6 months later, NM Group of companies' office, Mumbai
It was a bright Monday morning, and after a day of hurried holiday, the staff was back to work. The office was well-furnished and each staff like in every office had their own section to work in. However, there was one lucky girl who handled the graphics and computer-related section and due to her extensive work pattern, was given a cabin to work in(who else?).
DM walked in to her cabin when she was preparing the special effects that was needed for the coming fashion event held in Mumbai and organized by the her company.
DM: Navya!
Navya: yes sir!
DM: how's the progress of the work?
Navya: almost done sir! Then I'll e-mail it to u and u can go through them in detail!
DM: great job! I knew it that day itself that I didn't do a mistake choosing u for this job.
Navya gave a light smile while DM left the cabin telling her to join him for the meeting with the presentation she had made the day b4 for a meeting related to a musical concert. In about 15 minutes, she saved her work and popped out of her cabin with her laptop and headed to DM's cabin.
Navya: may I come in sir?
There was no response so she entered the cabin and looked around to see the room empty.
Navya: uff sir must have already gone to the cabin!
Suddenly a gush of wind entered the cabin through the slightly opened window and a few papers flew to the floor from the table. Navya stopped and turned back to collect the papers. As she took all the papers, she realized that it was one of the presentations she had submitted and it actually had 15 sheets but she only had 14 in her hand.
Navya: where did the 15th paper disappear?🤔
Navya looked around and finally managed to see the paper in one of the slightly opened drawer of DM's cabin table. She checked her watch and realized she was getting late for meeting so hurriedly took the paper from the drawer making a few photo-like stuff falling on the floor. She kept the papers on the table and bent to pick it. However, she cannot see the contents in the photo. B4 she takes a chance to see it, DM walks in the cabin and she is shocked.
DM: Navya?what are u doing here when u r supposed to be in the conference hall?
Navya: sorry sir! Actually the wind made the papers fly to the ground and then'
DM: wait! What's this ur holding? How dare to try to see my personal stuff?
Navya keeps the photo back to the drawer without looking at it and apologizes to him.
Navya: sir actually the drawer was opened and one of the papers went in and while taking it these photos fell'
DM: navya! I guess ur work is done! Pls go to the hall!
Navya: sir id dint do anything purposely!
DM: navya pls go!
Navya sadly: yes sir!
DM hurries to the drawer an takes out the photo and looks at it emotionally! The photo is none other than one of Meetha with a 10 year old navya!
DM: navya!
Navya turned back and: yes sir!
DM: ur not at fault but the thing is I don't like anyone checking my personal stuff!
Navya: I can understand sir! And thanks for forgiving me!
Saying this, she headed to the hall. Suddenly she strange and unknown feeling haunted her and she looked around to feel someone's presence. Someone very close to her heart! She closed her eyes and tried to find who could that be?
Navya (eyes still closed): anant!
Suddenly she realized what she said and opened her eyes to see no one around. A tear rolled down her eye and she wiped it off b4 finally entering the hall. However, her feelings weren't betraying her! He was there! Anant was there in the hall waiting! But unfortunately not for her! But for the meeting! Navya got the shock of her life seeing him there. Like a bullet train, all the past moments rushed through her mind. It came to a halt at the same place where baba, maya and all others went to baba's room to decide their future. Another tear rolled done her eye and like b4, she wiped it off b4 anyone could see it.
Suddenly someone called her from behind and navya was quite glad to see her. It was none other than rama. Mohan and rama had shifted a week after the meeting of navya's maasi with anant's family.
Rama: navya! this is time of ur agnipareeksha! U should pass this exam rite?
Navya: yes bhabhi!
Rama: so go in and do ur best though anant and om papa is there!
Nvaya nodded in agreement and entered the cabin
Navya trying to cheer up: good evening ladies and gentlemen!
This is when anant came out of his world and finally realized what was happening around and saw navya! He was shell-shocked! Probably this was the 4th or 5th time they were coming face-t0o-face after the maasi-anant's family meeting.
Om was quite disturbed to see navya and wondered if the meeting would succeed with the presence of both anant and navya in one place. Navya adjusted her laptop and pretended to look into the presentation while she was stealing glances at anant! Anant was continuously staring at her.
Om: anant! I hope u remember ur promise and ur in an examination! It depends on u if u want to pass it or not!
Anant palely: yes papa!
Anant gave navya his last glance without knowing that navya too was looking at him. Suddenly the fact strokes them that they were not allowed to meet for one whole year! Yes one year that is 365 and half days and probably unimaginable no. of hours in this many days and they couldn't meet? this was merely a punishment than a test!
Ok lemme take u to the flashback b4 continuing!
All the members of Bajpai family along with maya settled in baba's room.
baba: so what do u have to tell us?
Maya: its very simple Shankar dayal ji! Navya is my responisbily and more than my daughter so I would always like to see her happy but that shouldn't be at the cost of hurting anyone!
Om: what do u mean maya ji?
Maya: om prakash ji! I got to know of this relationship today and due to the same I have no idea if this relationship is sincere or not! I don't know ur son while u don't know my daughter! But I know anant is a good boy coze he has helped us a lot in Kanpur! But that doesn't mean I should allow him to meet my navya! for my navya's sake I can agree for this relationship but I can't do it unless I find if their love is true! In addition! U all should also accept them
Baba: why do u think we should accept navya maya ji? We don't know how navya is!
Maya: exactly! The same thing applies with ur son! I can't agree for this relation just coze he is a famous singer or he is ur grandson!
Baba found genuineness in maya's words and somewhere he felt that navya and anant's relationship wouldn't be such a big problem but still he couldn't decide it so soon.
Baba: so what do u think we should do to find if their love is valid and that they are suitable to each other and our respective families?
Maya: taking time to interpret them maybe a few months or an year! My navya is only 23 and she has bagged a job in DM group of companies so I have no hurry in getting her married. Also we need to find her dad! So thoughts of marriage will happen after this!
Baba: even we have no hurry to get him married! He has only begun his career. And we too want to know fi this is a causal affair or a strong relationship so we should take time; why not an year? And in this one year we can get to know navya better and u can know anant better! If we feel this relationship isn't correct, then we can end it all!
Maya: I guess this is true! Navya had never asked for anything in her life and for the first time she asked me to accept anant!
Baba: even the way anant put the whole matter to all of us, we found sincerity in his words! But we can't hurry! Let them not meet in this 1 year and if their relationship is as strong as now, then we can make our decisions.
So thus, they decided to give them one whole year of examination and 6 months somehow passed in their life. They must have felt these 6 months pass like 6 decades or 6 centuries. Poor things! Kya karte? They agreed to this after thinking that if they passed they would be together forever.
