Bharath and Mangai at the pawnshop. The shop owner is weighing the gold and tells them he can give only $140,000. Bharath asks for $150000 but is refused. Mangai wants to pawn her Thali kodi but Bharath stops her saying they are only $10,000 short and he will arrange. The man gives the money and tells themt o pay interest every three months, if not their gold would be sold. Bharath promises to pay interest in time, takes money and leaves with Mangai on their bicycle (Odane yanakku uru nyabagam - Annamalai song! Rajni and Kushbu). Jothi asks doctor is they can see Masil. Doctor says they can but not to strain the patient. All go in. Jothi cries and Radha tells her to stop. Masil opens his eyes and asks for Kasthuri. Radha tells him to stop talking right now. Masil wants to see Kasthuri and no one else and turns his face. Jothi, Rekha and Radha leave. Rams stays behind and looks at his father and thinks for a moment and leaves.

Sindha and Jayanthi in the kitchen. Sindha tells Jayanthi to be careful with the disches. Mangai's Citappa comes and gives Bharath $10,000. Bharath thanks him. Citappa tells Bharath to bring all the money so they back and deposit the money. Bharath tells Mangay to give the money to him because she is lucky. Mangai goes into the pooja room, prays and gives the money to her husband. The man starts to leave. One of the creditors come with flowers and want to ask Jayanthi's hand in marriage. Sindha tells them her daughter is not ready for marriage. The creditor wants Sindha to pay the loan or give ponnu. Finally Mangai takes the money and gives to the creditor. The creditor leaves with his family, happy he got the money.

Masil still in the hospital. Jothi feeding him with Ram at her side. Masil asks Jothi where Kasthuri is. Jothi and Ram keeps quiet. Masil tells Jothi to ask Kasthuri to come as he wants to see her. Ram says Kasthuri will not come anymore. Ram continues saying that they needed money for his operation and had asked Kasthuri for 2 Lakhs but Kasthuri did not give them. Instead she gave a note saying she has severed all relations with them and show Masil a the document. Masil tells Ram he was unconscious during the surgery but now he is just fine and knows everything.

Bharath talks to his friend and asks him to try for a job. The friend hesitates as Bharath is highly educated. Bharath says he will take any job available as he needs to earn a living. His friend promises to take Bharath to his boss. Rekha working on her computer. The phone rings and Rekha calls for her mother to answer. It is their maid who tells her that while bringing Santosh from the store, he met an accident. Rekha asks how Santosh is. The maid tells her that Ram was passing by and have taken Santhosh to the hospital. Rekha and Radha rush to the hospital. Santosh is being treated int he hospital. Radha and Rekha arrive and ask their maid about Santosh. She tells them that it was lucky that Ram was there on time to take Santosh to the hospiral. Rekha goes in and see her son. Doctor tells Radha that Santhosh is out of danger because Ram gave blood. Radha thanks Ram and Ram says no need to thank him because he saved his son. Rekha looks and Ram and Ram just smiles (I think Ram may have planned this so called accident!). THODARUM.

Bharath's friend tells his boss about Bharath and brings him in. The boss sees Bharath and says that he looks like a highly educated person and hesitates to give him a job. Bharath says he is willing to do any job and the boss gives the job to him. Bharath is introduces to the supervisor who shows him the work.

Rekha in the bedroom taking care of Santhosh. She is in deep thought. Downstairs, the maid prepares food. Ram and Ganesh arrive and asks for Rekha. The maid tells them Rekha is upstairs and tells them to go upstairs. Ram refuses to go upstairs and tells Ganesh to go up as he does not want to annoy Rekha who is already worried about Santhosh. Ganesh goes upstairs and sees Rekha and Santosh. He asks Rekha how the boy is and Rekha tells him he was only discharged that day and is now having a slight fever but is sleeping.

