March 17 (Tues):

The two naradhar ladies go to Mangai's house and tell both Sindha and Mangai about seeing Bharath giving Jayanthi a ride on the from of hte bicycle. They tell Mangai not to allow Jayanthi to move closely with her husband lest she takes him away from her. Mangai and Sindha tell the ladies to shut up and get lost as he knows about her husband, Bharath comes back and listens to this and smiles at Mangai for her reply to the ladies.

Ram is the line telling someone to hold his deposit for new new office until he tells him otherwise. Kasthuri comes there and asks for Jothi. Ram tells her she is not home and has gone to the temple and why she wants his mother. Kasthuri tells him she wants to take her to Masil. Ram tells her Jothi will not go and even if she does he will not let her. Kasthuri argues that he is talking about his father. Ram says Masil is not his father but his enemy and that he will never leave him in peace. Kasthuri tries to tell Ram not to alk about his father like that but no use. Kasthuri leaves.

Jayanthi is happily running home. She arrives and Mangai and her mother tells Jayanthi to get ready as some people are there to see ponnu. Jayanthi goes in and gets dressed. Someone opens the door and she see her boyfriend Thiagu (imagination) and smiles. Once she is ready, her sister telsl her to go to the front and greet the visitors. Jayanthi goes in and greets them but is shocked to see someone else as the maapillai. She drops the tray and runs inside. The maapilai's family gets insulted and start scolding Jayanthi saying she has no respect and if she does not agree should just tell them and not trrow the tray and run off. Mangai, Bharath and Sindha try to calm them but they leave angry.

Masil and Vishva are talking. Masil tells Vishva he needs to see a alawyer to change his will - that after Kasthuri the wealth should go to her children and no one else. He tells Vishu by doing this, Ram will not be able to get his hands on the wealth. Masil also tell Vishu he wants to propose Thiru for Kasthuri. He says it would be easy for him to talk to Thiru and even his approval but he is afraid Kasthuri may not be agreeable. Kasthuri walks in with Kavya. Masil asks her to sit down and tells her to make an appointment to see a lawyer to change the will. THODARUM.

Update for 18th march

Masil and Viswanathan with Kasturi. Masil wants to change the will so that Kasturi is not cheated. Kasturi remembers Ram saying that he wil not do the last rites for his father and so she says that she has a suggestion and Masil should listen to her. Masil says he will listen if it is good for her. Kasturi says she has come to a conclusion that the property should be given to Ram. Masil is furious and says that he is no longer his son and why give him anything when even the courts have decided. kasturi says as per manassacchi Ram should get it. Masil feels that a traitor like Ram should not benefit and what Ram accused about his mental stability will seem true now. Viswanathan and masil try to convince her but she goes away saying she will not even take pachai thanni till they agree. (idukkudan IF la vaathu nnu nickname vecchangu pola)
Masil is worried and Viswanathan calms him down.

Jayanthi tells mangai and her mum that she doesnt want this wedding. They ask why and she says she cant tell them what she has in her mind. they explain it's a good proposal but she doesnt listen. Mum is worried and crestfallen as her daughter humiliated her in front of the mapillai's people. Mangai says they should find out what Jayanthi wants and do accordingly. Jayanthi comes and asks her mother to forgive her and says she will work and then get married. The family decides to consider Jayanthi's marriage when she is ready and Jayanthi promises to look for a job.

Kasturi sitting on the cot and lost in deep thoughts. (pachai thanni kooda illa pola) Viswanathan comes with food and kasturi refuses to eat. She explains that she wants to give the property to Ram keeping Masil's safety in mind as it could become a threat to his life.She feels guilty about taking another's property. She has now understood that Ram didnot reject cos she wasnt beautiful cos he is not even living with Rekha who is beautiful. Life has taught her a lot of things and she wants her Father-in-law to appear as a person who does good to even those who do bad to him and that he is the greatest gift she has in this life. Masil who is listening to this is moved to tears.

