yeah well thanks but NBT indeed is so amazing in delivering these kind of sequences..which are sublime as well as multi-layered, so much so that, each and every time you see, some new hidden meaning comes to fore and blinds you with it's significance 😍

Fabulous episode yet again! I am feeling like I am still in the rain induced delirium anyways time to shake out myself from the after effects of that and get down to writing my take.

NJG army with Mohan '

"Kyunki mai jaanti hoon ke tum meri mummy ko phir se same to same mummy bana saktey ho. Aur mai jaanti hoon ke tumhee meri mummy ke chehrey pe smile laa saktey ho aur Mummy ki wajah se hee tumharey chehrey pe smile aati hai"

Nanhi, my cutie pie, my adorable yummylicious chocolate pudding like dadi maa, where did you get all that worldly wisdom and sensitivity from?? Oh her words took my heart away.
There is, right here, for Mohan to witness, that even though he has lost his hopes at the moment as he is all dejected but there are still these true souls, who believe in the power of his love, being strong enough to weather the current rough tide out. Nanhi, Jiji and Guru, the cupids in disguise have taken this mission to heart and with such fervour!!

Nanhi's each and every word was an attempt to rekindle his belief in the power of love and the sense of commitment to keep on giving it his all even if it delivers no immediate results. Nanhi's words used the power of visualization to entice Mohan with the logic that all he needs to concentrate on is not the start but The end, persuading him to picture and focus on, not the journey, but The outcome, which would be her calling him Papa and the happiness that is lying in wait to embrace both Megha and Mohan. Her words created a picture perfect moment, which successfully did revitalize Mohan's spirits and his optimism.

Indeed you are lucky to have such a self-confident, honest to goodness army with you Mohan (and Megha) :) Who are always there to lend you a helping hand through all your tumbles along this rocky path you both are treading.

Oh and return of Nanhi's knot, though even her hanky seems to be missing. Anyways the knot appeared on the tree (religious significance which I am unable to elaborate on), still Mohan tying his knot on Nanhi's knot..ohh yeah!!

"Abb chahey Duniya idher ki udher ho jaye, Mirchi Madam tou meri hai"

Oh yes, return of Mohan's utter commitment and belief. The sweet smile on Mohan's face in this moment reflect itself that he can already hear the crowds cheering, feel the heat of the lights and know that he would be the winner ;)

Indu-Mohan Scene -

Well the scene turned out quite well, considering that I have got severe allergy with any and every thing Indu but I loved Mohan's first line

"Tum jaanti ho na ke mai Riddhima se shaadi nahi karoon ga"

Indu's clutching Mohan's hands and ahh, her hands fell right then, the bubble of happiness and self-deception that she has been living in, burst right there. I had been so waiting for this confrontation and got it todayso thanks to the team of NBT for retaining this sensitivity of the current track. Thank God for small mercies, Mohan didn't get into a temper this time around and handled her as calmly as he could in the circumstances, and even though I heartily dislike Indu but aww, I felt so touched how Mohan reassured her of his love for her, that he is cognizant of the fact the She as his mother has always stood by him and supported him right uptill now. I hope Indu, that you do open your eyes at sometime in future, open them enough to see that your son's future bliss lies with Megha and to make it complete, he needs you to open your mother's heart and shower him with your blessings.

Megha's walk in the Rain '

Though most of it was a dream sequence full of multi-layered symbolism (which did render me speechless) but even right before the dream starts, the analogy had already taken off, do say if you felt the same?

Megha coming out and rain starting, making her try to open her umbrella unsuccessfully, eventually running off to take shade from the rain. It so depicted, though metaphorically, all what she has been doing in her life lately. The shower is the boundless sea of her emotions, feelings that are lying in wait for her to explore them in depth. Till now she has been putting up barriers to shield her from directly experiencing the sweetness of love (except in Thursday's confession). She thinks that if she indeed proceeds ahead in this path of love, this involvement would turn too overwhelming, might culminate in unnecessarily nasty consequences (Mohan's estrangement from Indu) so her virtue of bounding out to meet it headfirst is getting suppressed presently. All this creation of shield takes root in the society's (that is Indu's) norms and ideologies, the suffocating cultural restrictions that are imposing on Megha's mind and quelling her freedom to express and explore her emotions the way she wants to.

