Btw I loved the humor used when showing Raju's family! lmao! The budhi maa, unwed behen, and paralyzed baap! The image of raju's baap sandwitched between kareena and aamir, with his hands dangling on the sides is still fresh in my mind!!!

^^ Hahah.. that scene was hillarious! They have used humor brilliantly to show the usual cliched stuff! And the best part is that they successfuly showed the emo scenes with conviction also... Every emotion that they touched in the movie was just beautiful! This movie is really a breath of fresh air.. in a much dissappointing year for bollywood movies..

BTW.. Desu and others who are here right now!!! Have you guyz eaten DHOKLA??? LOL.. If not.. seriously worth trying.. its delicious..

The Dhokla scene and the Balatkar/Chamatkar speech had the whole theater going crazy!!! The whole movie was a riot.. too good! You should definately try a dhokla.. its totally awesome and its also low in fat .. haha

I saw an interview of Raju hirani and he was saying that he takes about 2 to 3 years to write scripts for his movies.. but because this script was inspired from a novel.. he just took about over a year to script it.. I have heard that it is quite different from the novel.. not sure though.. cauz I haven't read it! But imagine taking more than a year to script a movie.. sound exciting.. 😆 The movie appears to be simplistic from the outside.. but manages to talk about significant issues with ease and is very skillful and smart. And they have used humor in a very nice way! Really it is just a very refreshing take on things.

Well I have read the book and I would say it is unfair to Chetan Bhagat when Raju says it is only 10% of the book...yes...only about 10% of what actually happens in the book is seen on the screen but the basic spirit of the book remains in the film... first and foremost...the 3 characters...crazy, idiotic, yet lovable were created by Chetan Bhagat....I really admire his wit and sense of humour...the ragging scene is there....one of the character longs to be a painter...the story of the brother's suicide...the paper stealing....even some of the locations ...the insti roof for example ...a lot of the Sharman's family and the humorous take on their poverty and helplessness... Neha's bold overtures...all that and more is from the book...Chetan Bhagat should be given more credit...but yes Raju hirani/ Abhijat Joshi did do a wonderful job with the script and screenplay...

^^ Yea I just read an interview of Chetan and he was talking about how Raju and Abhijat tried to get him involved in scripting and they did involve him in initial stages.. but due to his prior commitments he wasn't able to get fully involved. From the interviews that I saw of Raju.. he did say that it was easier to script this movie because the basic premise and characterization was inspired from the book.. I guess the 10 percent comment was misconstrued by the media. But the book sound pretty exciting from talks of it.. and maybe I should give it a shot.. now that I am totally in love with the movie.

Damn adios, taht dhokla scene got the most cheer and laughs in my theater. I mean there was one point where everyone was laughing so loud, that we BARELY heard her say, "aaj bush ne raat mein do dhokle giradiye" 😆

Aaj Bush ne Iraq pe 2 dhokle gira diye! 🤣 🤣 🤣 That was the best! 🤣 Kareena was so cute in that scene! 😆 and the way she kept on saying she didn't like his name and she won't change her surname.. 😆

EVen at hte end with the twist, Sharman and Maddy were more excited about that but she kept saying how she doesnt like his name still! Lmao!

I wanna watch 3 Idiots again. I honestly dont remember the last time I had this much fun watching a movie int eh theaters. Truly, 3 Idiots is an experience!

OO! And I forgot to mention the biggest part! SHARMAN JOSHI WAS IN OUR THEATERS! Imean Fremont, CA! HOW RANDOM!
But I just now after i came out, for the first time I saw the owner of our theaters standing there in teh crowd and turns out Sharman JUST LEFT!! He was there! But when my show ended, he'd left by then! AHHhHHH! 🥺
