Till the next day Krishna did not speak to Pratigya.He stepped put of the house knowing that Pratigya's eyes are on him.
Pratigya raised her voice:Krishna!Where are you going?
He stared at her.
P:I know that you think that i have no right to question you.But don't forget that though we are not legally married you have accepted me as your wife.I became a Parineeta when you filled my forehead with vermillion for the first time.Can you deny it?
He did'nt say anything.
P:Why are you not saying anything Krishna?
He started walking.She ran towards him.
P:I need an answer today.Where are you going?
He stared at her.She looked at his eyes.
P:You behave as if you hate me.But still i see love in your eyes.My eyes can't cheat me.
He held her hand.
P:Krishna!
He grabbed her hand and took her to a place.
There was a mandap.
P:I can't understand anything.What is this Krishna?
K:After the case some people were passing comments on our relationship.I did'nt want our pure relationship to be misunderstood by others just because you don't have a mangalsuthra to wear.So i decided to surprise you.
P:What kind of a surprise?
K:Look at the place carefully.
Pratigya observed the mandap.She was wondered,but yet confused.
P:Krishna!
K:Panditjiii...
Panditji arrived.
K:Please conduct our wedding following all the rites,customs and traditions.
Pratigya looked at him with surprise.She became very emotional.Her eyes became wet.
P:Krishna!
He wiped her tears.
K:If i simply brought you here for wedding you would'nt have been surprised like this.That's why i pretended to be angry with you.After this getting married to you will be the real surprise.Right?
She smiled:You are too much Krishna.
He became very emotional:I love you Pratigya.Will you marry me?
She smiled emotionally nodding her head.
The couple conducted seven circuits of the Holy Fire.Krishna put vermillion between the parting of Pratigya's hair.She looked at his eyes.He tied mangalsuthra around her neck.
Their hearts sang,