Update for 19th March

Masil walks in and agrees to do as Kasturi wishes and asks her to go and give away the property documents to Ram. Kasturi wants Masil to go along and give it with his own hands. (idhu too much thaan) Masil refuses to even see his face but Kasturi prevails on him to come along and Masil agrees and asks her to eat.

Jothi is sitting worried and Ram is trying to comfort her. Viswanathan, amirtha, kasturi and masil arrive. Initially Masil refuses to go in but is persuaded by Kasturi to come in. Jothi invites them but Masil says he hasnt come to see her but that despite winning the case in the court Kasturi wants to give the property to Ram (oru long vyakyanam from Masil.. i have skipped it 😕) Pulls out the property documents from the bag and drops it on the floor. Puts his shoulder thundu (i dont know what its called actually) in front of it and says that whoever wants property can stay at the other side and whoever wants him can come to his side. Ram steps ahead as if he is going to cross over to the other side but stops last minute and picks up the document and laughs wickedly. Shows the papers to his mother who is in tears and Jothi rushes to Masil's side and holds his legs asking him to forgive her and accept her. Masil refuses to listen but after some drama (have skipped some heavy dialogue which was too much for poor me to translate) agrees to take her with him.
Jothi scolds Ram that he is worse than a dog for not showing nandri (late realisation... but should we say better late than never) and goes with the rest.
Ram is laughing wickedly as he now has the property for himself.

Masil is sitting in deep thoughts. Jothi brings him medicine and milk and he taunts her saying he doesnt want to get used this cos he doesnt know when she would go away to Ram. Jothi says she will never go to Ram after Masil was insulted like this.

Updates for 20th March

Masil asks Jothi why she is here as Kasturi has given away all property. Jothi weeps bitterly and seeks forgiveness. Masil comforts her.

Rekha and her mum with Josiar. Josiar says Rekha's and Ram's horoscopes match but the wedding date was not good and suggests that they perform marukalyanam(Ram madiri characterkku idellam thevaya theriyalai...) for Ram and Rekha next friday and leaves. Mum asks Rekha if she is ok with it, but Rekha says there is no need and that Ram can come to their house to start their new life on that day. Says thats enough considering Ram's character which is not good (why live with a characterless person like him then??😕)
Ram enters saying he has happy news and says he has got the property from Kasturi. Rekha asks how he got it after he lost the case. Ram says Kasturi gave it cos she was worried she would lose the case in a higher court and that the court had decided in Kasturi's favor only cos Masil and Viswanathan spoke sentimentally. He wants to hand it over to Rekha but Rekha refuses as she doesnot want sentiments in property matters and leaves.
Rekha's mum tells Ram about the proposed marukalyanam with Rekha and Ram asks if Rekha has agreed. She says she wants to speak to Jothi and Ram suggests that she speak to Jothi alone when she is away from home.

Thiru on phone about going to Singapore via Mumbai. He tells Kasturi that he is leaving to Singapore and will wind up his business there and come here to settle. However it will take sometime to finish winding up there, He says that he is going to start business here which will be looked after by Kasturi.(Folks....lot of vetti pecchi.. have skipped the loose talk) Kasturi says she has asked Ganesh and Amirtha to look out for jobs and that she would also follow suit. Thiru says no need as she is going to look after his business.

Ganesh calls out to Viswanath for tea. Ram comes in and tells Ganesh that he has got the property now that was rightfully his and taunts Ganesh that he will take salary from him now. Informs and invites Ganesh to his marukalyanam with Rekha (romba mukkiyam....) Viswanathan comes in and glares at him and says that he is moving too fast in life and thats why he is talking like this. Ganesh says that now kodi and kodi are coming together (Ram and Rekha). Ganesh goes on to say he will not work for Ram even if it means he has to beg for a living. Ram taunts that even Kasturi will look for a job in his company. Viswanathan is angry and curses Ram that he will be destroyed and he is benefitting cos of his parents' punyam. Ram says something disgusting at this point. He says he wants to confide now that though he dint like Kasturi earlier she is appealing now after singapore cosmetic surgery and wouldnt mind her as his keep (😡) Viswanath is furious and Ganesh intervenes to separate them.

