A dashing, elegant and strikingly handsome man, Mohit Sehgal, has become the heart-throb of his die-hard fans on Indian television. Born in Chandigadh on December 3, 1985, and raised in Delhi, this Punjabi lad was attracted by the dazzle of the glamour world form a young age. He geared himself for his chosen destiny by enrolling in acting classes from Barry John. He started his career as a model, became a print boy for some big banners in the advertising industry. This was not enough for Mohit, though. His mind was steadfast on acting. He entered his dream world of acting through Bollywood.
In his debut Hindi movie, Delhi Heights starring Jimmy Shergill and Neha Dhupia, he played the role of Vicky.
However, the road from Delhi to Mumbai was not smooth for him. He had to jump many a hoops and cross many a hurdles. The main one was the objection from his father. As reported by Tellycafe.com, for almost five years, Mohit kept pleading and his father kept denying him, and finally when the permission was granted, it was conditional! Mohit had to prove his talent in acting within six months, or else…
Mohit grabbed the opportunity before his father could change his mind and landed up in tinsel town. Once there, he managed to get the role of Samrat, a college boy, in the TV serial Miley Jab Hum Tum, airing on channel Star One. From this very first TV serial, Mohit has carved his niche in the television industry of India. He has gathered a huge crowd of fan-followers around him. People appreciated his acting so much that he was nominated for the New Talent Awards for Best Actor – 2009.
In personal life, Mohit is a very fun-loving, happy-go-lucky kind of a person. He is a single, eligible bachelor.