Ganesh tells Rekha Ram is downstairs waiting to see Santhosh. Rekha asks where he is and Ganesh tells her he is downstairs. Rekha asks Ganesh to call Ram upstairs. Ganesh brings Ram to the room and Rekha invites him in. Ram goes in and sits on the bed and sees Santosh. Ganesh's phone rings and he excuses himself and goes out leaving the couple with their son. Ram apologizes to Rekha saying it is his fault that Rekha had to suffer so much. He tells Rekha not to worry as Santhosh will recover soon. Rekha thanks Ram for donating blood for Santosh. Ram says this is the only good thing he did for Santosh and feels bad about the accident but says he feels happy to be given a chance to do something for his son. He continues saying he will even give his life for 'his' Santosh. He says he knows Rekha loves Santosh very much. Rekha cries and Ram tells her not to cry. Ram then says that he and she never had any problems it was others who changed her mind and heart. Ram tells her he did not want to talk about Kasthuri but has to tell her some truth. He tells her that Kasthuri wants him back and knows if Rekha and Ram got together, she will not have a chance. He then says that Rekha is not like Kasthuri who has found a rich guy in Singapore and is having an affair with him. Rekha tells Ram not to talk about Rekha. Ram apologizes and leaves. Rekha cries and after Ram leaves.

Bharath calls Mangai and tells her he is leaving for work. She tells him it is not necessary for him to do any kind of job but to wait for a good job. Bharath lies saying he is working at a computer firm. Mangai feels bad that he could not start a business. Bharath says he has to work as he has responsibilities. Mangai then asks if she too can go to work. Bharath asks where she would work. Mangai says she was working at a transportation company before marriage and can work there. Bharath asks why trouble herself. Mangai says it is okay as she too wants to earn some money. Bharath finally agrees and asks when she is going. Mangai says after he leaves.

Radha meets Kasthuri at some place. Kasthuri thanks Radha for meeting her. Radha says she feels bad about Kasthuri's situation but says life will not be the same all the time and one has to be able to face anything that comes. Kasthuri says she has faced all kinds of problem and she faced all of them because she had relations with her. Kasthuri says now she has no one. She says she is not worried about her wealth but when she has no one by her side, she feels lost. Kasthuri says that she feels bad that knowing her, Radha herself has asked her to sign a document severing all ties. Radha says it was not her decision but others and she had to tell her. Kasthuri says she knows who it is. Kasthuri says she needs to see Masil once and asks her permission. Radha says only Jothi and Ram can do that. Kasthuri says Masil is now not well and it is not proper to stop her from seeing him. Radha says she has always wanted Kasthuri to be happy and wants to tell her something and asks if she will listen. THODARUM.

Continued from yesterday. Radha tells Kasthuri that both Jothi and her family are close. Radha says Ram has also turned over a new leaf and it is good for Rekha to unite with Ram. This doesn't mean she does not care for Kasthuri. She says Kashturi is busy with her business and is not bothered about her personal life. She continues saying she want Rekha to be with Ram and this is best for her daughter. She says no man is without fault but to her a husband whether good or bad, the wife must live with him and it is fate. Radha says even Jothi wants that. She tells Kasthuri not to come between them. Radha says when Masil gets better he will surely support her and this will cause problems for them. Radha requests Kasthuri to get away from them and not to think about seeing him. This way, Masil will forget about Kasthuri and will work towards uniting Ram and Rekha. Kasthuri is shocked and hurt and says that it was Ram and Jothi who asked she severes ties with them but on the other hand Radha is asking her to leave town. Radha looks at Kasthuri with guilt written all over her face.

Radha denies asking her to go out of town but only for Kasthuri give way for Rekha. Kasthuri says she had given her husband to Rekha and now does not have anything to give. Kasthuri says they know if Masil is with her, she will be hapy and that is why they are trying to separate her and Masil. Kasthuri saysit is okay and she will not see or visit Masil. She says no one has seen God but believe in him and she too will trust and love Masil with all her heart. Radha tells Kasthuri not to cry and asks her to settle down. Kasthuri says she does not want any new relationship because even that might not last. Kasthuri promises Radha she will not come between Rekha and Ram. Radha thanks her and leaves. Kasthuri cries her heart out.

