Naku glanced at Nisha who was sitting on the couch waiting to leave. Then her gaze moved to Baaji and Tarak who were loading their guns. Naku's gaze went back to Dutta. She knew he already had his weapon ready. He'd been the first to gear up with the weapon and the communication link.

Suddenly Dutta walked towards her. Srishti grinned at her.

"Aayi!! Baba said he'll buy me a puppy" she said excitedly, clapping her hands.

Naku simply raised an eyebrow. "And where are we going to keep this puppy?" she asked.

"At my house" Dutta offered. "It's big enough for four...maybe even more in the future" he said with a mischievous glint in his eyes. Four? More? Was he talking about them moving in with him? Her heart leaped with hope but she tamped it down, banishing the feeling.

"Four?" she questioned hoping he'd come out and say exactly what he means and wants.

He stared at her in silence.

"One, you. Two, me. Three, Baba. Four, the puppy" Srishti said counting it off on her little fingers. Naku noticed that they now had everyone's attention on them but her focus remained on Dutta.

"I meant what I said earlier" he said as he placed Srishti down on the couch nearby. "Though, I do believe we were interrupted before I had the chance to finish" he stated with a smile.
