Mallika Sherawat's starry tantrums: mineral water to wash her hair

Mallika Sherawat is well-known for her starry tantrums and attitude. The motormouth simply loves to behave like a diva with her bizarre requirements on the sets. Here's one more addition to her never-ending list of demands.

While shooting in Udaipur recently for her TV show The Bachelorette India, Mallika asked for containers of mineral water to wash her hair. The sex siren felt that the hotel, where she had been put up, had bad water supply. It was leaving her tresses completely dry. And she certainly did not want to have any bad hair days.

Says a unit source, "Mallika was of the opinion that the water in Udaipur was bad and it would leave her hair in a mess. This was even though she had been put up at a leading five-star hotel. She asked the channel folk to supply cans of mineral water to her room as she wanted to wash her hair."

Adds the source, "The brand of mineral water was also according to her choice. At times she used to wash her hair twice a day -- before and after the shoot so on those days more bottles were sent which would be emptied into special containers."

Last year, when Mallika was promoting her film Kismet Love Paisa Dilli, she had apparently insisted that six members of her staff travel business class with her. When she was was invited on a reality show to promote the film, she refused to go ahead with the shoot unless Alphonso mangoes were provided on the sets.

While visiting a Ganesha pandal with her Kismet Love Paisa Dilli co-star Vivek Oberoi, she insisted that only diet modaks be given to her as she wanted people to imbibe a healthy lifestyle.

Most of the BW stars do wash their hair with mineral water when they are shooting outdoor. Even Shahrukh does.

I kind of see where she's coming from. Some regions have very hard water that's full of calcium and other minerals. This stuff builds up in hair, even after one wash and makes hair very dull, hard, dry and brittle. Obviously, hair full of minerals isn't going to take shape well or look good.

But diet modaks? How can modaks be diet?
