope Paro manages to land one someday soon. Would love to hear it echo in the haveli while the camera circles around them in full drama mode!

Howie 😃

Gut wrenching script and gut wrenching acting at all levels ... taking advantage of a situation and turning it around to win at all costs ... it left a really bad taste in the mouth. But I think it was supposed to ... we have not been able to really HATE Rudra till now ... or empathise with Paro ... today we did both ... well, quite a few of us did 😉

Maggie ... slap or no slap may happen, may not ... but if we actually get a proper redemption track in this show, I'll be more than happy 😛

it was only the end they messed up. which was after that actual instinctive caring moment that passed when he took care of her hand in panic. so they kinda wanted to show it as a mixed thing from his end n got it a bit wrong.

anyway, like i said, if they use that forceful trailer of the suhagraat as the trigger for a suicide attempt they will not romanticize that one.

I hope not too ... if they do, they have to soften Rudra a lot more than they did today ... and since he is on a vindicating spree, and Paro is on self-destruct mode, this promises to be a set of pretty intense episodes leading up to the wedding ... which may or may not happen!

They got the song wrong .. while he took care of her burns with the mehndi, it was done in a way calculated to humiliate and hurt both her self respect and her dignity ... as well as show his brute physical strength, and the social sanction he has for it ... all leaving Paro with no space for her own feelings, her own wishes or desires. There was nothing romantic in that ... and they should have kept it dark.

Yes, both were awesome ... Ashish kept the softness of Rudra completely out today ... it was all Rudra the jallad. He had to be hateful today for Paro's helplessness and despair to be effective ... and he was.

Sanaya of course was brilliant ... these kind of emotional scenes are her forte.

Today sanaya was AWESOME

Sanaya was awesome ... so was Ashish ... for her despair to be so moving, Rudra had to be a complete jallad, and he was.

Paro is in a very tough place ... only the toughest people can come out of this intact .. mentally toughest ... which she is. And if it is a battle between two mentally tough people, she should win ... but if it's brute strength, he will win.

Great take. I also agree that the song was absolutely off today and just some background music would have done. It was intense and poignant otherwise. Somehow a Bollywood song (that to from a Salman Khan movie... haha) is the best way to make things trite. But on the other hand, they probably added that to make it more palatable for the family viewer. Chalo ek hulka phulka gaana chala denge type 😆

Her expressions were go genuine and perfect, that I felt disgusted at Rudra today.. the way he was advancing towards her at the kitchen just before the burning incident.. he looked lecherous who was giving dirty look to a woman.

I somehow today realized how painful this whole situation is for Paro.. there is no romance, no dream .. just helplessness of a lonely woman.. who was being exploited and everyone around her was just watching and having fun!

Having said all this, i must also confess that this is something i give credit for to the the CVs. They have successfully shown the challenge that the show has taken for itself.. 'Turning this expression into love at the end of the day ' - is going to be hell of a journey!

Today I actually felt that RR was on track ... both the characters were in their place. Paro's hate for Rudra ... Rudra's force over Paro ... this was the second promo ... when he tells her, she can run as far as she wants, he will always be there behind her.

Sanaya was simply awesome ... Ashish was great too, he had to be good for the sheer helplessness of Paro to show up today ... but Sanaya just blew me away with her eyes.

Turning this hate into love is going to be quite a journey ... you're right ... the hatred has a strong basis, it's not a flimsy MU. This is going to be a long ride.
