FLAMES OF DESIRE
he looked down at the mug...decided to drink it in one go...taking mug in his hand...he found it weirdly too cold...he looked at the coffee powder floating on water in it...then it striked him...shock took over him making his eyes popped out...
he concluded she didn't put the gas on...he looked at her giving an accusing look...like a pleading one...
for which she smiled at him litle scared bt innocently...maan looked up at babaji...mouthing..."bacha lena"...then looked down at the mug...straighten himself...n wid an attitude he held dat mug to his lips...geet was looking at him wid child like excitement...he was determined to drink it in one go...as he knew if he doesn't...then geet wud become the laughing stock for his family...n he will never let this happen...
he nodded his head in yes...bt then looked at geet woh panically brought a glass of water his way...they had an brief eyelock...maan cud easily see concern in those hazel eyes...n he felt guilty...he looked away...saying...
"mai thik hu dadi..."
n he gulped the remaining coffee in one go trying hard to avoid having its taste...geet was still blankly looking at him n so was everybody...he knew now they are expecting a long prasing dialogues from him...
he broke their trance wid his words...
"coffee bohat achi thi...the best I had till now"
dadi, dev n NT congratulated geet...bt vicky n annie where giving questioning looks to maan...wid apprehension vicky got up from his seat n went to maan looked at him curiously...
"bhai are you really ok"...maan nodded his head in yes smiling...vicky looked into his mug''..brought it close to his nose'''smelling it...making weird face...maan smacked his head...smiling...
"geet ko pareshan karna band karo"
maan looked at her and suddenly making a serious face...geet pouted looking at him...n twisted her lips...oops maan was loosing himself wid her cute antics...she banged her spoon slightly to gain his attention...cribbing slowly...he smiled, looking away...she grinned looking at his smile leaning herself on table...trying to take a better glimse...maan looked at her disbelievingly...making an angry face...
dadi- "waise geet beta hum aapse naraz hai...aapne sirf maan ke liye itni achi coffee banayi...n hamare liye nahi"...
maan's eyes popped out hearing this...
vicky- "ha mere liye bhi nahi...mujhe bhi taste karni best wali coffee"
n he smiled looking at her lovingly fluttering his eyelashes...
maan cursed vicky...looking at him accusingly...n vicky smirked giving an evil look to maan...
dev- ha geet tumne mere liye bhi nahi banayi...
NT- ab toh hum bhi piyenge...
maan panicked now...scared he spoke..."nahi NT you are pregnant, tum mat peena please"
NT- "ohh thik hai veer ji...hum nahi peeyenge"
annie- "lekin mai toh jarur piyungi"
geet grinned giving her toothy smile...excitingly she stood up...wen dadi spoke "kaha ja rahi ho beta"
"abhi coffee banane aap sab ke liye"
maan literally wanted to bang his head on wall...he panciked now wat to do...he stood up n took hold of geet hand...pulling her towards him...geet tried to stable her self leaning over him...n then he spoke...
"dadi dev aur mujhe office ke liye late ho raha hai...aur inn teeno ko bhi college jana hai...toh coffee kisi aur din pee lijiye please"
geet poutingly pulled his shirt...to which he gave a stern look to her...n she looked down scared...
"thik hai beta geet kisi aur din bana legi"
taking a sigh of relief maan spoke..."vicky abhi ke abhi inn dono ko leke college jao"
"lekin bhai meri coffee"
maan marched angrily towards him...vicky hurriedly got up from his seat...pulled annie n geet along wid him...and literally dragged them out of KM before maan punches him red n blue...
while vicky was dragging geet...geet looked back, giving a puppy face look to maan...to which maan ignored saying "nautanki"
seeing them out of the sight maan literally fell on his seat...taking a long breath of relief...dev and NT excused themselves...
"bhai mai abhi aaj ki meeting ki malhotra's ki file leke aata hu"
"hmmm"
maan leaned his head on dinning table...like completely exhausted...dadi was just looking at his grand son with a teasing smile...when maan suddenly pulled his head up...making a weird face...he closed his mouth wid his palm...as he felt like throwing up...he ran upstairs...dadi just laughed seeing her grandson...n she left for kitchen shaking her head..."shadi ke pehale yeh haal hai toh baad kya hoga"
with door opening he saw dadi entering his room...he composed himself...dadi gave him a cup of coffee...maan looked at her confusingly...
