Saif might replace Salman in Judwaa 2

He used to be the ruling comedy king of Bollywood. Be it the zillion No 1 films, Govinda capers or Salman Khan blockbusters, David Dhawan was the man with the magic touch.

However, according to industry insiders, Sajid Khan has slowly but surely crept up beside Dhawan. In fact, for Sajid Nadiadwala's sequel to his 1997 blockbuster Judwaa, it is not the original director Dhawan but Khan who will wield the megaphone.

And that might not be the only change in the second film in the comic franchise. Industry is abuzz with rumours of Salman Khan, the original hero of the film being replaced by Saif Ali Khan.

Needless to say, Housefull director Khan is more than happy to be a part of the project. "Sajid Nadiadwala is like my elder brother. He has asked me to direct the film. I will start on the project once I finish shooting the UTV and Vashu Bhagnani co-production with Ajay Devgn," informed Khan.

Though the change in directors is confirmed, Salman's replacement still remains a question. According to industry insiders, the original hero of the film, Salman, might not be able to be a part of the sequel due to his already busy calendar for the coming year. Some even believe that Salman, who was miffed by good friend Nadiadwala's association with his archrival Shah Rukh Khan, might not be a part of the film for the very reason.

Mumbai Mirror has learnt that the actor who might replace Salman in the new Judwaa is none other than Saif Ali Khan. And though both Nadiadwala and sources close to Saif chose to deny the news, insiders claim that Kareena Kapoor's boyfriend is the top contender for the coveted role.
