On the coming Valentine's Day, Vidya Balan was all set to arrive in theatres with her Farhan Akhtar starrer SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS. However the film has been moved ahead by a fortnight, the decision for which was taken early last week. Reason being that Balaji preferred to arrive on a solo release than get into a clash of any kind in a particularly busy month.

Informs our source, "SHAADI KE SIDE EFFECTS is a very important film for all involved. Farhan is coming back after the 100 crore success of BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG. Balaji wants to start their 2014 campaign with a bang. Moreover co-producers 'Pritish Nandy Communications', who were the creators of PYAAR KE SIDE EFFECTS, too are making a comeback of sorts with the Vidya Balan starrer. It made sense to arrive solo on a week than get into a clash. This is the way they have preferred for most of their films."
"Now isn't that a better situation than arriving on Valentine's Day when there would be Karan Johar's HASEE TOH PHASEE A week earlier (7th February) and Imtiaz Ali-Sajid Nadiadwala's HIGHWAY a week later (21st February)," questions a trade insider, "It is better to get a clean release than arrive in a clutter."
