The best tragic stories in Bollywood past/present

There have been a lot of great tragic stories made in Bollywood. From the classics, there are obvious ones like Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, Mother India, Devdas, Umrao Jaan, etc. Tragic stories have proven to have a lot of depth and meaning to them. Sure, they make one cry a lot! 😭 But, I enjoy tragic stories.

What is your favorite tragic story, past/present? 👏👏👏

At present I can think of "Ghajini", & what made me more sad was that even before dying kalpana cudnt come to know that Amir was Sanjay singhania.

Devdas was very tragic, Laila Majnu and Heer Ranjha definitely

My fav tragic movie would be Baghban.. it really was a tragic and one way or another touches everyones life.. I loved Amitji in it but there's also Tere Naam, Anjaam, WAF, Fiza.. beside wat u listed Devdas, Umrao Jaan.. each one has a diff story diff situations .. but loved all of them..

If I had to choose my fav ending it got ti be the bittersweet Gangster ending

Never watched the old Umrao Jaan, but the one with Ash was so tragic!
And ofcourse Ghajini, Devdas,Muqaddar Ka Sikandar and Qayamat se Qayamat Tak

Well i am really not fond of tragic stories😒 I never enjoyed any tragic movie😕 But if i had to name one i would say Kal Ho na Ho-that's the only tragic sad movie that i can remember rite now.