Kasthuri is discussing about starting a new company under her father's name. The manager says he has applied for license. Rekha wants to use the same office as before and asks the manager and another lady to advertise in all English papers. She wants interviews to be carried out on Sunday. Both Manager and the lady agrees and leaves. Radha comes back from the temple. Rekha tells her mother that she is starting their business from Monday. She has already appointed a Manager and a PA. Radha says she is trying to employ outsiders but is forgetting about a reliable who is at their side. Rekha asks who and Radha mentions Ram.

Rekha is quiet and has this confused look and gets up thinking. Radha asks what she is thinking. Rekha says is thinking why her mother says he is trustworthy. Radha says he is their mapillai and also he has saved her son. Rekha says Ram was not there to save him but he passed by and saw Santhosh. Radha says no one else hadd taken Santosh to hospital only Ram did and that is ratha paasam. Radha asks Rekha to think carefully and make a good decision. Radha says blood is thicker than water and they are the ones who will come to help whent hey are in trouble. She tells Rekha that it was because of Kasthuri that she disliked Ram but now Kasthuri herself had insulted her and why not Rekha accept Ram. Rekha tells her mother she will think about it.

Jothi is praying for her husbands speedy recovery and for Ram's good life. She also prays that both Ram and Masil get back together and they all live as a happy family like before. Radha meets Jothi and asks how Masil is doing. Jothi says he is doing better and will be discharged soon. Jothi asks about Santosh and is told he has recovered. Jothi says it is some curse they are always suffering. Radha says they are thankul for saving her grandson. Radha says this is Gos's will that Santosh met accident and Ram was there to save him. This would surely mean that God wants Ram and Rekha to be happily together. Jothi says that is what she wants too and says it is all up to Rekha. Radha tells Jothi that even Rekha is changing. Jothis says they need to find an auspicous day to unite them. Radha says it is not in their hands to decide Ram and Rekha unite. Jothi is confused. THODARUM.

Radha tells Jothi that it is not in their hands to unite Ram and Rekha. Radha tells Jothi, MAsil should agree wholeheartedly to this. Jothi says not to talk to Masil about this because he will not agree as he does not care about Ram. He only cares about Kasthuri and that is why the first word he uttered when he regain conciousness was 'Kasthuri'. Radha sys they must know what Masil is thinking and it is not proper to do thing ont heir own. Jothi says for her son's happiness she is willing to speak with Kasthuri. Radha tells her that Kasthuri may not want to speak with her as she is still angry about the document they asked her to sign. Jothi is confident that if she spoke to Kasthuri in a certain manner, Kasthuri will agree.

Jothi meets Kasthuri and tells her that both Ram and Rekha are wanting to unite and she too want that. Kasthuri asks why ask or tell her as she has nothing to do with it. Jothi says that Masil will definitely come to see her once he is well and does not want Kasthuri to tell him anything about them asking her to sever ties or giving up her wealth. She begs Kasthuri (with crocodile tears!) not to tell Masil anything as she wants both Jothi and Masil to live together. Kasthuri promises she will not tell Masil anything because she is not like others who change their attitude and heart as they wish. Jothi goes back thanking her.

Masil is discharged. Jothi and Ram bring him out of the hospital. Doctor meets thema nd tells Masil to take care of himself and to come regularly for check up. Masil says ok and all three walk out. Ram hols Masil's hand and asks him to come home. Masil pushes him away and asks where home is. Jothi tells her husband to go to their house and Masil asks which house. He stops an auto and gets into it saying he is going to Kasthuri. Jothi wants to follow him but Masil pushes her away and leaves alone in the auto. Jothi tells Ram to go after Masil but Ram tells her to leave Masil alone as they can never change him.

