Did Viren have a reason to be angry at Nivedita?

Many people interpreted Viren's anger expression as his 'need for revenge'. But I have a different opinion on it. Ever since the episode where Nivedita pours her heart out to Viren, he looked to me like a changed man. He even goes to the extent of playing the love drama with her to get Siddharth to move on so that he can take his place in her life. When she tells him that now Siddharth knows everything and would break the marriage (He says I won't give up now ' which I interpret as for his Dadaji's sake and for him) he walks to the hall by holding Nivedita's hands and announces to his family that he wants to marry Nivedita. He fights his family for her and even opts for her over them. He also does not take her insult and disrespect for her silently and gives his family a verbal bashing. He had his mother crying buckets.He even went to the extent of catching his parent's hands and standing in front of her ready to fight Siddharth. According to me, He was a crazy lover who played his part well.

He could not take it when Nivedita, for whom he was fighting with his family, left his hand and walked away. He holds her hand and re-assures her that he did not hold her hand to leave it and that he loves her and that she is his life. He would live without his family but would not be able to live without her and that they cannot separate ' now or forever. When she left his hand in the middle of the road he had all reasons to feel angry at her (How could she? After he has done all this for her and after she said that she would not leave his haath or saath'it hurt to see that she actually did not mean what she said. After all, he left his Family and comforts for her sake). When she said the Natak word it hurt him and he felt angry at her because it was not a drama for him. He meant everything he said in front of his family and to her. He loves her like crazy and wants to get her by hook or crook and hence he manipulated her into doing what exactly he wanted. He did not use force, he just reasoned with her for taking the best decision for them.

Do I make sense here? Your Thoughts Please...

Once again, Anamika, I agree with every word. Up till now Viren's actions have been applaudable. But the CT's are an unpredictable group - shocking us viewers is their favorite hobby. So if they turn Viren into a negative character, my socks would be knocked off and I'd be scratching my head in bewilderment for the rest of my life 😕. Why? Because, like you, I can't find a single reason as to why Viren would still be vengeful of Nivi, after seeing the sacrifices she's making for others. Viren's parents and Yashodra claim she's a greedy daughter of a greedy father. Well, who better than Viren should know that isn't the case. If money was what Nivi wanted then she wouldn't be so darn hesitant in marrying Viren. She also gave up her first love for her sister. Once again, Viren knows, that sacrificing her love, even though Sid treated her so shabbily, was no easy task for her and yet she did it. Viren sees Nivi and her family being insulted at every chance the Soods get but neither Nivi nor her family retaliates.

After seeing all the goodness the Sharmas represent and Viren still goes into his revenge mode - I would lose all respect for the character 😡. But one thing I am sure of, even IF Viren is out for revenge - falling in love with Nivi would be inevitable for him 😳

That was actually sleeping pills and not some pills to know weak points which is why she slept like a baby till late in the morning. She would not have woken up for some time or talked her heart out if he had not by accident touched her while checking if she is fully unconscious.

I have told this earlier too... He might have had the 'deed' in mind when he gave her sleeping pills. But after he heard her talking about the guy who broke her heart and that she want him to be happy and she would be happy seeing him happy... it got him to thinking that how can a girl like her hurt anyone (Dadaji)...he changed his mind. He has a painful expression on his eyes when he supports her while she falls asleep after getting up and later when he looks at her(We also hear the flute played in the background... the famous NivRen tune).He also helps her with the decorations by hiring extra staff and paying from his pocket and that too unknowingly.
