serious or comedy

I fail to understand whether this serial is of serious genre or comedy.
I mean all of Rashi and her Mom's scene seem like some comedy show.

Do the Modi's employ such a useless guard that he can't even stop a lady from entering thr office and also not be able to catch them once he suspects that they are some thieves?

And who the heck says "kalakari" when they are under so much stress? not entirely sure what kalakri means but i think it means some dramatic play or something along those lines. Wouldn't people use terms like solution to this problem?

I understadn that Rashi's mom is a villain but i really wish that she would use a more serious approach when trying to save her daughter's house from breaking or perhaps trying to fix her broken house.
