Yes I love that scene too!! Even before, just as she was leaving telling Anjali that she'd be alright and she'd reach home safely, you could see Arnav feeling uncomfortable but not being able to do anything at that moment with all his family around! He was practically itching to stop her, to be with her, to protect her, so the minute he got his chance he used his anger to get away from La and his family, and the first thing he did was to sit in the car and go and find her!
Brilliant acting by both of them, I felt they really surpassed themselves in these scenes!
So there he goes in his SUV, racing to find her, thoughts of what happened before going in both their minds. He screeched to a halt in front of her and the look in his eyes when he sees her sad face says it all...I'm sorry.
She on the other hand like Indi wrote is thinking...what's he doing here? Hes just got engaged, why would he come for her? She wants to make sense of it, her heart already bruised lets her brain take over and a happy, happy mask and high pitched chirpy voice is set firmly in place.
He commands her to sit in the car, she says no...and Barun is brilliant in this scene...see the way he opens the car door, back facing, looking at her,...almost pleading but also angry that she's not understanding him...he came back only for her... as he clenches his teeth waiting for her to enter his car...it's as though he was letting open his heart to her!

"Tho tum apni payal ke baare mein nahi jaanna chahti?", I can feel my breath stop at that question, every single time I watch it. There was so much in that one dialogue, it felt like he was screaming
"I love you dammit and I know you do too, so just open up, though I won't".
What was he trying to do? Hurt her? Did he want her to confess? I'm pretty sure he knew what she was going through. Was he taking out his frustration on her? Was he angry that she was the reason his heart was taking over his mind? All of the above?
Yes I think he wanted to talk and maybe would have even disclosed his feelings, or even explained what had happened and why, had she not embarked on her high speed, non stop talk... but why did he want her to say something first? He's scared of rejection, maybe? He wants her to confess first because he wants to be in control? She on the other hand sees a man who is now betrothed to another, anything that may have meant something to her was crushed.
He did know she loves him because of the hyped up constant chatting, it's her mask and he could see right through it, especially at the end when her pallu was caught, he stared at her tear stained face, taking it all in, knowing he had his answer, that she did care for him a lot, she had fallen in love with him.