Now the dream starts, see all this suffocation has induced her subconscious to dream of the sweet impossible!
The symbolism takes shape, Mohan walking towards her, all drenched in rain, so simple and beautiful. Mohan, who's completely in sync with his own feelings and emotional needs, that nourish him as he lets the rain soak him in joy. He's free of any barriers and shields, as compared to the still parched Megha, because the angry heat of life has all but dried out the love from her life.

He walks towards her, Megha's happiness at that point was so mesmerizing. He comes up and opens the umbrella..ahh her smile was like she saw clouds floating towards her, to add color to her sunset sky, the heralding of the rainbow in her life, that is Mohan.
So she steps in willingly, under the umbrella and the walk starts, showing Mohan's promise to provide all his support to her always, against all negativity and vulnerability that threatens her. I loved how he pulled the Umbrella to one side in the midst of their walk, and then he pulls it back onto shade them. This clearly showed that their journey together, their future together, at some points, some things from Mohan's side (Indu for instance or other family) will cause hurt to Megha but at the end of it, Mohan will be right there to hold her hand through it all, to lend her his strength and stand by her side and also in front to form a shield, to absorb all her hurts and pains.

Let me mention one thing here ' Mohan and Megha, you are one of the loveliest couple I have ever come across, you lend such beauty and ethereality to such simple scenes, your subtle chemistry and profoundly deep conversations through your eyes, take all already beautiful scenes to altogether some other levels of awesomeness. This scene is an example of just that..love you two!

And then the dream run ends, Manav jumps in the middle with his big boring chequered Umbrella and whisks her away, unhappy and still pinning. Aww Mohan, but you saw Megha turning back to look at you, you did, didn't you? Loved that too!

Precap ' So that means, Megha reached office all dry, prim and proper but Mohan had to go back and change his soaked clothes?? Mohan's wearing a different shirt naa..Anyways, Mohan turning Megha to face her reflection and the fact the she's the only one destined for him was sweet but the MS comes again :O !!! and how exactly it coincided with Megha's whole face in it's encompassing loop in the glass reflection..oh, weird feeling inside me..leaving to dissect it till tomorrow.

loved what u wrote...

Thank you so much Fari darling..absolutely amazing...whatever I wanted to say you have said..and then more...My only regret is that I do not have the time to even read leisurely all what you and the others have written...,let alone writing down my own thoughts also..I have time only for some quick reading and some short comments now and then.Even my post about Megha's Love journey is being postponed indefinitely...As I told you I have a lot of things to see to both at the home front and hospital front.after my long sick leave..I am missing being active here so much...missing thinking about the episodes in detail, analyzing them ,sharing them with you all...My God,it is really so refreshing and rejuvenating interacting with everyone...But at least till I sort out the mess that as been created in my absence, I will have to restrict peeping into the forum ..though it is proving to be increasingly difficult to do so.
In the meantime, it is the posts like you and others make that is going to sustain me..I wish I had joined this forum much earlier..but better late than never.

Wonderful analysis as well... Fari guru jiji and nanhi scheming worked once again. The best part was when Monu asks Nanhi that she will say Good Morning Papa everyday. It was good to see the determination and firepower back in Monu. when he said Mirchi Madam toh meri hai " and when he fastened the red cloth, that was aseeti moment. MN hug just made up for everything else.. The other scene I loved was Mohan and Indu..it was underplayed without any OTT wala drama.. Megha's dream was a pleasant surprise to me too...haha... a simply sweet scene. :) Just the whole THOUGHT of MM walking togetherlike that...sharing that umbrella...just having this JOURNEY together was so wonderful to watch.

Fab writing Fariha!!👏👏 You are truly blessed with great language skill!!

Oh, that 'Mirchi Madam' really sounded sweeter than 'main tum se pyar karta hoon'!! And you have captured it very well.

Thank you for a wonderful post.

