why does KKG's kiss affect ASR?

when i saw the scene of khushi kissing arnav, It looks like at first he is surprised and then he is kind of affected by it.. If i remember correctly lavanya once or twice kissed arnav on his cheek but he didnt display any emotion, he was just calm as if it didnt mean anything to him.This makes me wonder why does Khushi's kiss affect Arnav and came up with the following

1. He knows she is not the kind of girl to kiss any guy just for a challenge and was surprised

2. He was not preapred for it, as he thought she will chicken out and was sure to loose the challenge. Hence he was surprised and affected when she did it

3. He was surprised she did it in front of his family and was affected as he didnt expect this kind of boldness from her...