Kasthuri is teaching Kavya. Masil comes there and Kasthuri is very happy to see him. Thiru comes downstairs and tells Kavya to go upstairs. After Kavya leaves, Thiru tells Masil about how Ram and Jothi blackmailed Kasthuri with Masil's life by asking her to handover all wealth and also to sign the document severing all ties. He tells Masil how Kasthuri was chased out when she came and begged to see him at the hospital. Kasthuri tries to stop him but Thir tells her to be quiet. Masil gets up and angry and tells her he will go back and teach them a lesson. He tells her he knows everything. Thiru's phone rings and he leaves Kasthuri and Masil to answer the phone. Kasthuri tell Masil that she is not worried about the wealth. She then thinks about her promise to Jothi and tells Masil, no one had forced her to sign the document about relationship. She did it herself because she is tired of living for Masil's family and now wants to live for her self. She says that Thiru and Kavya are now treating her like their family. She reminds Masil that he had wanted her to start a new life and get married and she had decided to do so. Masil says e knows about her and will never give him up for anything. Kasthuri says she has to otherwise her life will be at stake. Thiru hears this and is confused. Masil leaves saying he will go somewhere he feels peaceful and tells her to come to his funeral. He tells Kasthuri that anyone can come for a funeral, no need to be a relative or friend and leaves. Kasthuri cries. Thiru comes there and asks why she did that. Kasthuri tells him she had no choice because she had promised Jothi and leaves. Thiru thinks. THODARUM.

Jothi is crying. Ram asks her her why she is thinking about Masil when he left them at the hospital to to go Kasthuri. Jothi asks Ram to go with her to bring Maisl back but he refuses. Masil returns and Jothi is very happy to see him. Masil tells them he knows about Ram forcing Kasthuri to give her wealth to them. He tells them the wealth his only and he has the right to give to any one. He tells Jothi is they do not return the documents back to Kasthuri he will take severe action. Jothi cries and Masil tells her not to finish all the tears now because she will be crying more for having a son like Ram. He then chides Jothi for playing with her husband's life for the sake of her son and leaves. Jothi tries to stop him but is unable to. She then asks Ram to give back the documents to Kasthuri but Ram refuses and leaves. Jothi cries some more because she is unable to unite father and son.

Thiru returns home late and is quiet drunk. He enters the house and see Kasthuri with Kavya who is asleep on her lap. He walks further into the living and stops some distance away from Kasthuri and apologizes for bing late. Kasthuri looks at him confused at his slurring talk and swaying body. Thiru explains that he had a few drinks with a long time friend. Kasthuri says she did not know Thiru consumes alcohol. Thiru tells her he used to go to parties all the time in Singapore with Simi but Simi does not drink at all.

Thiru tells Kasthuri he has not touched alcohol since Simi's death but today because his friend had talk about their past and Simi he took some drinks. Kasthuri asks if by drinking he can bring Simi back. Thiru says he knows he can't but he had to. He then says he was shocked when Kasthuri turned Masil away when he came to see her. He tells her he does not understand why Kasthuri did that. He then tells Kasthuri that she is being a fool to give up all her wealth and they in turn will get everything changed to their name. Kasthuri says she does is not worried about wealth because to her Masil's life is very important to her. Thiru tells Kasthuri she has the right to sacrifice but it depends on who and why. He tells her that it is important to know if the person she is sacrificing for deserves it. Kasthuri says she is not concerned about that because it was for her mama's life. Thiru then says it is because of this sentiment that Kasthuri is losing everything. He then starts to say something else but stops saying he will talk to her the next day and walks away. He reaches the staircase and slips. Kasthuri run to help him but thiru apologizes and says he is okay and goes upstairs leaving a confused Kasthuri.

Ram returns home and sees his father sleeping outside. He goes in and asks Jothi why Masil is sleeping outside and when he returned. Jothi tells him Masil came back after Ram left in the morning and has been sitting outside without food or water. She tells Ram that until Ram returns everything to Kasthuri he will sit there. Jothi tells Ram to go wake Masil and give him the documents. Ram tells her to go to sleep and they will talk tomorrow. Jothi goes in. Ram thinks and has flashback of Soma telling him to be very careful about the documents and wealth. Soma also tells Ram not to listen to his father and give everything back as without moeny Ram is nothing. He tells Ram that money is more important than any father. Ram goes outside looks at his sleeping father, bends down, picks up a stone and hits his father. Blood splashes on Ram's face. THODARUM.

