I didn't like Ghajni so much so that after walking out of the theater I decided not to watch Hindi movies ever in the theater, but I found the part when he watches Kalpana die really tragic.

Can you consider Baabul & Kuch Kuch Hota Hai tragic?

You have an interesting perspective! Yes, Babul had a tragic story of a widow who lost her husband. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai also was the story of losing a mother and best friend. 😭