Jothi and Rekha's mum in a temple. Asks Jothi and Masil to come for the marukalyanam. Jothi is firm and says she will come only if Masil comes. Rekha's mum wants her to convince Masil. Jothi agrees but says she will not do anything against Masil's wishes now. They leave.

Masil meets Thiru and wants to say something to him. Masil says that after taking away all the property from Kasturi, Ram is asking for the house as well. Thiru says Kasturi has told him and also how much she reveres Masil. Masil says that he regrets having a son like that and so wants to repent by getting Kasturi married. He asks Thiru if he will marry her. Thiru is SHOCKED.

March 23 (Mon):

Masil asks Thiru why not he marry Kasthuri. Thiru is shocked and says that Kasthuri thinks of him as a 'gentleman' and what would she think of him if he asks her to marry him. Masil says it is nothing wrong. Kavya only knows Kasthuri as her mom and no one else can take that place. Masil tells Thiru he has already asked Kasthuri before and wants Thiru to pop the question this time and this might change Kasthuri's mind. Masil asks Thiru to really think about it and help him to make Kasthuri's life secured and happy.

Amirtha visits her friend (can't remember the name) and they talk about Kasthuri. Amirtha tells her friend she wants to go back to nursing. Friend asks why not work in another IT company but Amirtha says she wants job satisfaction more than the money involved. Amirtha wants to go back to the hospital she worked for before and ask the Chief Doctor for a job. Friend tells Amirtha to rest for a few days before taking up a job but Amirta wants to do it the next day.

Jothi praying at the temple with Masil waiting outside. Jothi asks about Masil's decision on going for Ram-Rekha's wedding. Masil refuses saying he does not even think of Ram as a son. He tells Jothi he is surprised that Jothi has not realized Ram's true colors even after the way he had treated them when they were suffering. It was Kasthuri who had stepped forward to help them when they were in need when Ram who is their SIL has laughed and belittled them. He tells Jothi that Radha and Rekha will suffer more after this. Jothi tells Masil not to talk about their son like that and Masil gets angry and asks who is the son. He had thrown him out of his mind and heart when he chose wealth over him. Masil tells Jothi to go if she wants to, but he will not. Jothi says she will not go where Masil doesn't. Masil laughs and tells Jothi not to lie as she had left him and gone to her son's when he had told her not to and had done what she had set out to do. Jothi looks at him and Masil tells her to go if she wants to and not to talk about Ram to him ever,

Thiru waits for Kasthuri and when she comes, he tells her he has to leave for Singapore to sell his business and property there and will only be back in a month. He tells Kasthuri he is taking Kavya with him as Kasthuri has to concentrate on her business. Kasthuri tells him it is not a problem and that Kavya has school. Thiru says it is ok and it is not a problem for him if Kavya is with him. Thiru then pops the question - why not they get married. He says Ram and Rekha are getting married and will live happily and why not them. Kasthuri is shocked and says she did not expect Thiru to ask her this. Thiru explains that Ram had left her and never took care of her and his wife is dead and both of them are alone. He asks Kasthuri what is so wrong about them getting married. He tells her they should continue with their life and not live for those who never thought of them. Kasthuri thinks. THODARUM.

Radha sees Vishu sleeping in the temple and wakes him up. She asks him why he is sleeping there. Vishu says he feels at peace there. Radha tells Vishu that Ram and Rekha will remarry and wants him to bless Rekha. Vishu says if Rekha is marrying someone otehr than Ram, he will but asks how Radha can get Rekha married to Ram even after knowing about him. Radha says if Rekha does not have a child her decision would be different but since she has a son, she has to get back with Ram. Vishu tells Raddha he hopes both mother and daughter will be happy and leaves.

