Commitment first for Smriti

Smiriti Irani gives first preference to her professional commitments. On March 23 she had to shoot for the two special mega merger episodes of three Balaji shows, one of which was Kyunki. Though her daughter wasn't well Smriti made it a point to attend the shoot on time. What's more, March 23 also happened to be her birthday.

When word went around that Smriti reported for shooting despite her daughter's illness and her own birthday that day the surprised unit members and co-actors were all praise for Smriti's commitment to work.

As she told this writer recently about managing her time between home, acting and production, "It's not all that difficult. One only needs to be little more organised. I even cook food for my family. Cooking at least one meal a day is a must for me." Incidentally between 8 and 9 pm Smriti is always at home. That's when her kids eat dinner and go to bed. And Smriti is there with her little ones till they bid her good night.
