After seeing the promo, I began watching the show. I mistook it for a show on the journey of a self-sufficient lady. I had no idea I was in for mental torment!! Kajol is frequently mistreated by her own family... First and foremost, her so-called mother and sister!! I'm at a loss for words for the mother; she's past redemption...

there are too many toxic characters Arjun and his family, Noyna and family, Priyanka, and now Anurag's grandma! Why is she included in the plot? Uspar ek aur dal diya pehle sehi itne bad characters hai!!

So-called nice characters, like Kajol, have no spine!! As an audience member, I'm becoming tired of seeing this torture...even Anjol has lost his appeal! I'm no longer interested in the storyline and the trp of this programme is low..it will soon go off-air due to the creators and their awful script!

I agree with you that it's survival chances are very low. And shitty characters are overpowering the nice characters. I had wanted it to succeed because it had Ishita Dutta and Harshad Arora. And I have come to appreciate Karan Suchak and Patrali Chattopadhyay as well. But the story arc is very weak. And now even if they improve, it has tough competition from shows on other channels with YRKKH taking up the storyline of Ichhe Node another Leena Gangopadhyay show and Kundali Bhagya also going for a story revamp.

I would have preferred Kajol to go it alone but now Anurag and Kajol's immediate marriage is even preferable to the negativity that exists in the show.

I think it’s too early to say this- as long as these guys can get back to the 1.3 mark and stay consistent it’s fine- and I also think Ishita’s absence/leave caused a lot of filler negativity scenes. After all this show is still only 60 episodes old, they have some more time to pull stuff together.
I’m only worried that Ishita might soon have to go for Drishyam 2’s shoot which is scheduled for December or January apparently.

I hope colors puts out effective promos soon

As long as they place focus on Anurag Kajol Arjun, and then shreya Ayan, this show can work decently for a year

I agree with everything in this thread but I’m rooting for this show because I think most of the actors is this show are really good- despite the nonsense, none of them are OTT or overacting and actually show some restraint in their acting which I’m enjoying

I agree even Chandana who I hate with a virulence is so hateful because Sneha Raikar has made her so believable. Only OTT actor I saw was the Naani. And Naina could tone down a bit in some scenes. I am rooting for it as well but the story needs to have some dhamakedar twists to regain lost TRP and also Colors needs to promote the show properly.

If Ishita goes for Drishyam 2 then this show will certainly be doomed.

Well I won't judge the lifespan of this show so early.. Not even 3 months and till date it was about the build up of the scenario leading to real storyline ..

As a viewer I'm not really interested in Trp but concept and execution of the storyline..Thats why I have only 2 shows in my.list of Indian shows.. Of course TSBTSP one of them and rooting for it...This show is competing with established shows so for me it's doing well.. The show have more potential tracks in store..I go through other sites where people are rooting for the lead pair and show..

Finally creatives are giving the track which audiences have been waiting for longtime ..In ITV viewers love the lead couple in one frame and here they have taken it slowly and steadily...

Now Anjol will be together and their life journey will start .. Hopefully the creatives team execute this new track well with a little more positiveness though the negativity will be there as chatterjee/Mukherjee not going anywhere..let's enjoy it on a positive note...

Agreed. Show won’t survive long. Their most well known cast member’s character Kajol has suddenly been made to take a 180 degree turn and turned into a mute person who always has to speak through the male lead. She broke off her marriage, fixed Arjun’s family and faced off the creditors all on her own. But suddenly she needs Anurag to speak for her?

People are quick to say that because Ishita was unwell, they had to give negative scene fillers but that’s not true at all. I completely disagree because even before she was unwell, all they showed was negativity and even after she returned, all we saw this week is Noina, Chondana, Priyanka and that nani being witches.

The only problem is the writers and makers. The CVs are not taking heed of the fact that they need to tone down the negative characters and chop off at least half of them. And they need to take Kajol back to how she was before. The amount of negative characters we have is just too much. And they keep adding more?

Another thing is that making Anurag the saviour in every situation won’t work. Karan Suchak doesn't have the following of let’s say a Vivian Dsena (who is even being hailed for the problematic Sirf Tum show). Karan/Anurag can’t carry this show unfortunately, so CVs need to stop making Anurag the mouthpiece of Kajol and thus weakening her character to glorify his.

