#BhaagMilkhaBhaag biz jumped manifold in almost all circuits on Fri evening. Trending suggest, Sat should be bigger than Fri.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag First Day Box Office Collection

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has collected a very well 8-8.5 crore nett on the Opening Day (Friday) at the box office as per early estimates. Datas are compiled and hence, actual may vary. BMB collected a further approx 1 crore nett on Thursday Paid Preview. Film started on average note on Morning shows, but picked up with each passing shows to put up such good numbers.

BMB registered occupancy of around 30-35% in Morning and Noon shows all India. But soon picked up well from Afternoon shows and was registering big 60-70%+ occupancy from Evening onwards. Even many Sold Out shows were reported for Evening and Night shows, which is fantastic. Looks like film terrific word of mouth has made its affect at box office. Overall occupancy for first day was around 50-60% which is pretty good. Film is released in around 1600-1800 screens all India as per reports. Film budget is 50 crore and needs to put up some big numbers.

Coming to weekend business film after such a start is definitely looking for a 30 crore nett weekend and realistically that is possible. Going by the feedback of the film and word of mouth, BMB is expected to show good jump on Saturday and Sunday.

Collection Breakup -

Thursday (Paid Preview) - 1 crore nett (Estimates).

Friday - 8-8.5 crore nett (Estimates).

Total - 9-9.5 crore nett (Approx).

Wait for actual figure to arrive!

I love bio-pics but mainly Hollywood ones

Malcolm X with Denzel Washington is one of the greatest films ever

I doubt if anyone BW can make that type of movie

If its with anything ill download BMB

I don't judge any bollywood film by Hollywood standards. Or Hollywood films by French standards, for that matters. For instance, I don't think anyone in Hollywood can make a film like Amelie. And that's fine.

As long as it's unique and has it's own merits, I'm okay with it. Not a fan of biopics and haven't seen Malcolm X BTW.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag: Friday (Day 1) Box Office Collections

There is an immense positive word of mouth for Farhan Akhtar's Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which is working in its favor. Over the preview shows itself, the film collected approx 1.05 crores and in its opening day the film's income settled for an approx of 8 crores, as per early estimates. The film's total domestic collections hence stands at a cumulative of 9.05 crores approximately at the Box Office.

The Day 1 pick up of the film is good and over the weekend it can be expected to fare better but since the film is made on a lavish budget of around 50 crores, it is important that it performs bigger in terms of numbers to recover its cost at the earliest and head towards profits sooner!

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's last hit was Rang De Basanti in 2006 and it is important that Bhaag Milkha Bhaag highlights his success further

Bhaag Milka Milkha Has Good First Day

Bhaag Milka Bhaag picked up from the afternoon onwards to record good first day business of around 8-8.50 crore nett as per early estimates. The film showed improvement with each show with the late shows recording 70-80% occupancies. The business was below the mark at single screens but multiplexes did good business.

The film performed best in Delhi city and East Punjab with very good collections in both areas. The Delhi/UP circuit overall scored big in Delhi city but was the opposite in UP as collections were poor in the state.

The weekend business of the film can go to around 30 crore nett on normal weekend growth. The film also collected 1 crore nett in paid previews on Thursday.
