Tv bahu Juhi Parmar tells t2 how she won Bigg Boss Season 5 | |||
After Shweta Tiwari last season, Juhi Parmar became the second screen bahu to walk away with the Bigg Boss title.t2 caught up with Juhi minutes after the Season 5 finale on Saturday night. What does it feel like? I am on top of the world! Seconds before my name was announced, I could literally feel my heart beating in my mouth! I felt that if they would take any longer to announce the winner, I would surely have a heart attack. I never thought I would win. When I stood on that stage with Mahek (Chahal) and Mr Sanjay Dutt and Mr Salman Khan, the only thing I felt was pride for having come so far on the show. But you were always a favourite to win... I took each day as it came. Every time I took a step forward, I would tell myself, 'Okay, at least I have come this far'. I was never overconfident. Even when it came down to the last two, I was sure it was Mahek who would win because at the beginning of the episode, Sanjay Dutt had told her that the show had a special gift for her that would change her life (Mahek's boyfriend Danish proposed to her in the finale). I thought that she would win even till the last minute. Don't you think you deserved it since you were the only finalist who lasted the entire 98 days? This was a question that even Duttsaab asked me last week, that since I was the only one who had stayed for the entire 98 days, shouldn't I be the winner? My reply was that it wasn't a question of the number of days spent, it's about the quality of your stay. If you have been nasty, and broken hearts and friendships, it doesn't really help you even if you are the one who has spent the maximum number of days inside. What were your special moments in Bigg Boss? There have been many. The moments I spent with Pooja Bedi, who has now become a dear friend. The moment when Sky (Akashdeep Saigal) told me that he looked at me as his sister was special. During the Christmas episode, I was a little low because everyone in the house was fighting. Bigg Boss called me to the confession room and spoke to me very nicely, saying that I am the positive influence in the house, I am the glue that keeps the house bonded and that if I changed my mood, then the atmosphere in the house would change automatically. I walked out and started speaking to everyone and within minutes, there was so much peace and happiness in the house. It was magical!
Looking back, what do you think worked in your favour? I wasn't judgemental. Even if I didn't like someone, I would always be genuinely warm. I have tried to be the woman of the house and make sure that everyone has eaten, that the house is clean. That's exactly how I am in my own home. I think the audience voted for me because they saw a true Indian woman in me. If not you, who would you have liked to see as the Bigg Boss champ? Definitely Sky because he was in the finals. And if they had lasted till the end, then either one among my friends β Pooja Bedi, Sunny (Leone) or Raageshwari. This was the worst season in terms of fights and arguments inside the house. How would you choose to look back at that? I will definitely carry forward the lessons I have learnt in Bigg Boss, but not the fights. I have the friendships and the happy moments with me, but not the negativity and the ugliness. Initially, I would break down when others would fight because the level of ugliness to which they went was beyond me, but later I just looked at them as learning experiences. What is the first thing you will do on getting back home after 98 days? I have already met my family, but not my dog. I just plan to go home and give him the tightest possible hug! Have you decided what to do with the Rs 1 crore prize money? Not really. It still hasn't sunk in! Rs 1 crore is huge. I guess I would just save it for something special and for the future of my kids as and when I have them. |
