It is a known fact that Akshay Kumar is a great martial artist. He is a sixth degree Black Belt in Kuyukai Gojuryu Karate. In his early days, Akki studied martial arts in Hong Kong and was also a martial art instructor. It was during his stint as a martial arts instructor that one of his students suggested him to take up modeling and then one thing lead to another and Bollywood got its biggest action star in Akshay Kumar.

Akki posted a picture on twitter of himself during his days as a martial arts instructor.

That is sweet! I loved watching Akki's action scenes since he was someone who looked like he actually knew what he was doing and could really DO it rather than depend almost totally on camera effects *cough* Salman *cough*

I'm really happy that Rowdy Rathore is doing well for him and he still looks more real and natrual in his own body than either SRK or Salman who both look artificially engineered to represent someone's idea (most likely someone like Yash Birla) of a hot male body.

Considering he's always been into athletics and martial arts I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't do either, or possibly only drinks now and then socially. He sure doesn't seem like a smoker.