Any idea about the latest TRPs of this show?

Like someone mentioned here before, I find it sad that actors who play problematic characters have such huge fan following- I personally have never watched Vivian Dsena’s shows (but I have heard some real misogynistic horror stories of his shows and characters)- same with several other popular actors who I know have done problematic MLs plus have a huge fan following for it, and although TSBTSP’s story arc is not progressive as had been initially promised, I still find ML Anurag’s character to be palatable and actually healthy. This is another reason I want this show to work, because I’m really tired of watching toxic masculinity and violence being branded as passionate and romantic and getting TRP seetis for it, and I’m really enjoying the underlying respect that Anjol’s bonding is based on. I know this show has too many negative characters for its own good but personally I would any day choose a show with an ML whose respectful attitude is highlighted, and would certainly not want to watch a show which may have a lot of fun and positivity but has a problematic ML being passed off as romantic.

Last instance where I watched a (comparatively) healthy ML was Adarsh in Dahleez and even that show did not last long, but I’m hearing Anuj from Anupamaa is a rare progressive wonder on ITV which is doing great as well

First things first.

Makers need to turn around Kajol back to the Kajol who single handedly broke off her marriage with Arjun. They need to show Kajol slowly gaining her confidence back and STOP crying all the time for heavens sakes.....its irritating AF 🤬🤬

Kajol should stop crying for this useless family. I dont mind Anurag being her support system, coz we know they will end up as husband and wife. Husbands are supposed to stand by their wives, but Kajol should now also try to get up from her grief, tell this family to FU** OFF and move forward in becoming independent.

Second : Makers should get rid of unneccesay characters good or bad !!!

Bad: 1st one that needs to go is : ANURAGS NANI

2nd one tht needs to go : PRIYANKA AND HER FRIEND

3rd tht needs to go : THE USELESS MUKHERJEE SIBLINGS .

If they dont want to get rid of the Mukherjee siblings, let them do something for heavens sakes instead of making them stand in every episode like a bunch of losers. They could hv very well only leave Noyna as a sibling, becoz she gets all the attention.

I dont have a problem with Anurag supporting Kajol, but him being her speaking " tongue" at every instance is also irritating. A woman should speak up for herself even if its against her own parents / family, especially when her DIGNITY is being questioned and assasinated let alone outsiders. Here all Kajol does is crying buckets of tears enough to fill an ocean. Its irritating now at this point.

I have come to appreciate Karan as Anurag...he is doing a decent job. And I would prefer an Anurag anytime above any toxic male / guy no matter which ACTOR plays such character or how much fan following he has. TOXIC IS TOXIC...period

Infact the negativity started with Chondana making a 360 U turn after Bishu's death. If they so wanted to make her negative for drama, they could hv made her less toxic.

The only way I see for Chondana is her death, becoz this character has become irredeemable totally. No maafi can make up for what she is doing.

And they should start turning things around if they want to survive. There has been enough delay already.

Then we have a shaadi tht is long overdue now, Durga Pujo is finished : GET ARJUN AND NOYNA MARRIED already !!

Plus what happened with CREDITORS. This period of 20 days tht Uttam gave is still running ??

I agree with each and every sentence of yours. The problem is the negativity in the show and they arenot at all focussing on the concept of the show. There is no need to show much of Naina and Chandana's crap. They have made both the maa-beti duo far from redemption.

If they focus on Kajol, Anurag and Arjun, it could have been more interesting. But no, Leena Gangopadhay is such a psychopath who shows women in an extremely bad light. Now the IMDB review was correct. It has nothing to offer rather than its regressive story of Bhabhi-Devar and Jija-Saali relationships.

No one is saying that there is anything wrong with Anurag’s character being supportive or that the show needs to be all about Kajol and not him. Guys read the post properly and understand it’s context at least. Also, toxic is toxic 100% agreed.

We are talking about trps here and why most probably the show won’t survive. And no one is saying to not show Anurag as a support system. But for the show to do well, they need to chop off extra negative characters and make Kajol stronger. Anurag can keep on supporting her but currently he is her mouthpiece while she stands mute. That needs to stop.

And even if some of you don’t like me saying it, the truth remains that the male lead alone cannot carry the show. Sorry. Especially where people expected to see the FL’s journey and eventually Anjol. They need to make the FL stronger. Period.
