I agree with you.. none of the player in current team is captain material. And I actually don't want Shoaib Malik to make a come back in the side. He and Hafeez more or less serve the same purpose and now you have Haris Sohail who can be a part time bowler and take a wicket or two..

It definitely is charisma. Afridi also has that starpower which brings Pakistani fans to watch Pak matches. His bowling has improved a lot over the past few years. I don't expect anything from his batting anymore..he gets out on the most stupidest of shots even when he has all the time in the world to play otherwise. Yeah, Hafeez and Malik more or less have the same role. I'm not too fond of Hafeez..he's strictly okay. Malik has been horrible over the past few years but he used to be a decent batsman for us once a upon a time. It'll be tough for him to come back at this point. I like Haris Sohail. He seems to have potential. I think he has played under Malik's captaincy for the Sialkot Stallions if I'm not mistaken.

I like Hafeez's bowling.. He is pretty useful when he opens up the bowling for Pakistan, doesn't concede many runs and also gets a wicket or two. Batting wise, I would say he is average.
Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal have been trying to back into the side for sometime now but I guess there time has passed.
Haris Sohail definitely has potential. He just needs to make proper use of his skills Also Sohaib Maqsood.. He gets a start but only manages to gets to 30s.
Another major blow for Pakistan is that Irfan got injured before the big match. Its gonna be either Yasir or Ehsan Adil playing in place of him. What do you think who should make it to playing 11?

@Usman: I don't know who should be Irfan's replacement. I don't know if Yasir's bowling will be helpful in Adelaide? Also, Ehsan seemed decent with the bowl..his fielding though was laughable. Yasir is a good fielder...whatever the case will be, we don't have any great replacement available at this moment for Irfan.

And yeah..Haris, Maqsood, and Umar really need to fire..especially Umar and Maqsood. They haven't done anything really in this world cup. Everyone needs to fire with the bat. Afridi should also try doing something for a change.

Yasir bowled badly against India.. But he was pretty good during test series against Aussies in UAE. but it is Australia now. Huge difference..

Btw, never expected SriLanka would get evicted from tournament this badly...such a poor performance. Sanga and Mahela deserved a better exit.

I know! ABDV said that they won't choke this time (quite a bold statement since they usually always do in a knock out game despite being a brilliant side)..and they really didn't...but, to see SL lose the way they did, was sad. Sanga and Mahela deserved a better game overall. I was surprised to see how Sanga was batting after what? consecutive 4 hundreds? 😕 Nonetheless, goes to show you that it's the day of that matters during a knock out game. Anything can happen. No previous records or stats really matter on that day (note to Pakistan!!!!)

Coming to the second quarter final game now..Bangladeshi fans feeling that the umpires cost them the match. lol

I won't lie, I'm nervous about this match. Aussies are huge favorites but I still feel we can do it..it's a matter of will we. If we win (Insha Allah), this will be huge. I'm still trying to have low expectations..but whatever happens, I hope we put up a good fight.

Against all odds, I still believe Pakistan has it in them to win this.

Umar Gul was such an awesome death bowler for us in this tournament..and then Aamir (😭) , Afridi (actually brought his A game), Ajmal etc.

I imagine what our bowling could've been with Asif and Amir still..and it just always makes me sad.

Sarfraz and Shahzad failed.. Misbah out too.. Opportunity for Sohaib, Umar and Haris to perform.

2009 T20 WC.. our team performed so effortlessly good..
At this time half of our main players are either unfit or banned :/