Fariha Sis,
You have once again written a very neat and beautiful post for the cutest couple on screen!!!
I am not a master of words like you so I can only say I agree with each word of your post.
The symbolism attached to Megha getting drenched in rain has been beautifully described. As I said earlier I share the same thoughts and feel the same about the characters of Megha and Mohan but its you who can put it in words beautifully. So, I would say that my take on yesterday's episode is DITTO :-).
In a gist, I love this lovely couple. I wait whole day to see them in my living room at 10:30 PM and then feel sad when the last segment of the show starts as it indicates the day's episode is going to end. I feel more sad on Fridays as it indicates the start of 2 days wait to see them again!!!
I don't know what would be the feeling when this show would end. but one thing is for sure -
The characters of Megha and Mohan will remain etched forever in my mind and I would always have a nice feeling that I was witness to one of the best shows of my time.
KKK and AKA will appear in new shows, of course, after NBT but for me they will remain Mohan and Megha. I may like them in their new roles... or may be not, because a show like NBT is difficult, if not impossible, to be matched for its good and simple yet beautiful storyline which has been brought to life by a string of really simple, beautiful and talented actors.
Thanks Fariha for this lovely post 👍🏼 and thanks for the PM 😊.
An update:
I have made some changes to my VM "To Se Naina Laage" to include this beautiful and symbolic rain sequence as well some other scenes as requested by another IF friend on my VM thread. I was not able to stop myself from modifying it... for obvious reason - I love this lovely couple and can't help myself from including their very simple yet awesomely beautiful scenes in my VM's. I would post it on my VM thread... hope everyone would like it. I will keep the older version as well. Once done I will PM all those who have liked my VM post on my thread (in signature below).

Dear Fariha,

Claps, claps and a hug for your amazingly written and analytical post, your post is like a cherry on the cake -the original episode.

Thanks for pm it was easy to reach your post.

Ditto to your words on the symbolism in the dream scene and yes, these symbols start well in Vyas house, as Nanhi pushes her Mom to office so that she is able to postpone Ved, Saroj talking to Megha about Manav's proposal. :-)

But as the dream gets over, we see Manav's tall frame stepping between Megha and Mohan all ready to walk together in Mohan's umbrella. Guess then Nanhi's efforts are going to not bare fruit so soon.

Yeh, but as you rightly pointed out Nanhi darling has injected this great hope and conviction in Mohan and the entire Army that they got to focus on the goal and the outcome and not get frustrated by the problems during the journey. This attitude in Nanhi, I wonder from where did she get it? May be the seeds of it were sown by Amar -Nanhi bond but past few months Monu has certainly nourished that attitude in her, the way they both pursued Amar's case. It had one thing consistant, this attitude - pursue your dream, make it come true, keep trying no mater how long does it take. In other words don't give up on the hardships during the journey. Focus on the goal and the joy it is ultimately going to offer you.

So the Army and the capton may have to battle it out hard to win their happiness in Meghan's togetherness.

Also agreed with Mamta's words on patriarchy (from Kiran's post), as she describes the symbolism behind Megha's non-functional umbrella.

I have posted my impression about Indu -Mohan conversation there and am taking liberty to copy paste it here.

Coming to Mohan - Indu conversation. I loved it totally. It showed all the maturity in the guy Mohan Bhatnagar, he as a responsible care giving, loving person. He is that Mohan who would communocate things straight, simple and without hurting anyone emotionally. This same quality stood out when he said to Megha during the chat mangalsutra scene, 'Ehsaan kah kar mere pyaar ka apmaan mat karna'.

He completely owns up his actions, emotions and communicates his ability to be vulnerable to his loved ones. Being vulnerable he accepts feeling sad due to some actions of his loved ones.

But sad he may feel, the anger he may show, clothes and /or tantrums he may throw, but Mohan Bhatnagar will not be crushed and neither he will let his loved ones and the bond they share, to be sacrificed. He is a guy who takes care of relationships. That is a great emotionally strong part of this lovely thing called Mohan Bhatnagar.

By making Indu stay back with him for few more days and by openly accepting, "Mere dil mai Megha ke liye jo jagah hai woh koi le nahi sakati. Aur mere Jindagi mai Tumhare (Indu ke liye) liye jo jagah hai woh bhi koi nahi le sakata", he has started to build the bridge, a zone for him and megha and her kids together, in spite of the presence of Indu in their life and vice versa.

Loved it totally. And it was emotionally handled very well. Love you and million thanks to you Sonal Ji / Subrat Sinha for that scene. Yes I can't even imagine any other person can write those dialogues other than these 2.

Bye dear Fariha, thanks for your POV and it is so well written that I decided to not watch the episode again and said, I would rather comment on this lovely post that scene can be watched few minutes before todays show being aired.

Thanks all for a wonderful discussion. This space today allowed me to share the joy of watching this great piece of art in the form of yesterday's episode. Love you NBT Team. Special hugs to Ashnoor /Nanhi, Kunal / Mohan and Akansha / Megha, watching you on the screen was a great pleasure yesterday.
