UPDATE 04/04/08


Archana is angry to see selvam at the door step. selvam says he came to see vinod. Archana says not to lie and that he came only to see her.
Selvam says not like that.
Archana says to get lost as she hates to see his face.
Selvam leaves unhappy and disappointed.

Little comdey scene btwn revathi and her father..that she gave rs 10000 to him and father arguing that he did not recieve.

Selvam reaches home and bhagyam says she came to know abt the news that vinod came ..she asks selvam what happened when he went to see him in his house?
Selvamsays nothing like that and he did not go to anyones house.
bhagyam says good for u..u shud not go pa..we r mapillai's house and we shud not go begging.
Sister finds out selvam is lying and asks what happened.
selvam finally accepts the truth to sister and tells everything. he leaves. sister feels pity for him.

vinod and kavya speak upstaris abt the financiar cumming ..kavya apologises as its because of her only anna went to see selvam and all happened like this.
Vinod says its ok. both discuss abt their lost jobs and future plans.

vinod head for an interview in a concern and the manager is pleased with his records. he is asked to wait outside.
just then a known person of vinod( I think he is his ex boss or something..forgot to see who it was..) goes inside manager's room and both talk. vinod is sitting ouside tensed abt the result of his interview!!

MONDAY:

selvam only comes to the office..

finally under his recommendation vinod gets the job..

first vinod thinks selvam only spoiled but later when he knows he goes to workshop to apologise to selvam.

To his workshop comes some enemies (moped robbers) and fight with selvam. vinod also helps selvam.

Apart from this , drunk appa creates fraud with bagyam and steals vasu's salary money and goes.

this whole week was just blah blah blahs..thats y i dint take much interest..
here is ajist till this friday

*jayanthi's mom meets selvam in hospital while nandhini cums to see him.. both have indirect quarrels.
*Vinod slowly changes his opinion abt jayanthi..
*Archana meets a old friend of hers working in construction site.. friend tells her situtation she's facing after staying at home after marriage.
*vinod has to pay for malligai baki of archana's marriage. kavya brings her money and lends it.
she advices mom to send archana back to selvam. VDU gets angry and gives her money back.
*selvam reaches home from hospital.
*drunken father creates comedy by stealing vasu's money.
*vasu arranges his friends to beat his father ..
Thats all pa for this week

as of 30th april....

selvam periyappa has ask archana family to decide whether they want to send archana to live with selvam.
if their answer is no... then he ask them to return the thali archana is wearing.

A brief update of may 14th and 15th:

Nandini offers Sindamani sweet and tells her all of Jayanthi's & her plans to separate Selvam and his wife have backfired and now Archana is in her hubby's place. Now Sinda gives a villi smile and says Archana is only staying there but she will see to it that they will not a have a happy life together. More challenges and counters and Nandini throws some money for the soft drinks on an irritated Sinda's face and leaves.

Vasu/Tinku is going into a building and at the same time Revathy and her friend are waiting for the lift. When Revathy sees Vasu, she refuses to enter and her friend drags her in. Revathy is all kadu kadu and as she is leaving the lift, an envelope drops down which Vasu dutifully picks up and returns to the friend. The friend is all praise for the man's gesture and asks Revathy to thank him. Revathy turns around to find that Vasu had already walked away.

Archana gets ready to go out and Selvam with the enthusiasm of a new husband(sigh.. 😆 ) wipes the pillion seat. Archana refuses to go by bike and asks for an auto, but her sil and mil convince her to go in Selvam's bike. Archu is kadu kadu personified , but Selvam has all filmy dreams 😉 . He stops to buy her flowers which she reluctantly accepts. They reach her parent's place and Selvam is downright neglected by Arch or her mother from that moment. Only fil and bil manage the situation by inviting him in. Selvam feels so neglected.

Today, we are put through a tortorous episode of how Sivagami insults her son in law, Selvam through the entire course of South Indian Virundu, with a mute & not so affected Archana at his side and the helpless others looking embarassed, with the exception of Jayanthi who keeps goading Selvam in an effort to get him blow the fuse. Selvam refuses to give into her wicked plans and puts up a patient front.

