Basti
Episode begins with day break and Babi engaged with obeisance before Bappa, she implores, Bappa before you lies everything..Naku , interrupts her mother's worship with the problem, that not a drop of water is in the house, so she's off to fetch some from Mangla's house..
Babi is under great duress, she at first deters Naku from leaving the house, then on second thought, she says.. she'll drop her there and Naku should stay there.. then she changes her mind and tells Naku to go to shirdi ..and stay in Babba's temple.
Naku, calms her down, and reasons with her mother, for how long are you going to keep me housebound? look over there, and she takes her mother to the door. where havildar kadam stands doing guard duty, before the house. She convinces her mother, do you think he'll let me leave the house? you know he's here to keep an eye on me, so tell me how will I step out of the house?. A despondent Babi turns from the door and Naku, caringly sits her down on the bed..
Ganpat, arrives humming , no woman! no cry! carrying a packet in hand and asks kadam if a bucket full of water can be arranged to be brought to the house. Kadam says , he'll get it sorted in no time!
Ganpat progresses into the house where Naku tends to her mother. He calls out to his daughter, look what I brought for you, tell you what! today don't wear a sari.. keep what you have on! its perfect ,look I bought you a matching dupatta..and he gives it to her.. Babi looks at him mockingly, such a pimp of a father you are! you didn't get ghunghroos for your daughter's feet?.. you have done away with shame or honour you drunkard !she says accusingly. He turns to attack her, and she fights back. He, restrains her by giving her a twist of her arm , yelling you'll try to hit me! will you!.Babi screams in pain, she won't go with him! and he twists her arm as she yelps in pain. Naku gives into the pain her mother suffers, let her go babaa! let go of her arm !I'll go with him.. and babi says no she will not! and Ganpat says, see she's saying she will go! and he releases Babi.
Naku says, calm down aye, everything happen's for a reason, you don't worry..and Ganpat says to Babi, listen to her and learn something from her, such a good girl she is..
Kadam brings in a bucket of water and Ganpat says to Babi , see now I hold clout here..

Morey enters the basti streets riding a motor bike.. he stops in style before Ganpats house ,ands starts showing attitude, picks on two old women! oyee you two!what are you looking at, no offerings distributed here! so away with you!. Ganpat steps out and warmly receives him.Morey greets, how are you FIL? and what's this I am hearing that some guys are bothering you? just tell me who they are? and a I'll have them banged up behind the bars!. Ganpat says that's fine saab! and he takes him into the house, yelling ..look who's here Babi! Its Morey saab! Ganpat invites him to sit on the arm chair but Morey say's, no babaa I had it sent for you, I'll sit on the bed over there.He greets Babi and holds a bag up to her her, Ganpat asks, is this for me? and Morey replies no yours will arrive in the evening, this is for Aye.. Ganpat asks stupidly, is this some fruit, oranges ,bananas, and Morey says, no its.. he takes out a kerala,bitter gourd. Ganpat laughs are you serious saab?.Puzzled , Morey explains, yes my Aye said this, its good for diabetics ..to this is for Aye, she stays well, we'll all be happy , now should anything happen to her , then Morey will suffer the most..
Ganpat, appeases Morey... Babi, ask Naku to come, a flustered Babi leaves for the inner room, where Naku stands resigned. Babi, comforts her daughter, look don't stress ,you need not go any where. Naku meanwhile replaces her white chunni with the matching pink one in silence. Babi, protests ,what are you doing? Naku, surely you are not going?,Naku mumbles , lets go, to her mother, and lifelessly makes her way to the front room, and stands mute beside her mother, before Morey and Ganpat.
Morey looks across her pensively, observing every part of her body, curves and all..he stands up, shall we go, Nakusha ji?. Outside the house, Ganpat, asks stupidly, saab, you didn't bring your jeep today?, Morey, with a crooked smile replies, thing is I've seen it in the movies that ladies prefer riding motor bikes, besides I am happy with what ever makes Nakusha ji happy.. both him and Ganpat laugh heartily, as he invites Naku to come and sit herself sided behind him on the bike. Naku hangs on to her mothers arm, unwilling to leave, but Ganpat intervenes, let her go.. go on Naku, dont worry ,you just enjoy your self..he says.
Morey like an idiot! loudly blows off dust from the back seat, before Naku sits on it.Ganpat whispers to his wife, what are you so tense about? everything should be fine. Morey is a good man.
Naku turns to look at her parents, deep in thought almost conveying to her mother, she would be fine.. and finally on Morey's bike sided behind him on his motor bike.. and Ganpat watches the scene with contentment, while Babi worries..
Soon after Morey reaches about for her hand behind him, and pulls it around his waist..Nakusha ji, if you want to enjoy a thrilling ride..you need to hold on to me real tight..