Continues from Friday - Ram smashed Masil's head with a large rock. Amma! Kasthuri wakes up screaming. She gets up and starts walking up and down her room. Calls Ganesh, who is in lala land and can't hear the cell. Kasthuri wipes her sweat and calls again very early in the morning. This time Ganesh wakes up and Kasthuri asks where Masil is. Ganesh asks her why and Kasthuri tells him she had sent Masil away to live with his wife. Ganesh tells Kasthuri he is still in Coimbature(I not sure of the spelling of this city!) because of business. He tells Kasthuri Masil had called him and informed him about where the keys are kept and says Masil must be in his house and hangs up. Kasthuri thinks for a moment hoping Masil is not at Ram's house and hopefully he is in Ganesh's house. Kasthuri finally decides to go to Ganesh's house and stops an auto. She keeps calling Ganesh's house on the way but no answer. Kasthuri recalls her dream and gets worried by the minute. She finally arrives at Ganesh's house and rings the door bell after seeing Masil's chappal outside. No answer.

She knocks and calls out for Masil, still no answer. She goes around and opens a window and sees Masil sleeping. She calls for him and after a few minutes, and seeing Masil sound asleep she calls the landline. Finally after a few minutes, Masil wakes up and sees Kasthuri. Seeing her in distress gets up and asks her why she is there so early in the morning and opens the door for her. Masil invites her in and asks her to sit. Kasthuri tells Masil she was worried about him and as he did not open the door for some time, she freaked out. Masil says he will not die so fast as he had sinned by having a son like Ram. Kasthuri asks why he is at Ganesh's house. Masil says Kasthuri refused let him live with her and as he has no where to go, he can to live with Ganesh. Kasthuri cries and says Masil had given her santuary when she was left alone like an orphan and Masil should not feel alone ans he has everyone. Masil says when he got Ram married to Kasthuri, he saw her as his DIL but when Ram left her, he saw Kasthuri as his daughter. But now as Kasthuri wants to have her own life, he does not want to come in between. Kasthuri tells him that she told him not to live with her because she wants him to be united with his wife.

Masil says he doesn't know if Kasthuri was telling him the truth about finding someone for herself, but now if possible, he wants Kasthuri to marry Thiru and settle down. Kasthuri asks Masil to go with her so that she can send him to Jothi. Masil wants Kasthuri to do as he says only then he will think about what she has asked him. Kasthuri promises to think about it. Masil tells Kasthuri not to go to Ram's house and he will find his way there. Kasthuri leaves with a heavy heart and Masil is in tears.

Mangai goes to her friend's house. The friend asks her how married life is. Mangai asks why she did not attend the wedding. Friend says she did not get off from work and asks if she likes her husband and Mangai says he is a very nice guy. Mangai asks her friend to find her a job immediately. Friend says she is now working in an export company but no job that is suitable for Mangai. Mangai says she will do any job until she gets a good one. Mangai wants to help out the family. Her friend says the job in her company is as a seamstress and must sit at the sewing machine for 12 hours. Mangai tells her she will take it and her friend takes her to her company. Friend asks if her husband will agree she working as a seamstress. Mangai says her husband doesn't know and it is okay to lie for a good thing.

Kasthuri at home pacing with a kadu-kadu face. Thiru comes down and sees her tensed. He too is tensed. Kasthuri turns to face him. THODARUM.

Thiru comes down and apologizes to Kasthuri for his behavior the night before. He tells her he should not have come back drunk to her house. Kasthuri tells him it is ok but wants him to take care of his health. Thiru says he does not believe that drinking has anything to do with health as some who drink heavily lives to be a 100 whereas another who has no bad habits die young. He says his wife, Simi did not deserve to die so young. Kasthuri tells Thiru he needs to live for his daughter Kavya. Thiru thanks Kasthuri for her advise and tells her he has to go out on an errand and leaves.

