We were smitten at hello with the delicate and stunning actress

Dia's first venture as a producer, Love Breakups Zindagi, released recently. It may not have set the record books on fire but she's happy with the response it has gotten. Along with friend Zayed Khan and boyfriend Sahil Sangha, her company, Born Free Entertainment, is all set to roll out more films. Work aside, Dia seems to have found that very special something with Sahil ' her irrefutable inner-glow must have something to do with love. While marriage is still a while away, the two love-birds seem very committed to each other. We chat with the incandescently beautiful lady about her newfound life and the myriad things she's planning on doing in the future...
Zayed Khan, your friend, is now your business partner. What is your relationship like?
Zayed and I are great friends. It was wonderful working with him because I personally have a lot of faith in his ability and I believe that he hasn't gotten a role he can relate with till date ' this movie works beautifully for him in this regard. He is normal and un-fussy; just watching him play Jai, his character in the film, was fantastic. Also, I think the workshops we did with Barry John helped a lot as they stripped us of all his inhibitions and just let us be actors. With this film, people will see a new side to Zayed.
What, according to you, is the reason why so many people break up these days?
I think there are far too many expectations. Moreover, one's ego also sets in once in a while. It usually happens when you are with someone who you aren't completely compatible with mentally; sometimes two people come together for all the wrong reasons. But then we have enough examples around us of people who have gone the distance. If you look closely you'll see that these people are very compatible because they draw happiness from simple and small things. Life isn't perfect hence no relationship can be perfect. You need to accept other people, mostly your partner, for who they are and learn to forgive.
You are in a relationship with Sahil Sangha. Does it put additional pressure on you when you're working with your boyfriend?
On the contrary, if you are mentally compatible and are on the same wavelength then it makes life easier because I don't have to go home and explain what my work is all about. If I go back and say, 'I did 20 interviews today and I'm exhausted,' then he'll understand! I don't have to sit for half an hour and explain 'why' giving so many interviews can be physically excruciating.
What is the most romantic thing Sahil has done for Dia? What's her advice to those waiting for Mr Right? Would she ever do a movie like 'Delhi Belly'? The star reveals all this and more only in the new issue of Masala! magazine.