With a vroom to his bike, Naku holding on to his shoulder with one hand. Morey swerves and swaggers his bike gently and imposingly through the streets of the basti as Babi looks on helplessly.. Naku turns her head slowly to give her Aye one final look before she disappears from the basti area.
On the busy road, they stop at the traffic lights where a boy sells strewn flowers, and persuades ,saab buy this for your lady. Morey cheekily turns his head to Naku, ok I'll take it.. hold it what are you thinking about.. the boy asks to be paid and Morey says come again? another boy comes running to the scene and warns his mate, oyee you crazy! asking Morey saab for money! and he defends the boy, sir he is new to the business he'll learn soon enough! oyee salute saab .. and Morey replies yes teach him and begins to drives off as he says to Naku, go on fix the flowers in your hair Nakusha with a miserable face watches, Morey's misuse of invested authority..
He hits the rod and breaks into song, " zindigi ek safar ek suhana! yahan kal kya ho kis ne jana .. tuu tuu tuuhe!"he sings and then lecherously ,begins to speed and brake! speed and brake! and swerve his bike.. so Naku bangs against his back! haaahaa! he shouts in a thrill!
It is this lovers point at the beach he has in mind.. the romantic venue for his date, complete with flat slippery smooth rocks, to tip toe on and to sit on, to share the intimate moments of love.
Protectively his arm around her shoulder, he escorts her to the slippery flat rocks, which she does board, and slips!..right into Morey's arms.. he fondles her hand with his palm, then trails it up her arm, and clasps an unwilling Naku to his chest, ahhh, don't worry you're safe, Morey is here to hold you!..he takes her further down the chunky boulders, till he spots a square rock ,which he again, painstakingly dusts with his kerchief making it good for her to sit on..and blows and puffs on an adjacent rock and sits beside her, cosily..
He turns his head and calls out to a couple..oyeee saif ali khan!! what you looking at? bought a ticket for a movie? take your chick and move it !before I box your ears! and you'll end up singing,"mera dil diwanee bole! ole ole"get lost!.. As the harmless couple moves, Naku looks unimpressed at him.. how at every given opportunity, he throws his might around and acts like a bully!.
Morey gets closer to her, embraces her feels her bare arms ,pushes his face towards her neck, shall we have ice cream? chico flavour! tutti fritti! choc chip! he forcibly advances on her person.. as she resists distastfully, and declines no... Put off he releases her and says in jest, hey Nakusha je.. you keep saying no.. ummh I am such an idiot,[and he starts to steal kisses on her shoulder !] a spicy girl like you should be treated to chaat! I'll be the hot spice! and you 'll be the sweet spice! together we'll make a great chaat! and he kisses the side of her neck forcibly..
Repulsed, she pushes him away and glares at him. He much amused, and leering at her, places his hand on her shoulder, looking at you Nakushsa ji , inspires me to become a poet.. may I? may I?.. and he recites.. when will the lock of your heart open? my heart is the culprit ! who wants to be caged in it...He feels her chin, and asks, when will these soft lips utter my name? when will my case be taken up in the court of love?.Naku tolerates his nonsense, while he cuddles her in an embrace and asks, how did you like my poetry?, be honest.. yet ,Naku out of her kind politeness, smiles a little, and confesses it was good Morey saab. He reacts , no !no !Nakusha ji now for the general public Iam saab! but not for you, I don't like it , it doesn't feel right, do you know Nakusha ji ,since child hood I have had a very soft heart, hence my Aye gave me the name "Malmal".meaning the silky one..[me cringing] he runs his finger on her lower lip.. Nakusha ji, please call out my name once with your tender lips[ any one remembers a scene?]..Malmal More, Malmal More, please please! please he begs! say it just once.. and Naku nervously utters Malmal More. He raises his arms in delight and jumps up and down on the rocks yippee! I loved it! loved it! mums the word, you made my day! I loved it!aree I always knew my name sounds good! but now that you have said it it sounds very very good! he prattles on and Naku looks down wondering what manner of man he is?he carries on Nakusha, Iam really thrilled today..your lips uttered my name ..[he feels her lips again] More ke Malmal! it's like somebody has lots of butter on the pav baji!.. and he says thank you! thank you! and grabs and kisses her hand..
Two cops on foot duty turn up and stand above the couple with sticks in their hands, watching the public display of affection.. they smile at each other and one of them taps on the rock, where More sits on..and with his palm signals him to buzz off.
