MAdhuri is soo underrated when it comes to comedy! Her performances in Kishan Kanaiyya, Raja, HAKHK and even Dil were just mind blowing!

Not many know that she had acted in almost 30-40 movies before she entered bollywood so her roles especially with kamal haasan with whom she has costared in more movies than anyone...was just amazing.

her movie where she marries rajini's father to take revenge on the murder of her lover (kamal haasan) in moondru midichu ( B&w) movie was mindblowing...she was just a newcomer then

her amazing rendering of a mentally challenged gal in moonram pirai aka sadma in hindi was too good

as the gal who is cheated by her lover and then making kamal fight back against people bullying him (rajini and the gang) in 16 vayathinile ...

as a struggling drama star who has to manag her house and her chemistry and natural acting wth kamal ( I forgot the movie name) it was late 70's or early 80's movie was outstanding..

this was just south indian tamil movies, dont know abt her telegu cant talk abt it add to it a handful of hindi movies especially chandni, chaal baaz , judaai and lamhe...amazing

she is definitely better

i feel a lot of people don't give her credit for her off-beat performances. she has awesome comic timing.. she matched perfectly with anupam kher in khel.. she was just as versatile as sridevi, having tackled various roles.. be it nisha in hum aapke hain kaun, or out for revenge shivani in anjaam, the woman who stands up against her mother-in-law in beta (both aruna irani and madhuri were great in this movie), the abused woman in prem granth, mritydand, gaja gamini, or lajja.. as a seductress in devdas that too when she was pregnant.. the usual romantic roles - saajan, dil, tezaab, parinda, kishen kanhaiya.. she had a lot of strong roles and proved her mettled.. a lot of her roles have required good comic timing.. she was a great dancer, a great performer and an awesome actress..

yes, she did have bad case of acne later on in the years! 😆

however, the advantage that madhuri has over sridevi is her voice and her dialogue delivery, where she trumps sridevi! otherwise, i feel they are nehle pe dehla..
