Hi Vani Akka, long time no see. Great to see you!

Well here is my say on this two thread system.

I personally feel that this in no way is restricting any member's freedom 😊! This initiative was put forth by the DT's to make a better environment for many! In the past, TMS underwent extensive discussion sessions, it was very much enjoyable 👏👏. However, it was always difficult to open up the pages due to difficulty in loading and second of all, it was hard to find the updates 😭. TMS is a popular show and there are many followers, some who love to take part in the discussion, and others due to lack of time can't! Hence, I believe that this is a great system to make lives easier for majority.

Secondly, I've always felt that our Tamil DT's have been generous in many instances. To my knowledge, they've only taken action if some one breached the IF codes by bashing another member/ actor. However, in almost all other sections in and around IF, DT's will take action immediately for unnecessary discussions ' considering it as spamming by posting a mod note! I feel we're lucky they don't do that here in our tamil section....😊

We can at least cooperate with them and try this new initiative for a short period 😊! It is a matter of trying first and then sharing our views on the initiative. From what I see, all Meli meant was avoid long quotings only, and continue with our discussions on the other thread. Hence, I believe that we fans of TMS should give this new initiative a try and if people still find it difficult I'm sure our DT's will take our views into consideration after the trial period 😊!!!

This is purely my view and have no intensions in hurting anyone's feelings! Hope I have not offended anyone with my post... 😊!

@ Samyuktha: Welcome to TMS section daa 😊. Archana believes whatever Selvam says/ does, since according to her, whatever he does it for the betterment. Hence she doesn't say anything about him helping or supporting his family. She trusts him a lot, and I hope to see Selvam trusting her as well in the same manner 😊.

Aish, I read what Vani had written and I can understand what she is talking about, because I also just end up reading the update, without making a comment because that means I have to go back to the Discussion forum and select the Discussions thread, and you know how lazy I am! I think you should take a poll and if the discussions drops off a whole lot, then you should come up with a way to make it easier for one to write a comment, maybe come up with a button that will take you directly to the discussions thread. Since all of you are so good with technology, I am sure you can figure out a way to go from one thread to another without having to go back to the main Discussion page. This is just my two cents' worth.

Eljya maa, that is a great idea regarding adding a link directing to the discusion thread maa 👏. In fact, for Uravugal updates, we're already started providing the hyperlink to the discussion thread under the updates so readers can directly go to the discussion section naa 😊. Because naanum onga category thaan maa 😆😆.... lazy thaan 😳😳😳

great suggestion eljay.......as aish mentioned we have started in Uravugal giving the link.....and we can do that for TMS too......

When you say ....as above you have to back to the discussion thread.......don't you think that is much easier going from page to page without knowing which page is the update is posted eljay? however your idea of giving link to the discussion thread in each day update is great......it will be done that way......

Actually i disagree with you aish,

You mentioned the two threads will make the life easier for the majority. Can we take an eg here...the thread of TMS for the first week of june (1st-5th June) over 5000 views, ok we leave half of it as repeated views, now 2500. But only 66 comments posted in there. So making life easier means, the members who has no time to participate in the discussions, take in account more than the members who actually participate there??? 😕,

And in TMS i haven't seen, any of the members complained that they need to go page by page for the updates. Im here for around two years, but never seen any of the TMS fans complained like that, as a matter of fact, members didnt tired of quote a comment that posted 3,4 pages back.

When a system works fine what is the need for introducing a new one and testing it? What is the need?? The answer may be for neet and tidiness. But for members like me, IF and specially TMS section is like a home. I guess most of the members who participate in the discussions feel like that, because we used to welcome the new members "Welcome to TMS FAMILY or Welcome to TMS World". A home may be a little messy, it is allowed to be messy, because that is the sign people live there. Unlike a museum, there only things are in order with the missing of liveliness.

The introduction of the two threads resembles a military organization to me, its like,,..the members who wanted to read update go this way......and the members who like to comment on it go the other way....When the members contribute their views and comments, it comes actually from their spontaneous thinking, that needs freedom, can't get honest views and opinions by implementing rules unnecessarily.

IF is a forum, and the founders owned it. But in a different sense, IF is like a community, here we have friends, sisters, brothers, mum-daughter like relations it goes on and on....when someone behaves inappropriately, the rest of the members stoodup for the affected one and give emotional support. Though most of us don't know the rest of the member's personal details. Its like a happy family. All I ask from the DTs to, Please allow us to remain as we were earlier, rather than implement new systems and tested it.