Selvam's drunkard father chases the assistants from the mechanic shop in search of his son with the pretext that his wife is seriously injured in a kitchen accident. The men understands his plan and decide to take a tea break. Meanwhile the father searches the shop thoroughly and scoots away with the Public telephone hundi. The men return back and find the missing item and decide to inform Selvam.

Selvam is ready to leave as he has some work in the garage. Archana is still inside with her mother, who continues her insult. Freeze on Selvam's face.

may 16th:

Sivagami is continuing her critisizm, "periya engineer, ivar polanna factorya izhuthu moodiduvaangala?" Selvam shrinks and others continue to remain embarassed. Father somehow convinces Sivagami to give thaamboolam to both. Vendaa veruppa she gives to Selvam. Suddenly she takes ill and falls down. Everybody is anxious and she is laid on bed. She wakes up to find a worried Archana still there and insists her daughter should remain there and polambifies that she may aswell breath her last in her daughter's madi. Selvam meekily says Archana can stay there and he wud pick her up the next day. Archana still maintains a kadu kadu towards him. Father in law sees Selvam off.

Bagyam is worried Selvam and wife hv not returned back before vilakku veikkum neram and is pacing like a kutti potta poonai. Her daughter tries pacifying her. Selvam returns back. Bhagyam jumps on him when she finds out Archana has not come back, "You have started taking your own decisions after a mere 2 days with ur new wife, no respect for me and if you yourself don't respect me, how would anyone else respect me and so on..." - this seemed so natural to me, a mother always has this fear when a son gets married 😃 . Selvam's sis asks her mother why she is blowing up a small issue and to give dinner to Selvam. Bhagyam says Selvam must hv had a big virundu and asks her daughter to throw the food. Poor Selvam goes to bed empty?? stomach and fills it with water 😉.

Jayanthi meets her mom and discusses how soranai ketta manushan 😃 Selvam is, as Sinda is preparing chappathis on a kadai (I hv never tried this, try panni parkanum 😛 ). Sinda wonders how Jayanthi lost a good opportunity, but Jayanthi says as she is playing from inside & her position is like walking on tight rope and has to plan her moves without raising anyone's suspicions. She is sure that Selvam would have remained tight lipped with his mother, but Sinda ensures she would inform Bhagyam about the incident. Poor Jayanthi leaves without having her chappathi ( amma sabji pannalaiyo? 😆 ) as Sinda looks on with a determined look - freeze

may 19th:

Drunkard fathe gets up with a severe head ache and wonders how he can get money for another cutting to cure his ache. His daughter comes there and asks if she can give him some thailam. The father asks her 30 Rs for medicine. The girl asks Selvam for the money. Selvam gets very angry and starts shouting at his father. Bhagyam comes in support of her husband and paanjufies on Selvam himself - the father drinking or stealing is nothing new and Selvam has started disrespecting his father only after the arrival of his wife ( she maintains her stand 😃 ). Selvam now explains his mother how the hundi got stolen. Still Bhagyam is firm on her stand. Selvam is upset his mother is not understanding him properly. The sis pacifies the brother and asks him to bring Arch back from her house.

After Selvam leaves, Bhagyam turns all her anger on her husband and views the thodappakattai at the corner. Drunkie hubby cannot understand the quick change of moods. Bhagyam makes it clear that she acted out in front of Selvam to send a warning - "Show respect and see that ur parents are not insulted, so the new girl wud also show respect". She urges her hubby to take up a job , so that marumagal will madhichufy him else only midichufy 😃. Father peela uttufies that he wud become a very successful businessman and leaves.

Revathy and friend are coming by scooty, which suddenly stops. They both walk looking for a mechanic shop. VAsu comes with his water cans and the friend asks for help. Vasu silently leaves the place. Revathy gets irritated. After few mins, a mechanic comes and gets her vandi repaired. He says Vasu gave him the scooty number and the money in advance. Revathy is impressed.

