Bollywood actor Farooq Sheikh dies of heart attack in Dubai
He was 65. His body will be brought to Mumbai today after the formalities the have been completed in Dubai.
Farooq and his family was on a holiday in Dubai when this incident happened.
Shaikh was born to Mustafa Shaikh and Farida Shaikh in Amroli in Gujarat. Shaikh was married to Rupa Jain, whom he dated for nine years before tying the knot. He has two daughters Shaista and Sanaa.
In his recent film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", Farooq played the role of Ranbir Kapoor father. The movie was declared a all time blockbuster and garnered Close to Rs 300 crores worldwide.
Farooq is remmebered for his memorable roles in "Chashme Buddoor (1981)", "Umrao Jaan (1981)" as Nawab Sultan and
"Noorie".
He won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for "Lahore" in 2010
The entire Bollywood fraternity conveyed their condolances on social betwork.
Farooq's co-star in many films and his best friend Deepti Naval said, "Completely devastated, Farooq Sheikh was one of the finest actors in Hindi film industry"
Arshad warsi tweeted: "Really sad to hear about Farooq Sheikh, admired him as a person and as an actor... RIP Farooq Sahab."
Kunal Kohli said, "Completely Shocked to hear about Farooq Sheikh passing away. RIP. Can't believe this news. Really sad."
Dubai: Veteran actor Farooq Shaikh passed away in the age of 65 in Dubai due to heart attack.

Shaikh had acted in more than 50 movies and Club 60' is last movie in which he played character of Dr Tarique.
Shaikh also played the role of Ranbir Kapoor's father in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.
He had also acted in TV series like Tumhari Amrita' with famous actress Shabana Azmi and presented Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai.'
Shaikh won the 2010 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Lahore'.
