Should we sit & watch this show blindfolded?

Hey friends, greetings!
As most of you feel, sometimes I do have trouble watching this show because I'm sick and tired of pretending that I'm a eight year old boy. When Abha was looking for a job, she only found it in SB. Similarily when Prakesh started his first job, it landed him with Jaggu in SB, and again his second job as a driver was also with Jagmohan. Now when Karan needed employment, he ended up being employed with Thakur, as if there are no other jobs availabe in the entire city of Ujjain.
You know what folks? These creatives are highly paid people but they are doing a sloppy job. The million dollar question is why would they work hard to create new situations? Why would they put extra stress on their brains when they don't have to. This show is getting a great response,TRPs are fine, they are getting handsome rates for commercials, which makes the financers and producers very happy, who cares about viewers? Out of 1.14 billion people if 50 millon watch the show, they are successful.
Abha has been under lots of pressure and stress, always confused and sad but nobody seems to understand her problems. Even her own mother can't read her mind or try to understand why her daughter has been behaving abnormally. Mothers don't have to be rocket scientists to figure out that there is something wrong with their kids, it is second nature to them.
Let's take our lovely Karan's example, his acting has been superb throughout. Nobody takes a note of it that why is he seen around Abha? CP should know why did Karan help them with their housing problem? Thakur can easily read whats going through Jaggu's mind from miles away but he can't understand why Karan is being seen around their residence over and over again.
When I was in my teens and if we spotted a guy following a girl on the street in our neighbourhood, we used to beat him like hell to made him realized that it would've been better if he was a girl. After that kind of treatment these Majnu type boys are not seen on the street again.
Anyway folks, whatever creatives are doing let them do it as we have no control over them but I admit Karan and Abha are playing their role beautifully and they are full of tallent and skills.
God bless and good night.
Jas.

Wonderful text Jas👏
I must say you're absolutely right😊
We are turkey stuffing and I think the producers should meet our needs instead of making the story drag on and on.

Jas............well said! 👏 👏
I can relate to what you are saying 100%. I am sick and tired of these 'serial situations'. So unrealistic and nonsensical............. But I have honestly given up expecting any thing realistic from them.............it happens once in a blue moon everything else is rehashed serial after serial!!
I was so frustrated with that scene of wedding celebration where everyone was belting out hindi movie songs..............I mean who in real life does that??? Why cannot they make the serials closer to reality and the truth is that such serials will sell more because people will genuinely appreciate them!
And very very well said about mothers knowing what their children are going through............I even know of situations where the children and parents were at great distance but the mother knew by intuition that something was not right with her child.
Here Abha is right in front of her mother looking all dead and dull and the mother cannot figure out what is wrong?????
And the character inconsistency gets me everytime.
An example is when Thakur took that money from Sanskaar...............I mean how can they show him doing it when they showed the same guy going all crazy about 'atma-samman', 'maryaada', 'gaurav'............etc etc???? So now as soon as the would-be son-in-law offers money, he just takes it without any shame? Without giving a hoot to any of the above characteristics that he was swearing by all along?? 😲
Ofcourse we just have to hope that maybe once, just once they will make a serial that is worth our time!

Jaspal--
I like your post and I cannot agree with you more. Perhaps, creativity is too risky, especially in India, where tried and true will work now, 20 years from now, and 50 years from now. Why rock the boat?

I honestly believe that as fans, we are trying to amuse ourselves and express ourselves with our posts rather than expecting any serious changes to EVER, EVER happen.

When drama becomes comedy on a show, then it's hard not to laugh at the farce.

I think we are a very fun, creative forum. So I hope our opinions, criticisms, and fun continues, even at the expense of characters and CVs. It's all good, clean fun, as they say, right, all?

Regarding good acting, yes both actors are good. My hope--make that DESPERATE hope--is that they animate Abha. I get her problems, I don't get her decisions. And the funniest thing on this show, aside from the track lack of speed, is Abha's immobile face, UTTER fear of people finding out she's married. I spend more time rolling my eyes at the character and hitting the forward button on the video, and lo and behold! 2 minutes later, she has that same expression on. I look at the time on the video, and yes, I did actually fast forward it. They are doing Suhasi a great disservice as an actress-- her character is a feeble, mute, irritating character (named Abha no less) whose face is immobile; she says nothing, does nothing, but stare. Vaah, she is the IDEAL Indian woman!

Plus, if your father asked you to marry someone you could NOT imagine being married to, let alone touching, would you really go to these ABSURD extremes? It's like Moliere's plays on crack. And you're married already! I am laughing, and laughing at those limited CVs right now!

I don't think any of us honestly expect reality or creativity. Let's look at Bollywood--most ideas were (and to some degree still are) really poorly executed copies of American movies and ideas. But on a 10 year lag. However, once in a while, the TV industry should trailblaze -- you know, once every 20 years with at LEAST one innovative show that shows something wrong with a girl marrying a guy for her father's jollies (and of course safety....). As Suhasi mentioned, she's not happy but everybody else is. And her character is the one who has to live with the unhappiness. So abusurd...I feel Moliere turning over in his grave!

But it works with the public, and so it must continue. And so must our amusement and exercise of our creative and comedic talents as a forum! I figure if the show can't do it, then we should.

🤣

Abha, BTW, is a name of strength, associated with Parvati, strong, right and good. It is a complete misnomer for our Abha. Her new family should change her name...can you recommend one more fitting?