Rekha comes back with sweets and offers her mother. Radha asks why Rekha is so happy and distributing sweets. Rekha tells her mother about AR Rahman winning the Oscar awards and she felt like celebrating and leaves.

Mangai's friend (forgot her name) takes Mangai to the garments factory and introduces to her Supervisor (freaky guy) and tells him she has brought Mangai for a job. The man leers at Mangai. Friend takes mangai aside and warns her about the Supervisor and tells her to be careful and later takes Mangai to her boss and he asks her to work in the 2nd unit to be trained and later will be put in the 1st unit with her friend. mangai is taken to the Supervisor and told that Mangai will work in the 2nd unit. The Supervisor asks Mangai if she is married and his face changes when tell him she is. He then tells her where to sit and for her not totalk to the ladies there. He tells her he will be right there to show her the works.

Rekha tells Radha Jothi is there to see her. Radha gets up and tells Rekha Jothi mus thave come about Rekh/Ram. Rekha at first tells her mom to give her some time. Radha tells Rekha not ot waste time and for her to decide now. Finally Rekha tells her mother she has no opinion about Ram whatsoever but will do as her mother wishes. Jothi is happy and goes down to tell Jothi the good news. Jothi is very happy and thanks Radha. Radha tells Jothi to see the the priest and find an auspicious days so that both Ram and Rekha can exchange garland at a temple and start a new life and wants Masil's blessing. Jothi tells Radha about Masil being angry with her and Ram for treating Kasturi bad. Jothi says he will never give his blessings and that they should just do what needs to be done and then she will fall at Masil's feet and ask for forgiveness.

Masil is in Vishvanathan's(Kasthuri's father) house. Masil tell Vishvanathan that he will not forgivve Jothi even if she falls at her feet for what she had done. He tells Vishu that to Jothi son is greater than husband. He says he will never forgive Ram for what he has done to Kasthuri. Vishu tells Masil that no matter what Jothi is is wife and he should live with her at this old age. Finally Masil says he will. He tells Vishu he had come to spend a few days with Vishu and asks if he can. Vishu tells him he is welcomed to stay for as long as he likes. Masil then asks Vishu why he is not visiting Kasthuri as he used to. Vishu says he is so used to Kasthuri's old face that he cannot bear to see the new Kasthuri. He says he cannot accept the new face and is in tears as he looks up at his wife's photo on the wall. Masil too looks and the photo and is solemn. THODARUM.

Continues from yesterday. Vishu tells Masil that Kasthuri's face was the replica of his wife's face and with the face transplant (he forgot body transplant too), not only his daughter's face was lost his wife's too and cries. Masil tells him not to cry. Bharath is working hard in his company carrying parts from one spot to another. He sits down for a moment and his friends asks him if he is tired. The friend says it is hard work but after some time he will get use to it. The friend then asks if Bharath needs money and if he does, he can talk to the boss and ask for an advance of $2000.00. Bharath tells his friend that he has never bought anything for his wife since marriage and agrees.

Jothi gives Ram coffee and tells him the good news about Rekha agreeing to unite with him. Ram is very happy and all smiles and asks how she knows. Jothi tells about her visit to Rekha's house and Radha had told her the news. Ram asks again if it is true and Jothi tells Ram to meet Rekha himself and talk. Ram says ok and leaves leaving a smiling Jothi.

Rekha tells her driver to wait as she had to do some purchases and will be about an hour. She takes Santhosh and walks towards the store. Ram approaches and asks how she is. Rekha tells him she is fine. Ram tells her his mother told him about her decision. He tells Rekha he never wanted to leave Rekha in the first place and wants her tomake the decision herself. He tells her he wants to be together with her and Santosh as a family. Rekha is quiet and Ram asks why she is quiet. Rekha tells Ram her mother has spoken to her and she has promised to think about it but has not given her decision. She then tells about Ram's behavior and how he had tortured her. Ram says it was because of Kasthuri that he has been like that but now he is not. Rekha says she knows that Ram is still with Soma who has killed her father and wants him to leave Soma. Ram says he will severe ties with Soma. Rekha then tells Ram that even when they were suffering Ram had not helped them but had insulted her mother when she asked for help. Rekha tells Ram if they are together, Ram will have to proof himself as she does not trust him yet. Ram listens and promises to bee good. After Rekha leaves Ram laughs and talks to himself that he want to enter Rekha's house and then will show who he is.

