Devdas rated so low?? I consider that one of his better performances in his career. From what I have heard, he actually consumed alcohol to get into the drunk role of Devdas.

I probably should tell you I never saw Swades fully . Tried but kept falling asleep 😉

Ha ha I see, you should watch the whole movie someday. Yes it is close to 3 hours, however even with that the editing is fairly tight in that movie. Almost every scene is very important that lead to the events that happen later in the movie. SRK completely blends and loses himself and becomes Mohan Bhargav. A subtle, calm, mannered and resilient NRI who learns many important lessons about life and his home country by the end of the movie.