Kasthuri and Kavya playing ball. Kavya gets excited and Kasthuri tells her enough play and for Kavya to rest but she refuses. She asks Kashturi to pitch and shbats. The ball hits Kasthuri's forehead and Kavya gets worried. Thiru returns and Kavya tells him about the accident. Kasthuri says it is nothing.

Jayanthi brings her certificate and show to her mother. Mother is happy but feels sad that her husband is not there to see it. Sindha wants Jayanthi to work if she wants and if a good proposal comes, will get her married. Bharath says no need for that as Jayanthi should further her studies but Sindha objects saying that it is not safe to keep a young girl in the house. Jayanthi just keeps quiet.

Kasthuri telsl both Masil and Jayanthi that they do not own anything. She says that in the olden days, people thought with wealth they are safe but now it is not so. She tells Masil and Jothi they will all go and stay at Thiru's new home. Masil says how they can go to Thiru's house when they are not related. Masil asks if Thiru spoke with her and she says yes. Masil asks her what is her decision. Kasthuri says she is not interested. Jothi also tells Kasthuri to marry Thiru. Masil too tells her the same. Kasthuri says if she gets married both Masil and Jothi will leave her so she does not want to get married. Masil tells Kasthuri if she marries Thiru, they will live with her forever. Kasthuri tells Masil she does not want go against him and leaves. Masil tells Jothi it is no use them talking to her anymore and decides to ask Vishu to talk to Kasthuri.

A man (new face) is shown walking the streets. He looks very tired and is about to faint. He walks a few more steps and stops holding a pole. THODARUM.

March 26(Thurs):

The new guy sees a white minivan approaching and walks infron ot it. The driver stops in time and tells he man off for trying to kill himself by falling at his vehicle. The man walk away and sees a bus and when the bus starts walks infront of it, The driver gets down and scolds the man along with the others. Amirtha who is waiting at a bus-stop nearby and comes to his rescue. The tells the people to leave him alone and takes him away. Kasthuri is praying and her father waits for her. After praying, Kasthuri goes to her father and asks why not he pray with her. Vishu tells her he will pray when his wish comes true. She asks what it is and he tells her about Masil's request to her about marrying Thiru.

Kasthuri gets up. Vishu too gets up and seeing Kasthuri quiet, he tells her not only Masil but he too wants her to marry Thiru. He tells her he did not know about Ram but he knows about Thiru and says her life would be better if she marries Thiru. Kasthuri says she is afraid of marriage and wants to live alone as she feels she is living a problem free life. Vishu tells her not to talk like that and that even Thiru wants to marry her. Kasthuri says to her "thali" should only go up around a girl's neck once. Vishu says Ram and Rekha wold be living a good family life and he wants her to have the same with Thiru. Vishu says that is the only thing he wants from her and that he will die peacefully knowing she has settledown in her life. He tells her to make a good decision and leaves Kasthuri crying.

The suicidal man is sitting in a bus-stop. Amirtha who is travelling in an auto spots him and goes to him and asks what he is doing there and if he is still trying to commit suicide. She asks him what his problem is. The man says hunger and that he has not eaten for days. Amirtha feels sorry for him and asks him to follow her. The man hesitates but Amitha insists.

Amitha takes him to a restaurant and buys him food to eat (Pizza and coke!). The man eats like he has not seen food in a long time. Amirtha says his hunger problem has been solved, what is his next problem. The man says work. Amirtha says that is not only his problem but everyone's in the country. She asks about his education. The man asks if he tells her, will she get him a job. Amirtha tells him to just answer. The man says he has done a course on pharmacy. Amirtha tells him to see her the next day at the hospital she is working. The man asks her name and she tells him and says his name is Sanjeevi. Ram and Rekha getting re-married in a temple. He ties 'Thali' to Rekha and seek blessing by falling at Radha's feet. The priest tells the couple to go around the temple.

