Big B's films were the best films written for a hero. Best roles written and performed by the best man.
There is such dearth of creativity that writers and filmmakers can't seem to come up with new or better ideas. So they try to re-imagine and reinterpret those old iconic roles.
Rajinikanth has also remade several Amitabh films.
But original is original. Salim-Javed-Amitabh greatest combo in history of Hindi cinema!

Even in some initial scenes, where Big B just comes down from stairs clapping with left hand up, style n his english accent - one word - TERRIFIC. Amazing character he did... loved it.