Bhagyam is alone when Sinda walks in. Rendu perum akka akka nu ore paasa mazhai ( manasukkule rendu perum 'neramnu' sollikittu irukkanum). After beating around the bush and Bhagyam's curiosity has sky rocketed, Sinda starts with "selvamai vaa nu kooda oru varthai koopidalai" - Freeze on Bhagyam

Satish has made his entry in the serial !

May 20th :

Continuation from yesterday - kuralile ella ettra thaazhvoda,Sinda puttu puttu veikara - how Selvam was humiliated the previous day. Bhagyam, kannile neruppu parakka , immediately gets up to goto Sivagami's place, but Sinda stops her. She says Bhagyam also has to reciprocate in the same manner instead of an open show down.

Meanwhile Selvam goes happily back to Archana's place ( nejamave soodu soranai illai than pola irukku 😃 ). Only Jayanthi and father-in- law are there. Jayanthi needles him whether he would have tiffin or atleast coffee. Selvam politely refuses saying he already had and is in a hurry to open the shed. He asks for Archana, but learns she has gone to hospital with Sivagami and wouldn't return for atleast another hour. He is in a dilemma, when Jayanthi invites him for lunch with a promise to make special items after the previous day's ragalai. After that Selvam can take Archana. Fatherinlaw falls for it and compels Selvam. Selvam meekly agrees ( nethu vaanginadhu pathalai pola irukku 😉 ). As he is leaving, he decides to inform his mother and calls her. Sinda and Bhagyam are drinking coffee( think so) , when the call comes. Bhagyam's blood boils to hear that Selvam is going back for lunch and before she could protest, he has disconnected. Now Sinda makes use of this info and fuels the fire- that it is Sivagami's plan to gradually make Selvam into a 'veetoda maapillai'. Bhagyam agains jumps up, but Sinda calms her down and gives her a plan - muted dialogues.

Here is where Satish makes an entry - Nandhini is in a supermarket and as her dress knocks off a bottle from the shelf, a hand catches it - none other than our co-member Satish 😊. Kandadhum kaadhala ? 😃 - Satish , we still donot know ur screen name. Meanwhile a local Romeo misbehaves with another female customer, Nandhini displays her 'sandals-talent' on him😆. Bottle -catcher😉 is impressed and decides to follow Nandhini's scooty in his bike. Nandhini realises that she is being followed and wonders if she should show case her talents once again😃 - freeze

may 21st - what i got from my friend

'Tamizh chezian' (nice name, Satish) follows Nandini for some distance, stops her and gives his love application. Nandini is very angry, but when he says he wud be a good grandpa to her grand kids and also a good father to her kids, she laughs, but rejects his application saying she is already married and has 2 kids.

Drunkard father is fooled by a waste collector into begging at a street corner. As Selvam starts to leave for Archana's house, Bhagyam comes there with his lunch.

may 22nd:

Bhagyam calls back Selvam and asks him to have his lunch. Selvam hesitates that he has to goto Arch's house as they will be waiting. But Bhagyam tells him she knows everything. Since Selvam trusts everyone ( veluthadhellam paal - ippo paalile ethanai kalapadam with some flour!) , he cannot see through Sivagami's plans. She advises him - 'madiyaadhar vaasalai midikka vendaam' and stops him from going to Arch's place. Let them bring back the daughter.

Meanwhile Jayanthi had made elaborate arrangements. Mother and daughter return from hospital and learn Selvam is coming for lunch. Sivagami starts her thittu. Archana is a mute observer.

Drunkard father sees an advt and goes to some agent who promises to make successful entrepreneurs. It turns out to be candle making , the father is impressed and starts day dreaming.Finally when the agent ask him to sign a contract and pay cash, drunkie crash lands.

All are waiting in Arch's house and Jayanthi pretends to call Selvam and dials some random number. She tells the anxious father that Selvam is actually very upset with them all - freze on a frowning Sivagami
