With <font size="3">his acting talent he is equally active on <font size="3">b<font size="3">oth med<font size="3">iums. <font size="3">After<font size="3"> Mai, this year you w<font size="3">ud be seen in YRF<font size="3">'s MDKM<font size="3"> pla<font size="3">ying a<font size="3"> pivotal character. Has your pop<font size="3">ul<font size="3">a</font>rity on T<font size="3">V ha<font size="3">d helped your bollywood career<font size="3">?
This is a difficult question, because usually its a perception that a<font size="3"> <font size="3">e<font size="3">stablished</font></font></font> TV actor doesn<font size="3">'t get e<font size="3">nough work in films & its true to a<font size="3"> certain extent. But there are fe<font size="3">w actors who get enou<font size="3">gh work...I p<font size="3">ersonally bel<font size="3">eive that as an actor we shud forget the medium & focus on <font size="3">giving our best<font size="3">. Your <font size="3">hardwork gives <font size="3">you recognition irrespect<font size="3">ive of medi<font size="3">um, be it films or Tv<font size="3">.
<font size="3">T<font size="3">V or films<font size="3"> to whi<font size="3">ch you will give more priority?
<font size="3">For me, both are equal<font size="3">...when i decided to <font size="3">become an actor I never <font size="3">pla<font size="3">nned to become a TV actor or a film actor. I want to do <font size="3">good work...& if films <font size="3">dont provide me that...I will be more than happy to work on T<font size="3">V.
<font size="3">After Hazaro khwaishein aisi & Monsoon wedding <font size="3">nothing worthwhile came to me <font size="3">in films<font size="3">, so i <font size="3">ret<font size="3">urned back to T<font size="3">V. <font size="3">Yo<font size="3">u are on peak <font size="3">in <font size="3">your TV career, are you choosy<font size="3"> & careful <font size="3">while selecti<font size="3">ng your film characters<font size="3">?
<font size="3">I am not a f<font size="3">earful person, neither i<font size="3"> plan for future<font size="3">, I focus on what I have in hand. I have acheived a lot on TV & <font size="3">doing good films also<font size="3">...I know i have a lo<font size="3">ng way to go ahead<font size="3">. I am not s<font size="3">atisfie<font size="3">d but yes, I am happy <font size="3">with everything I have done so far<font size="3">.
<font size="3">Yo<font size="3">ur vie<font size="3">w abt <font size="3">current TV<font size="3"> scenario?
<font size="3">C<font size="3">urrently TV is fastest <font size="3">growing medium<font size="3">, even <font size="3">film makers are under<font size="3">standing & realising TV's reach. Filmmakers are realising that actors like Ro<font size="3">nit Roy & me con<font size="3">nect with audience deep<font size="3">ly. <font size="3">How you mantain a b<font size="3">ala<font size="3">nce b/w TV & films?
<font size="3">For this credit goes to my manager<font size="3"> who manages to take out 15 days <font size="3">to e<font size="3">ach medium. Til<font size="3">l today i haven'<font size="3">t faced any problems & I enjoy working in both medi<font size="3">ums as i love my work...<font size="3">& </font>both are equally challenging & exciting. Only difference is films a<font size="3">re more rela<font size="3">xed than TV<font size="3"> which is more fast paced.
<font size="3">We s<font size="3">ee <font size="3">you <font size="3">only in fatherly roles in films?
<font size="3">I <font size="3">never wanted to be a Hero in Bollywood. If i get to play character roles like Boman Irani I dont <font size="3">have any complaints. <font size="3">Though i <font size="3">am pla<font size="3">ying father in MD<font size="3">KM<font size="3">, but in <font size="3">my coming films you <font size="3">will see me in differe<font size="3">nt characters. </font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font></font>