"dadi maine abhi hi coffee pee hai neeche"
"ha janti hu worlds best coffee"...maan looked away...
"maan hum aapki dadi hai...aapki har ankahi baat bhi samjh lete hai..."
maan looked here n there...getting where this conversation was heading...
"aur hume hamare geet ki cooking skills pe bhi pura confidence hai maan...i can imagine while looking at ur face how dat worlds best coffee wud have tasted"
n both maan n dadi started laughing hard...he kept his head in her lap...
"dadi please geet ko kam se kam coffee banana toh sikha do...ya phir uske liye kitchen mai entry hi ban kara do..."
"ban kyu...hum apni bahu ko sab sikha denge...aur aap toh ho hi taste karne ke liye"...and she winked at him...
"kya dadi...mai hi mila hu aapko" he shied saying that...
dadi patted his head lovingly getting up...gave him coffee...she left one last time seeing her grand son head over heels in love...
maan was smiling, thinking about all the previous events...n drank his coffee...
after a while dev n maan left for office...and here on other side in college...geet and her group where in canteen...and as usual vicky was the center of attraction...wid all kind hilarious masti n fun of his...geet getting annoyed got up frm there n went towards lawn...sat down on green grass...pouting holding her face in her palms...thinking...
wen vicky n annie rushed towards her...they were following her as she hurriedly left from canteen...
"oye princess kya hua...aise muh fulaye kyu baithi hai"
geet moved facing the other side...vicky got irritated...n imitated like pulling her hair...wen annie stopped him...
annie- "geet bata na kya hua...hume nahi batayegi toh kise batayegi"
"mujhe nahi batana"...geet said wid attitude
vicky winked annie...n spoke
"ha ha annie ab hum kaun hote hai geet ke...hume kyu batayegi woh...hum hi pagal jo uske aage piche ghumte rehte hai...chal jate hai...yaha hamara koi nahi"
"maine aisa kab kaha" geet said making a baby face...
"chalo fir batao jaldi kya hua"
"woh mera n unka kal jhagada ho gaya"
"kya" both in union...
"tumhara jhagada ho gaya bhai ke saath...kyu aur kaise"...now vicky was more excited in hearing this...
"woh kal raat ko woh uss nangi pungi ladki ke saath dance kar rahe the toh mai gussa ho gayi...aur bas jhagada ho gaya...jab ki maine kuch jada bola bhi nahi...fir bhi dekho mai hi mana rahi hu" she said making a pouting face...
vicky- "acha...sach mai itni hi baat hai"
"ha bas itni hi"
annie- "toh aaj ki who coffee bhai ko manane ki thi"
"hmmm"
annie- "toh kya bhai maan gaye"
before geet cud say...vicky spoke..."bhai itni jaldi nahi mante agar ek baar gussa ho jaye...bohat manana padta hai unhe"
"acha"
vicky winking at annie..."geet tumhe unko bohat manana hoga...jaha jaye sab jagah unka peecha karo jab tak who nahi mante"
"acha...lekin aaj unko meri coffee achi lagi n unhone tumhe daata bhi mere liye...yani unka ghussa khatam ho gaya hai" she smiled expecting them to agree...
wen vicky spoke,
"tu tu tu tu poor u princess...tum kitni innocent ho...dekha nahi bhai ne hume kaise bhaga diya ghar se...yani real mai sirf tumhe bhagana chahte the...lekin tumhari wajah se hume bhi bhaga diya...aur iss sab ka matlab yeh hai ki woh abhi bhi tumse naraz hai"
annie tried holding laughter...
"yani woh abhi bhi naraz hai mujhase" she said making a crying face...
"toh ab mai unhe kaise manau"
"arre simple hai, woh jaha jayenge waha jao...jo unko chahiye woh karo...unka picha ek second ke liye bhi mat chodna...in all jab tak woh tumhe maaf na karde...tab tak unka saya banke ghumo"
"isse woh maan jayenge na"
"bilkul...koi shak"
"ohhh vicky you are my best buddy"...n she hugged him...vicky winked annie...mouthing "yeh toh gayi"
breaking the hugg...geet spoke excitedly..."toh mai abhi unke office jati hu"...n she ran from their...leaving two laughing monkeys rolling on the floor..."poor bhai"...both spoke in union n high fived eachother...
