Sanaya's enunciation: DhokhebaaZI, NOT Dhokhebaaz

I saw that scene where Khushi allegedly calls Arnav 'Dhokhebaaz' and I realized that is not what Khushi said at all.

Khushi said "Dhokhebazi hai woh" as in that would be considered cheating---the fact that her husband took the place of her Nani, NOT that her husband is Dhokhebaaz. I'll admit that Sanaya's enunciation at the end was not clear and the dialog got mis-heard, from Dhokhebaazi to Dhokhebaaz. I also think that dialog got edited, cos there is a jerk in Sanaya's dialog just before.

If she had said, "Dhokhebaaz" the dialogs between Arnav and Khushi in the green room would not have been about "Jeetna" or winning, it would have been about her callling him "Dhokhebaaz".

Listen to the dialog again and let me know what you think at 11.51.

I do think those who're accusing khushi of this statement should watch the video again.

Hi Neems - i played it several times and still heard it as dokhaybaaz without the i. in any case, it matter little because its not like both of them are paragons of mutual respect in public.

You're right, they're not, but this imho was a case of poor enunciation by the actress (very rare indeed for Sanaya!), and not a dud in the writing (of which there are many).

The question of mutual respect does not exist in this soap. Where is the respect when you ask your wife (albeit silently) to do sit ups in public or announce in front of your family that you did not want to give "credit" to your wife after all her hard work. So whether the "i" in dhokebaaz exist or not, I believe Khushi has a right to be frustrated. If I start counting the no. of time Arnav called Khushi a lier, gold digger, down market etc in public, I will run out of fingers. The worst thing khushi has called him was Rakshas, Laad Governor, Khadoos until now and only to herself or in front of his or her family.

I agree with you... I think it was either a mistake in delivery, editing or scripting...esp the reaction of everybody...if she had called her hubby a cheater I think there would have been eybrows raised by the judges and compere he did go out his way to say that hubby held up his farz very well...

Either way people are overreacting. He can call her low class in front of his security guards and she cannot call him anything once in a while? He did break a rule. She was being honest by not taking the award. Some of the girls here are so gaga over Arnav's looks that they will cut the character any slack and God-forbid Khushi is mean to him. I go by the her hubby, her right philosophy. They are fighting all the time anyway.

Sure she has every right to call him names. The point is I don't think the CVs intended her to. If they had, then they would have made ASR pick up on it and say something like "Dhokhebaaz? Aur yeh tum keh rahi ho?"

Maybe I'm expecting too much out of the CVs?😃

Eep. I guess I'm the only one then ? Though Dhokhebaaz does not make sense in the context.
