If you recall the flashback with his mother and the rose, Ratna said to Arnav when he destroyed the pot of roses that why did you do that? She said why punish the roses which still had life to live when it was the thorns fault.
I found this very intriguing although people are using it to mean Khushi, I wonder if it meant the mother...
You see I wonder how can a woman like her, who seems wise and calm like Nani and full of love for her kids take her own life for the fault of her husband and another woman? How can she commit suicide and thereby put her children in such a horrible situation? This does not seem like the words of a woman who would abandon her much loved children...I hope there's more to her story and that she didn't commit suicide...Like she said, when describing the fallen roses which were innocent, why would she punish her own children ( because that's what a child would feel, neglected and sad) by taking her own life?

Anyone else thought deeply about his flashback with his mother...anyone else think his mother doesn't seem like the type who would take her own life?

Ps. Thanks for all the comments...have posted few here...please do post our comments!
I do hope there is more to this than meets the eye...!😊

I've felt the same... Such a mother would sacrifice for their children... Not destroy her daughter's marriage...

I totally agree with you,

I always had a gut feeling both of Arnav's parents didn't die because of suicide but they died because of a conspiracy - a murder. My gut feeling points to Arnav's uncle who kicked Arnav and Anjali out the Sheesh Mahal. I just hope even before truth comes out, Kushi makes Arnav understand, that their parents death was probably not an suicide.

totally agree with you. i did this post a month ago. I predicted tht there is more to this suicide crap than the family knows. i thought that Nani will never give birth to a daughter who will selfishly kill herself on her daughter's wedding because her husband is cheating. it doesn't add up.
i felt that it has alot to do with the "the Malik" family wanting to get rid of her. distroy the parents and send the kids away. ...and there exactly wnat they did.
and anyone who could cheat on his wife will not care as much as kill himself because she died. both parents were killed. and if Arnav father actually killed himself because his wife killed herself. then there is someone behind the scene who created a misunderstanding between Garima and Arnav's dad. making Garima think that Arnav's dad was in love love with her.
Again, who takes only one "distant" picture with his mistress. the picture looks to formal...not like lovers picture...
there are things that Garima, Arnav dad, mom and the whole family are yet to know.
I hope Arnav and Khushi will work together to solve this crap out. to clear Arnav's dad's cheating lies, Garima's mistress title and Arnav's mom selfishness crap.

I agree, her actions had contradicted the advice she had given to Arnav. Unless the scriptwriters did not give much thought to them, and focussed more on Arnav's priorty should be in loving/forgiving Kushi.

Thanks for replying! I was beginning to think I must be the only one to think it! 😕
I hope the cvs put thought into what she said, the more they show her the more she doesn't seem weak or jittery like Anjali or like the weak person that Dadi described...

That would be brilliant!! What if Arnav's dad killed Arnav's mom?? Just like Shyam tried to kill Anjali?

I hope not actually, because according to the family the father committed suicide too after his wife's death, if he wanted to kill hus wife, he would be happy when she was dead...I think there may be someone else who wanted to murder them and make it look like suicide...but who? 😲

Exactly! I don't think she would do such a thing because she seems so nurturing and caring, just like she tends to her gardening, she would be much more caring towards her own children...and no mother whatever the reason would spoil her daughters wedding...just look how Garima said, " Kahan jaari meri batchee?" when she saw how forlorn Khushi was yesterday...I just can't see Ratna committing suicide at the peak of her daughters wedding...😔