Soma is playing cards with his friends. Soma laughs and says he always uses the right card at the right time. Balu runs to them and gives them sweets. Soma asks why the sweets and Balu says Rekha and Ram has got married. Soma tells them to stop eating the sweet. He tells them he will not allow Rekha and Ram live happilly. Soma says Rekha is very smart and well educate and will not easily accept Ram. He feels she is using Ram to get all evidence to send Soma to jail for good. THODARUM.

March 27 (Fri):

After praying, Kasthuri waits for thiru to come downstairs. Thiru comes and tells Kasthuri the doctor has informed that Kavya may be able to get a heart transplant soon. He tells her he will be leaving Kavya with Kasthuri when he leaves for Singapore. Kasthuri then informs him that she had thought about his proposal and has now decided to accept. Thiru is very happy and tells her they will get married after he comes back from his trip to Singapore. Thisru asks if she had informed her father and Masil or he can tell them if she wants him to. Kasthuri tells him she will gie them the news as this is the only happiness she can give them.

Ram is all very happy and waits for Rekha in the room (2nd First Night). Rekha comes in with milk and he aks he to sit and closes the door. Rekha drinks the milk and Ram quickly takes the other cup and drinks. He tells Rekha he is very happy. Rekha just looks at him. Ram says he is happy that he has got his wealth and now Rekha and wants to sign everything over in her name. Rekha tells him to keep his money as the wealth her father left her is enough with her. She tells him she will be starting her father's company the next day and if he can help to take care of it would be enough. Ram immediately tells her to show him what to do and he will. Ram tries to put his hands on Rekha's shoulder and she stops him.

Ram is surprised and shocked. He asks what is wrong. Ram says he had been saddened by their separation and only now is happy and says that he is always faithful and truthful to her. Rekha says she is still hurt by what Ram had done before and has not forgotten it. Ram says it was before and he has changed and will be true to her. She then recollects the everthing Ram did and said to her and her mother. Ram just looks at her. Rekha says she has still not accepted him but married him because of her mother. She tells him she doesn't trust him yet. Ram looks at her wth shock. THODARUM

March 30 (Mon):

Continued from Friday. Rekha tells Ram, it is up to him to change her mind about him and for them to live happily as husband and wive. She tells Ram, she wants Soma to be hanged for murdering her father and Ram must help her. She says she knows he is still has connection with Soma, who is enjoying life in the hospital intead of serving time in jail. Ram denies having connection with Soma but Rekha refuses to believe him. She then puts the pillow and blanket on the floor. Ram tells her not to sleep on the floor and Rekha says don't worry it is not for her but for him and goes to sleep onth bed .

Soma is with his buddies in the hospital garden. Ram visits him and Soma asks if the wedding went on well. Ram says yes. Soma asks what about hte nuptial night an laughs saying nothing owuld have happen as Rekha would have told him to help her to hang Soma. Ram is shocked. Soma says he knows how educated women like Rekha would think. Soma warns Ram not to go against him because it would only hurt Ram's life. Ram promises Soma he will not help Rekha.

Thiru tells Kavya and Kashturi he is leaving for Singapore. Kavya doesn't want her father to go alone but Thiru says he will return soon and they can all be together as a family again. Kasthuri tells Thiru not to worry as she will take care of Kavya until he returns.

Amirtha takes Sanjeev to see her Chief Doctor and recommends him for a job in the hospital phamacy. Sanjeev says he has lost his original certificates and shows his police report. Chief Doctor tells him he is appointed as he trusts Amirtha and tells him to submit a copy of his certificates when he gets it. Amirtha thanks the Chief for helping Sanjeev.

Tma is dressed and waits. Rekha comes down with some files and Ram says he is ready. Rekha asks for what and Ram says to meet the Minister about their company. Rekha tells him she did but now that her mother is not home and someone has to be home when Santhosh comes back from school. She tells Ram to wait for Santosh to come back, feed and take care of him while she meets witht he Minister. She asks Ram if it is ok with him, Ram has no choice but to say yes. Rekha leaves a fuming Ram. Bharath and Jayanthi walking. Sauddenly Jayanthi feels fainth. THODARUM.