Sindh and her younger daughter Jayandti are preparing food. Mangai walks in and asks for coffee. Jayanthi goes in to bring coffee. Sindha asks if Bharath knows abouther working and if she is working in the old company doing accounts. Mangai lies to her mother saying she got back her old job. Bharath comes home and Mangai asks it looks like he had gone shopping. Bharath says afte work, he had gone shopping and bought sarees for them and asks them to choose themselves. Jayanthi chooses hers first and gives the bag to her sister. Sindha asks why he is buying for all of them and Bharath says he wanted to. Mangai asks how his work is and he lies it is nothing as it is something he has done before and when he asks Mangai she too lies saying same as before. Mangai goes in and Sindha asks if Bharath wants coffee but he refuses. Mangai brings a package and give Bharath - a shirt for him. Bharath asks why and Mangai says she bought for him. Bharath says why not wait until they get paid and Mangai says he too did not wait. Everyone is happy and tell him to clean up and they will prepare food.

Rekha and Radha travelling in the car. Radha asks what Ram said. Rekha says Ram talked about their live together. Radha advises her daughter to respect Ram. Rekha says how can she trust and respect a husband who is a fraud. Rekha tells Radha that there is a case on Ram and he is only out on bail. She says that Kasthuri is very angry with her because Kasthuri can bring up the case and put Ram in jail then they will have to visit Ram in jail. Radha tells Rekha not to worry about that as she will take care of everything.

Mangai takes a piece of garment to her friend Kala and asks about stitching and goes back to her seat. The supervisor goes to her and asks if everything is ok. Mangai says it is fine. Supervisor says she needs to remember that today is pay day. Mangai asks why as she is being paid for work done. Supervisor says she will only get paid if her name is on the payroll. Mangai looks at him and he asks her what she will give him. Mangai looks again and he says he is not asking for commission but wants to know what she will give him. Mangai stares at him. THODARUM.

Supervisor tells Mangai to work properly and goes to Kala nad tells her Mnagai is a good worker. He tells Kala to go buy some stuff for the factory. Kala goes to Mangai and tells her she needs to take her mother to the hospital for check up and asks MAngai to go get the spare parts from another company in town. Mangai agrees and Kala leaves. Soma walks up and down in his hospital room. His friend, Neelamagam asks him what he is thinking about. Soma jokes about the Movie Nenjil or Aalayam. Bala runs to Soma and tells him that Ram and Rekha are getting together. Soma says that is old news and tells about how Radha had requested Kathuri to take back the case against Ram which Kasthuri has complied. Now the oldies are looking for an auspicious day for uniting Ram and Rekha. Soma says Ram and Rekha must not unite because Ram knows everything about him. If both Ram and Rekha unite, he will be threatened. Bala says they are very strong in getting together and Soma says he is stong in his intention not allowing that to happen.

Bharath working in his factory and Mangai is coming there to get the spare parts there. Mangai arrives at the factory and asks to see the company owner and goes inside. She sees the owner and asks for the spare parts. The man tells her to go in and see the supervisor. Mangai walks into the factory and sees the supervisor. Bharath walks out and sees Mangai. Mangai looks up but Bharath covers his face with a box and hides. Mangai walks behind looking for him but is not able to see her. Bharath wonders why Mangai came there. Mangai is actually at the back of Bharath and walks towards him and sees him. Bharath turns around and sees her. Both look at each other with shock. Bharath smiles and Mangai asks how come he is there and what he is doing. Bharath stammers and asks her why she came there. Mangai asks what he is working as. Bharath takes her aside and she asks him that he told her he was working in a computer firm and why he lied. Bharath says he has to work until he gets a job there. The supervisor is listening to their conversation. Mangai says she is hurt he had lied to her. Supervisor comes there and says Mangai is lucky to have Bharath as her husband as he is working to help her family. He tells Mangai to understand Bharath's situation and leaves. Bharath an dMangai leave.