More looks up disturbed and not amused, and comments, you can salute me later.. Iam busy right now get lost do your job else where! .. sit down he says to Naku. The cop yells with authority, oyee romeo get up from here! and whose the chick?. More demands, oyee which police station are you from? and one of them ,slightly shook up replies, from Bandra police station sir... I'm inspector more from dhobi talaay police station..get it? ,informs More and clicks his fingers at them while they salute and he adds, stop crowding this place get going! and do your duty! told you I am busy right now!and don't turn around! .he then turns to Naku, lets go eat some spicy chaat we'll share it.. and starts to peck at her shoulder again ,and she says noo..but he says oh come on ,I will take you .. but she declines ..no I will go ..carefully he hangs on to her as she dodges and zig zags her way onwards the slippery flat rocks fixed on the edge of the shore..
More in his element plays with Naku's duptta, breaks into song again,"thujhe ko dehkoon ke pyar karoon", a coconut seller, shaves off the skin off a coconut with a machete .. More brings her along politely, towards wooden bench before the chat stall. A group of young lads watch .. from an eatery stall with cones in their hands..
Naku sits her own, now have a seat here Nakusha ji, treat you to some tasty chat..the boys eye her..while More calls out to the chaat man, oyee make two plates of spicy chaat ready! madame should like it ok!.. and then he says to Naku, I'll get some coconut water for you ..and moves towards the stall.. eyee man show me some good coconuts .come on.
The much amused boys discuss amongst each other, such a dimwit! he's left the girl alone..one of them eyes Naku from toes upward, and comments, the girl is really hot, I need to take a chance at her..and his friends challenges, really?I dare you to go and touch her!the first guy replies.. if you say , I can go and hug her..and he throws his bunch of keys up in the air ,catches them and walks towards Naku who sits on a wooden bench. He throws the keys near Naku's toes. Bends forward to pick them up, while she looks flabbergasted, his friends watch on in suspense, while his fingers tips begin to feel her legs above her ankles. In panic she stands up, he grabs her wrist !while she yells let go of me.. his friends shout. Bravo mukhiya! go on! give her a kiss!
While tugging happens ..ummh More arrives! [as a saviour!? Boy he deserves a medal!lay it on more!]... you rascal! you dog! how dare you!.. and the rest of the boys friends run to rescue their mate! Hey!leave him..they shout at More!
More slaps one across the face, the other he gives a back wards kick, and the culprit he restrains by locking the back of his neck in a tight hand clamp..
Naku begs, More shab leave him!..and More shouts at the boy ,how did the thought cross your mind? how did you even think !and he hurls the boy across the sand, with great force, approaches him and kicks him in his guts! as Naku looks on in horror! her hand over her mouth! The boys friends come to defend him but they get roughed up by More too, who continues to beat the boy black and blue , and finally picks him up by the collar,.. get up you useless guy! you guys stay away!. don't you dare come in between I'll slice you up! he warned. More drags the guy to a recycling bin, pushes his head down, punches him, and finally kicks the bin across him! others ask in shock..?who's that? and a guy present says, he inspector Morey ...he's a very dangerous man.. while his savage beating of the eve teaser continues, Naku looks petrified! at the boys beaten..she yells More sahab! Stop.. and More grabs the half dead boys face and asks, you dared to touch Nakusha ji! you want to do it again? go on touch her, I'll break every bone in your body!..
Then he goes to Naku, drags her to wounded boy , and says come here.. stands over the boy, pulls out his gun from his back, cocks it and hands the gun to a trembling Naku.. here Nakusha ji, take this ,its very easy. A terrified Naku shouts No!... and More encourages her, here grab it! you just have to press this trigger ! the bullet will come out of here and his brains will be gone! end of story!.More explains. The boy begs sab forgive me please! as he sees Naku with the gun.. Naku is terrified by the ordeal, and More assures her ..look you dont have to worry! I am with you! More will make an encounter case out of this!here hold it! and Naku shirks with fright![does this remind you of another scene? in ltl]..the boy begs I won't do it again sir!..and Morey shouts, ayeee! dont move! how dare you touch Nakusha ji!, and he turns to a terrorised Naku ..here hold it hold the gun!, Naku cries in shock! while More smiles at the boy... Naku looks down at the boy past the barrel of the gun.. and she musters up her courage ... episode ends. Hamlet53~12.9.13

Precap: Sethji asks his terrified sister what's wrong? Naku trembles in a state of shock.. Babi asks what's happened?? and Morey says nothing much!,she just's got a heart the size of an ant.. but Babi disaggres.. no saab something has happened for Naku to be like so...
An interesting account of Moreys activities, how he courts and woos Naku, with his pep talk, and finally his bravado.. I found interesting to see, how he experiments with, which bits of his act makes an impact on her..
Also I had a regret ,that the beautiful actress Mahi was shown as her true self against many actors in the series... pavan, murli, shabbir, aadesh..quite a few times.. with mishal... hardly ever..ummmhh..aisa kyun?..😕
