Riddhima's phone rang in the middle of the night.

Riddhima: Hello

Armaan: Helllllloooooo! He said stretching the word loud and singing it.

Riddhima: Armaan! Where are you?

Armaan: Wahin jahan tum ho.

Riddhima: Huh?

Armaan: I'm outside your house dummy!

Riddhima: What? Thero I'm coming! She crept downstairs coz everyone was fast asleep and opened the door quietly and in stumble Armaan.

Riddhima: What are you doing here? OMG are you drunk?

Armaan: Hey Ridzi! I can't find me keys! And if I go home like this and at this time, my mom is going to kill me. I'm not drunk no sireeee no not me he said and started laughing.

Riddhima: SHH! You sit! I'm going to make you some coffee. Armaan smiled at her and followed her into the kitchen. He sat on the high stool at the counter and stared at Riddhima as she rummaged in the closet.

His eyes roamed over the lilac tank top and shorts she wore to bed that revealed more than it covered. He sat there with a silly grin on his face, checking her out and Riddhima alarmed by the silence, thinking that Armaan had passed out turned around.

The look in his eyes turned her legs to jelly and she slowly looked down and realized what she was wearing. She cleared her throat and looked around for something to cover herself with while Armaan sat there with the goofy look on his face, still checking her out.

She finally spotted a dupatta and picked it up to cover herself (like a dupatta would be of much help) but Armaan grabbed her arm before she could put it on herself.

He took it out of her hand and tossed it on the floor looking into her eyes all this time and then slowly he started pulling her towards himself. Riddhima lost in the intensity of his look went forward with no resistance until their bodies were touching.

He moved his arm and brushed it across her face, pushing tendrils behind her ears without breaking eye contact and Riddhima lost in his gaze stood there without moving.

Armaan was sobering up fast. He had the most beautiful girl in his arms, gazing at him with adoration and another unknown emotion (oh please let it be love). His other hand encircled her waist as he pulled her closer still until their faces were merely an inch apart.

He looked into her eyes, weighing every emotion he read there, seeing for himself what she had been trying to hide from him and everyone around, she liked him!! He felt like whooping with joy but the lateness of the hour demanded that he celebrate his joy internally.

Riddhima: Umm Armaan let me go!

Armaan: Nahi.

Riddhima: Nahi? Kya matlab nahi? Let me go before someone comes down.

Armaan: Koi nahi aaye ga coz everyone is sleeping. Now stand still, I've wanted to do this for the longest time.

Riddhima: Do what? She whispered right before Armaan lowered his head and gave her her very first kiss. He kissed her softly, tentatively trying not to scare or over whelm her. When he got no resistance from her, he deepened the kiss, his tongue stroking hers and his heart leapt when she started to respond.

In a flash, he picked her up, walking towards the living room without breaking the kiss. Riddhima was lost in the kiss, unaware of her surroundings, her only focus on the feelings that Armaan was invoking within her with his kiss. So she was a bit surprised to feel the cool back of the leather sofa as Armaan sat down with Riddhima still in his arms.

The realization that they had moved brought her back to reality and she broke off the kiss, breathing heavily as her eyes questioned Armaan.

Armaan stared back, unnerved by what had just taken place this intensity was new to him and it took his breath. He let go of Riddhima who was breathing hard and tried not to stare at her heaving chest.

Riddhima: So umm…

Armaan: Yeah. Look Ridzi I really like you and by the response I got to my kiss, I'm guessing you like me too, he stated grinning at her.

Riddhima: (muttering under her breath) No need to look so smug about it.Oh no now he knows I like him!