Kasthuri is with Kavya playing chess. Kavya tells her to make her move fast. Kasthuri makes her move and looks at KAvya. Kavya thinks and makes her move. Thiru comes back and Kavya tells him mommy has been losing all the games. Thiru says mommy may have just let her win as she is the epitome of sacrifice. Thiru tells them to continue playing as he wants to go freshen up. Kasthuri tell Kavya to wait while she makes coffee for Thiru. Amirtha and Ganesh comes back and Ganehs tells her that the work in Coimbature is completed. Kasthuri says she has also spoken to the company manager and everything has been taken care off. Ganesh asks her if she met Masil. Kasthuri says she did and had asked him to go back to his wife. Amirtha says Masil would be happier to live with Kasthuri but Kasthuri tells them that it is best for Jothi and Masil to live together. Kasthuri tells Ganesh to go talk to Masil but he refuses saying if he went there he will have to see Ram. Kasthuri says not to think like that because it is Masil he is going there. Ganesh agrees. Amirtha tells Kasthuri that they havvve seen a good day for Ram and Rekha to get together. Kasthuri says she knows about this and says that both Radha and Jothi are wanting their children to be happy. Kasthuri tells them that Rekha knows about Ram and don't understand how Rekha agrees to take Ram back. She says Rekha's life will surely be destroyed. Thiru is listening to all this. THODARUM.

Kasthuri meets Rekha and asks her if she has really made up her mind to accept Ram back. Kasthuri tells Rekha not to forget what Ram had done to her before and not to fall for his schemes. Kasthuri tells Rekha about how Ram had insulted her when she was in a difficult situation and had not helped her. She tells Rekha not to make the same mistake again. Rekha says she is not like Kasthuri who had gone to Singapore and found a rich businessman. To her whether her husband is stone or grass, she will live only with him. She wants Rekha to think again. Rekha pretends to think and says she had decided to accept Ram back into her life and leave hautily. Kasthuri just looks at her totally defeated.

Soma calls his goondas and everything is in muted dialog and hangs up. Jothi goes to Radha's house. Radha asks if she knows where Masil is. Jothi sadly says she does not know. Even Ganesh does not know where he is. Radha says maybe he is at Kasthuri's house but Jothi says he is not because Kasthuri sent him away. Jothi feels he is not in the city and might have gone back to the village. Rekha comes in and Jothi asks if Ram spoke with her. Rekha says Ram talked to her and so did Kasthuri. She tells the two oldies that Kasthuri had told her not to accept Ram back for what he had done to her. Radha tells Rekha not to listen to Kasthuri because she wants Rekha to be a valla vetti like her. Jothi says Kasthuri is not a valla vetti but is living happily with Thiru and Radha too agrees. Rekha says she will not listen to Kasthuri. Radha tells Jothi that Kasthuri is from the village but has chosen to marry another man after being left by Ram but Radha who is from the city and well educated is still living for her husband only. Jothi says Rekha is from a good family but Kasthuri is a mistake made by her husband which destroyed her son's happiness. Rekha tells her mother she needs a file and walks in but slips and knocks herself. Radha and Jothi asks her to sit and give her some water. Rekha takes the file and says she will return late in the night as she has to so some work and leaves.

The leader of Soma's goondas goes home and gives moeny to his wife and tells her to cook for him as he will be back in the night. He gets a call and leaves. Rekha is returning home and her car stops. The driver gets out and checks it. Rekha gets angry and scolds the driver for not taking careof the car. Driver says the car was in good condition and does not know why it stopped. Rekha gets mad and tells him she will get an auto and go home andwalks away. After Rekha leaves, the driver calls someone and tells the person that Rekha is walking alone. Rekha is walking, a car stops and some masked men chase her and hit her with clubs. Rekha falls and is unconcious. The men run away. Rekha lies on the road unconcious. THODARUM.
